The employees refuse to wear masks or enforce masks in store. I walked into this store twice on separate days and both times there were multiple staff behind the counter without masks and customers with masks on their chins, so I walked out before getting what I needed. There are plenty of Auto tag places in the area so ill take my business to a place that actually cares about their customers and public health in general. read more

Came here last week and the two ladies here were super nice and helpful. I called in before coming in and one of them informed me of everything I needed to bring in. It didn't take too long for me to get my car registered and be on my way. Parking could be a pain and remember to bring cash! There is an ATM inside though so if you don't have cash, at least make sure to have your debit card on hand. read more

I've been to a lot of auto tag places. This place is the best. Clean, very neat, extremely responsive and friendly staff. I had a problem with my registration and someone apparently decided to deactivate my license plate. They sorted through the problem in a matter of about two minutes got my car new plates, updated my registration, and even updated my address on my license. Cannot recommend enough. read more

The process for getting my out of state plates changed to Pennsylvania was exceedingly easy. I called ahead to be certain that I had everything (though all this info should be pretty self evident) and I was told exactly what to bring and what the process would entail. Once there, Carol helped me out and she is a real pro! Got my paperwork sorted, my VIN verified, and my new PA plates to me all within, probably less than 15 minutes. It's not crowded there and well kept and tidy. Carol and another fellow were also really helpful in letting me know where to go for legit emissions inspections. We're new to Philly, so this idea of privately-owned auto tag shops is completely foreign to us...in New York everything's done through the DMV. Had a decidedly mixed experience getting tags for one car, so called Fishtown Auto Tags for the other. Firstly, they answered the phone. So that's already a plus. Then the owner stayed on the line, explaining everything I'd need to do, answered all my questions thoroughly and in a friendly manner. Went over there, and unlike the previous place, this one actually seemed like a legitimate business. Professional service. In and out relatively quickly and without incident. Giving two stars because my first experience a few years ago with this establishment was *decent* -- still not something I would rant and rave about. I was in disbelief by the way I was treated on the phone today. Not sure which woman it was, but she was so rude to me that I eventually hung up the phone because the call was so ridiculous. I am not from Pennsylvania, and so I am unfamiliar with the way everything works in regards to inspections, registrations, tags, etc. All I was looking for today was a little clarity in how these intersect. From the very beginning I was patronized and treated like the questions I was asking were absolutely ridiculous. Horrendous customer service. They got my title switched over to PA and initial registration set up a couple years ago, but I will never go to this place again. read more

Hands down the best auto tag place in the city , let alone the neighborhood! Its super convenient right on the corner hard to miss , even had a ramp for strollers or wheel chairs!! I stopped by this establishment to see about getting my camper registered in PA (purchased in NY) and it could not have been easier. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and helped immediately. The shop was about to close but they stayed open for me and were pleasant and efficient. I inquired about a car insurance quote and they were able to help me (enthusiastically on a Saturday at closing time!) with that as well. The location is convenient and parking on York Road is usually available. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. read more
