Mike has a lot of experience and could probably cater any event in his sleep, however, his "bedside manner" is lacking and put a damper on some of the wedding planning. I never believed Mike had ill intentions, but I think if he had a more positive attitude during his consultations and tastings, his business would be even bigger. I didn't feel like he fully listened to all of my ideas and was very opinionated with decisions I had made for the wedding unrelated to food. As brides, we are very stressed during wedding planning, and while I'm sure Mike was coming from a good place, it made me and my family uncomfortable with how many things he had to say about our order of events, whether we were serving alcohol or not, timeline, etc. On the wedding day, his team arrived a little later than I anticipated (not late, just not at the time we thought) and he parked front and center of the venue and didn't move his catering van after they were done unloading. We had to move our welcome signs and it was just an awkward sight for guests to arrive at the beautiful venue and then see a catering van in the entrance. There was also some tension between Mike and the mother of the groom as she was trying to remove chairs for guests who did not arrive so there weren't empty chairs in photos, and he did not let her remove them. We didn't have as many leftovers as advertised. When Mike asked me what I wanted to drink on day of wedding, I asked for water and tea and he said I needed to pick one. All of these complaints are small but they do add up and made me ultimately decide that I would not recommend this business to another bride for her wedding solely because I believe wedding vendors not only need to provide a quality product, but need to have a good attitude and positive energy. Hearing negative comments from my family after the wedding related to the catering experience made me sad since every other aspect of the wedding went perfectly! Again, the food is great and we had not one complaint about quality - I just didn't mesh well with Mike and am disappointed in the overall experience.

The menu was grilled chicken with a sun dried tomato sauce, rice, green beans(fresh, not canned), mashed potatoes(fresh, not flakes), salad, rolls, and some type of punch that had me mildly harassing the server on the ingredients to no avail.....that punch was lethal and I can't even begin to figure out the recipe but he did tell me it was a bunch of stuff mixed together.....they definitely need to market that stuff. The food was simply incredible, perfectly seasoned chicken with a creamy sauce that disappeared pretty quickly. I've had many catered events but never had any of them serve fresh green beans, it's almost always canned(little things impress me:-). Moist rice pilaf with onions and other seasonings and my goodness the mashed potatoes were heavenly! Everything was just amazingly good and I tried my best to at least get one recipe but he just wouldn't budge......even tried to get him to open a restaurant......harrassed the heck out of him:-) I guess I'll have to plan an event so that Chef Henry can deliver up more of that delicious food.....the punch alone is worth it.
