The gym is really nice! I learned they recently expanded. On top of the really nice shiny new equipment and clean work space, Nicole did a really great job supervising and scaling the WOD for my mom. It really showed her that she doesn't need to start off with a 300# deadlift just because it's CF. The workout is safe and accessible for all skills levels and walks of life. The best thing about this gym is that everyone here is so nice and supportive. It doesn't matter if you're lifting 10 lbs or 800 lbs. No one cares. Music is playing and everyone is there to work out and lend a hand to anyone. The owner is a former pro lifter and is also incredibly helpful and nice. It's also super quick and easy to sign up and they offer 24-hour access which I love.

Oh boy. Where to even begin??…read more I started coming to CF Novi almost 5 months ago and have been completely and utterly blown away by the impact this gym has had on my health and well-being. I had no prior athletic experience when I started coming to CrossFit Novi and when I would go to the gym I wouldn't stray further than the treadmill. The coaches here made me feel 100% comfortable and at home immediatly. They spent a TON of time, care, and attention teaching me the basics and have been great about scaling/customizing the workouts to my level. I cannot stress enough just how great these coaches are. With their help so far I've lost 30 pounds and have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge, strength, & new skills (hoorayyyy wall kick ups and double-unders ). Their patience and possitivity has been outstanding. Other perks - The box is big, beautiful, and super clean, they have showers, & the people who go here are all extremely pleasant. A number of teachers have been there for many years and I believe that speaks to the business practices. Thanks to my Aunt De-De and Uncle Warren, I was talked into getting up pretty early last Saturday…read moremorning to meet them for a workout at Art of Strength. I didn't know what to expect other than an intense workout, and that's exactly what I received! The class I attended was split into two smaller groups. One went with Mike and one with Peter. I went with Peter and my workout included cardio (with a stationary bike, rowing machine, ski machine, and jumping jacks), lunges, upper body using a medicine ball and ropes, and a ton of squats. I liked how we kept switching exercises so I didn't get bored at all. I also liked that Peter took into account injuries of those in our group and gave them alternative exercises that were right for their situation... trainers / instructors don't always do that. The folks in Mike's group (including my aunt, uncle, cousin, brother, and a few friends) were all out of breath and dripping sweat by the end of their workout. I could tell that Mike's reputation is to be tough and kind of a smart-ass, but it works. He's a huge motivator for those in the gym. I loved the energy at AOS and I would totally workout here if I lived in Michigan full time. I was a little nervous after the workout that I'd be too sore to stand up at my sister's wedding that evening, but I felt great and had a fabulous time at the wedding... Thanks again to Peter for the workout and to Aunt De-De for motivating me to get my ass to AOS that morning!

Mike Knight and Oli took me under their wing and helped me get started. I've been going for two months and I can already see some positive results.
