As shown on their individual location page, the highest tier membership is $64.99. There are cheaper memberships depending on what membership you sign up for. It is not overly packed during the times that I go, usually around 6:30pm on weekdays and sometimes Sunday evenings. I generally count 8-10 people at most and have never had to wait for a machine or equipment. The only humidity you experience is in one of the bathrooms if someone previously took a shower. However, they leave the door open to promote airflow. As far as I am aware, there is airflow and I have not once felt uncomfortable there. Judging from a majority of reviews, many people like and in fact, love this gym. It will not anger you, unless you are quick to get angry over things. It sounds to me that the real cause of this low review was being charged an amount that they did not agree with, and possibly missing important details when signing up. This could have been resolved with a phone call, instead of a poor review. I would urge you, dear reader, to approach negative reviews like this with caution. Understand that the employees here care, it is not a crowded gym or humid in any manner, and Trent is there to help you out when needed. There is no pressure to join if you sign up for a free trial either.

The only thing is the loud music inside sometimes -- though i love the music that they play, but makes it kinda sorta hard for me to listen to my own even with full blast volume with my headphones. But overall, I love it here! I've brought a few friends and would keep recommending it to any woman looking for an empowering place to workout

They make it seem like such a welcoming, supportive, safe space for girls, but my experience has been the complete opposite. Almost every interaction I've had with the staff has been rude, unprofessional, and uncomfortable for absolutely no reason. The girls that work there constantly have attitudes, act bothered when you ask questions, and are honestly just very unhelpful. There was even a time I asked for help using a machine because I genuinely didn't know how to use it, and the staff member got visibly annoyed even though she was literally just sitting on her phone doing nothing. That's honestly what most of them do every time I go in sit around on their phones but then act irritated when members need help. It's disappointing because I really wanted this to be a gym where I felt comfortable. I don't always feel comfortable at regular gyms, which is why I was excited about an all girls gym in the first place. But somehow I've felt more welcomed and comfortable at regular gyms than I ever have here, which is honestly sad considering what this place claims to stand for. If you're looking for a supportive "girls support girls" environment, this is probably not the place. Super disappointing experience overall.

Buyer Beware: Fraudulent Charges & Nightmare Cancellation Process…read moreBefore you sign up for a membership at City Sports, you need to know their cancellation policy is intentionally designed to trap you. You cannot cancel online, and you cannot cancel over the phone. They force you to physically come into the office to do it. I specifically went into the Fremont location in April to cancel my membership. I went through their whole process, gave them my reason for cancelling, and was explicitly told that I would no longer be charged. In reality, they completely ignored my request and continued charging me for two more months. I only realized it after checking my bank statements. When I called the Fremont location to get it sorted out, the staff didn't offer a single apology. Instead, they acted like it was my fault and pretended I had never canceled, completely gaslighting me even though I physically walked into their building to do exactly what they require. Check your bank statements closely if you deal with this place. Their customer service is dishonest and completely unaccountable.

UPDATE- since my review honestly the staffs done a 360 as far as the front, theirs always a guy at the front when I come in, he's super attentive and greets everyone. So I joined this gym 2 weeks ago (my Medicare advantage plan gives me free gym membership thru…read moreSilver Sneakers program which PF accepts). I have never joined a gym before. I just want to do a little workout to stave off death . So far I have been very pleased. The staff are all friendly, helpful and no sales pressure to upgrade to their higher tier- which I don't need. They explained how the cardio machines work- you have to start using them, then you program your desired levels etc. The gym itself is clean, well maintained. There are lots of disinfecting stations to wipe down the machines, and most of the patrons do so after every use. The woman's locker room is very clean and the bathrooms are well maintained. I don't use the showers, but took a peek and they appear to be clean, no build up of hair/ soap etc. Another plus, there is no gym smell of sweat etc. There is music playing overhead but it is not overwhelmingly loud- most people wear their earbuds/headphones, but you are able to have a conversation without shouting. The temperature is perfect. (This week the Bay Area is having a heat wave but the gym is nicely cooled but not meat locker cold!) As I am retired, I go there mid afternoon so it is not busy/crowded- I can't say how busy they are mornings or evenings. Parking is good. There are multiple TV's each tuned to a specific channel and the cardio machines have the ability to listen to your selected channel via headphones/ Bluetooth buds etc. I had a brief session with their on staff trainer (free) and he was helpful explaining form etc. Overall, this gym is great for beginners and intermediate people, It is not intimidating and people are there to do their own thing. I have not seen people there showing off huge muscles/weights lifted, nor showing off their latest cute outfits. There are people of all ages and abilities (saw wheelchairs/canes and teenagers). I've gone 10 times over a two week period and so far am very happy I joined. They don't have aerobic classes/spin classes etc. this is just a place to get your workout done and leave. Lots of different machines and weights so you won't get bored.

I support encouraging young people to live healthier lives, but the High School Summer Pass program…read moreshould have a designated schedule or separate hours for teens. During the summer, many Planet Fitness locations have started to feel more like a kindergarten than a gym. Large groups of teenagers gather around equipment, socialize, and often don't actually work out. They occupy machines for long periods, creating unnecessary congestion and making it difficult for paying members to complete their workouts. A simple solution would be to designate specific hours for teen participants or limit the number of free-pass users during peak times. That would allow teens to benefit from the program while ensuring regular members can enjoy the gym they pay for without overcrowding or excessive delays. The goal should be to promote fitness for everyone while maintaining a respectful and efficient workout environment.
