I found Village Pilates on ClassPass and booked the "beginner mat" class the night before. Getting there- There is meter parking right in front of the studio and you ring the doorbell for an instructor to let you in. As a first timer, they asked me to fill out a waiver upon walking inside. They ask for some generic information like birthdate and home address, but they also have a space where you can notify them of any injuries or health needs that should be known before taking the class. When I wrote that I had scoliosis, Len checked in with me and said I should let him know if I feel any pain during class so that he can provide me a modification. The experience- I was pleasantly surprised by my ability to follow the instructors sequence and pacing. "Len" was the instructor for the beginner mat class. He was super patient and helpful in correcting any errors in my form in a kind and respectful way. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to go back!

It's clean, has lots of cardio equipment, strength equipment and great classes. I've taken 2 HIIT classes so far and they were well taught and targeted the entire body. I was so sore after them but it's exactly what I was hoping for. In addition to the equipment, there's also a running track, a basketball gym and a sauna. Right next door there is also a cafe. I haven't tried anything there but it looks nice. For the most part parking is easy to find, either on the street in front of the lot just east of the facility. One of the best aspects of the gym is the value. For my husband and I, it's only $25/mo for autopay. We love working out at LCFC!!

This year the annual pool cleaning was scheduled from 7/13-7/19, reopens the 20th. All they did to let people know was put a piece of paper out that said "pool closing at 1pm" this morning. They could've sent out an email or a message on the app stating this information. It would be nice if they actually put time into the app like updated the hours around holidays or updating us on things like this, etc. At the end of the day, this probably didn't effect many, but it is still annoying and kinda shows that they don't really take into consideration our time.

Unlike most health clubs, maintenance and upkeep are ongoing with no obvious deferred maintenance. There is also great continuity in staff and instructors--it is a testament to good management that this club doesn't suffer from constant turnover as many gyms do. The workouts are fun (if you're into that kind of thing ) and challenging. I really like that they watch for form and seem to care that you're training safely and focusing on function rather than simply lifting heavy or getting in more reps. The kicker for me was when the encouraged me to look into why I identifeid with a weak person (another client who they asked to leave). If you can ignore the vibe and focus on the way your body moves then you'll do better than I did here.

The coaches and members are supportive and kind, and the fitness plans are meticulously crafted to ensure members make progress. If you like a relaxed atmosphere that allows you the space to try new things while having the opportunity to actually track yourself getting stronger and fitter, this is the place for you. Bonus points for having men and women of different ages. It's so refreshing to work out in a room of people who may be a decade younger than me or a decade (or two!) older than me. This is a hard review to write but here is it... This review is not towards Mike but it is towards…read morethe team members that work at the gym. Watch out for them! I will start by saying I have met Mike and I do think he is a good guy. He is out for others well being and wants to help however the end goal of the gym is to make money. The story; my cousin and I bought a groupon for 3 personal training classes. We met with a guy named Andrew H.; one of Mike's trainers. Andrew worked us out good and at the end of the third session Andrew and Mike both asked my cousin if we want to continue and we said no because the gym is not what we wanted. Mike let it go but Andrew then reached out to us and said he would train us at our homes, use our gyms; he gave us a killer deal and we started working out with him. The story gets good when Andrew gets a check from my cousin and cashes it in but then signs her up for a travel company called World Ventures/ VacationSooner.com and he starts taking endless amounts of money out of her accounts. He basically took the checking information and played with all her accounts. She was able to close one account out but then realized she got hit with the same charges on another account. The banks and credit teams gave her Andrew's name and said he is the one taking all the money out of her accounts and he now has the fraud and police after him. Long story short, you will get a killer workout here, there is no question there but pay with cash; you never know who will take your money from the gym. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with banks and crazy people that don't know how to respect their employer or their clients. Needless to say - we fired Andrew two weeks in because he had more excuses then we could take. Bottom line just be careful; pay with a cash and learn from us do not sign up for personal training classes; you will get cheated!

Even paying full price for the classes is an amazing experience. Mike (owner/instructor) is awesome and always smiling, motivating you to do your best, and always willing to answer any questions you may have regarding fitness or nutrition. The boot camp classes were never boring because every time he was doing different workouts and working different muscle groups. This is thanks to Mike's enthusiasm and desire to keep things interesting and effective. If you want to be in an environment with great people to work out with you and a coach that's both invested in what he does and ambitious to grow his company and provide great service, this is the place to be. Thorough recommendations.
