Once I was hooked…read moreto the structure and ethos - low impact, amazing workouts that improved my body, mind, and breath - I started visiting B3 locations around the U.S. As a Chicago native, I was ecstatic when I heard about a new location in Clarendon Hills and once I met Mariel, the owner, I knew I found a new B3 home. Fast forward three years and I have taken 114 classes at this location. B3 is amazing and this location is part of my life primarily because of the staff. Mariel is of course terrific, but she doesn't hire just anyone. And, all instructors must first attend a training in Oregon (where the company was founded). While each instructor has certain strengths, they are all great and committed to your individual success while simultaneously making the whole group working out feel like everyone matters. I am one of very few men at this location, but in this day and age I am actually more comfortable being in such a female-oriented space. This location is not for "bros," toxicity, or ego. It is supportive and beautiful, but still makes you feel stronger and ALWAYS better off than when you started.

I invited a friend to this Life Time Fitness location expecting a high-end experience, but…read moreunfortunately it turned into a very disappointing situation. His belongings were stolen from the men's locker room, and we immediately filed a police report. After over a month of no communication, management finally reached out saying they "might" have a suspect. About a week later, we were told the bag had suddenly reappeared in the locker room after a nightly check--which raises serious concerns. When we retrieved the items, cash ($300) and a YSL cologne were missing. There are too many inconsistencies, and the situation feels poorly handled and unprofessional. What's more concerning is the lack of accountability--calls to the GM have gone unanswered, and no effort has been made to offer compensation or reassurance. For a facility that markets itself as luxury, this experience fell far below expectations. I've also since heard of similar incidents happening in the men's locker room, which is alarming.

Love how many pole, aerial, and dance rooms there are, as well as a kitchen for special events. Everyone was super friendly, to the point where I had to excuse myself from conversation because I was a few minutes late to class. Oops. I don't know…read morehow it has taken me this long to write a review, but here is the story: Near the end of my pregnancy, all of my regular workout classes were no longer doable. I love group fitness and was struggling to find a class that there were reasonable accommodations for my current state, but I still wanted a good workout. I googled for pre-natal classes and Fit4Mom came up in my search. I found a Fit4Baby class to try out. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and understood. And then I got a great workout in! By the end of class, the owner was inviting me to her house for a St. Patrick's Day celebration. I knew then that I'd need to join the village. A few weeks later, I had my baby boy. About 4 weeks into my maternity leave, I was antsy and ready to get moving again and I remembered Fit4Mom and their wide selection of stroller classes that I could attend WITH my baby (no childcare needed)! What better way to do something for both of us while on leave? Little man and I got out of the house every day for some fresh air and a workout, which helped us develop a routine...and I met a bunch of amazing women and their kids! Everyone even supports each other when a baby or kid is crying. I had other instructors or moms offer to push my stroller around so I could keep hustling! I was bummed to go back to work for multiple reasons, and one of those was that I'd no longer get to spend my mornings with a group of women who wanted to workout, be healthy and take care of their kids! This brings me to my next phase with Fit4Mom - Boost classes & Body Back. I was ready to really start working out harder, and these classes and sessions were JUST what I needed. I have completed to Body Back sessions and have an all-access pass for unlimited classes now, and I have to say that I got into the best shape of my life this year. With the support of amazing instructors who TRULY care about you and help you reach your goals, along with the women you work out alongside each time, I've never found something that works better for me (and I have done every type of fitness, health and workout class there is)! This is so much more than just a workout. It is a lifestyle - backed by a community of amazing, non-judgmental women. I am so proud to say I am one of those women! While I am still keeping up with classes, I have also started attending more Mom's Night Outs as well. This is just the cherry on top! I've had a BLAST hanging out with these women outside of our workouts and talking over a glass of wine. This is a community who truly GETS it - being a mom and trying to do it all. We laugh, we cry, and we work our butts off when it's time to hustle. I am ever grateful for finding this community that only gets better and better! The studio itself is so calming; it is very relaxing with the low lighting and wooden floor. It's the perfect space to let go of the outside noise, work those muscles, and free your mind! Oh - and good music too! I highly recommend any of the classes with instructor, Billy. I especially enjoy the Friday Yoga Blend. Just like the studio, he is warm, kind and offers lots of modifications to the poses. Try one class and you'll see!
