I wouldn't recommend this place if you are a teen or young adult, but it is for older women who wear mediums or larges. That being said, I would recommend 2nd Ave Thrift store in Union (very cheap and fashionable) or Anthem off North Union Avenue (for fashion and in-style clothing) for those younger and smaller women looking to go thrifting.

I went out of my way to Cranford to check out this store (in celebration of National Thrift Day-- today). I passsed by around 4:30-ish pm and there was a notice on the door saying the shopkeeper would be back at 5. The notice said: "Stepped out to Laundromat and Post Office. Return 5 pm." It doesn't make sense to me to go do laundry during business hours? Shouldn't errands like that be done during the lunch hour if anything? But it didn't bother me at first I just walked around and came back at 5. And waited. And waited. I waited 1 hour for the shopkeeper to come back (until 6pm) and still no sign of the person coming back. After a while it was kind of hot to wait outside and I felt really weird standing outside for so long so I stepped into a café and watched from the seat. By the time it was 6, I couldn't even check out the vintage shops in other neighboring towns I was hoping to. All in all a disappointing day. It was just kind of unprofessional and disrespectful of customers' time and energy. In total I came, spent 90 minutes, energy, gas, parking money, etc etc just to come see this one store and waited outside the store for a significant amount of time kind of looking like an idiot...not a great impression. I was really patient waiting an hour and a half and I just don't want other customers to go through that. To be clear stuff happens and so I don't take it personally but it was just unfortunate. If I'm in the area again I'd still love to still swing by and try giving it another go.

It's no secret that Target stores vary widely in quality from location to location. However, Clark…read morehas the distinction of being a location that varies widely depending on when you go. Being an action figure collector, my travels take me to a wide assortment of Target stores around the Union County area. Generally, each Target has its own personality and level of organization and cleanliness. Clark however seems to pull a Jekyll and Hyde routine on a regular basis. At times, I visit this location and the shelves look like a typhoon hit them. For several weeks in a row during the Spring, I visited the toy section of this location and most of the pegs were empty - because the toys were all just scattered all over the shelves and floor. There was no organization either. Different brands were all piled up on top of one another and it was a really sad scene for about a month straight. However, on a more recent visit however everything was super neat and organized (likely due to a recent reset). More importantly, when I could not find one item I needed, I provided one of the employees with a DCPI number (which you can find on their web site) and they were kind enough to tell me which other stores had the item. They don't *have* to do this, so the fact that they took the time to do this was very kind of them. The one thing I will say that is consistent, unfortunately, are the long lines. I mean WOW. Out of every Target I've ever been to, this is the only one where the line is almost always stretching way past the cashier stations and back into aisles (unless you go first thing in the morning). The problem is pretty simple: they don't have enough cashiers and they heavily rely on the self check outs which is a terrible system because people will pull up to the self check outs with carts entirely full and take their...very...slow...time...scanning...every...item. Target reported a revenue of $26.04 billion last quarter. You'd think they could afford to hire like, two more cashiers. So this isn't the best Target in the world, but I can't say it's the worst either. I wouldn't say stay away from it, but I would say to temper your expectations. You could have a great experience or a bad one, it all depends on the luck of the draw.
