When I was visiting my friend in Fort Mill, he went out to grab some bagels in the morning. I was not expecting much. I was PLEASANTLY surprised in the most delicious way. I took one bite of this bagel and cream cheese and was like, "this is a good bagel Travis." I took another bite of the bagel and was like, "this is like actually a really good bagel Travis." I probably said it like 5 times. The chew on this bagel was *chefs kiss*. I also decided to got a chicken caesar wrap because everything was so incredibly affordable. The flavor of the wrap was good... but the filling to tortilla ratio was a bit off. There was a lot of tortilla folded on other tortilla because of lack of filling. That said, the sparse filling inside was VERY good. The chicken was super fresh and the Caesar dressing was pretty darn tasty. There were just a few too many bites that were completely tortilla. Neighborhood staple. Most of the time, they're filled with neighborhood regulars. Who just want a simple breakfast or lunch meal that's quick, cheap but more gourmet than the typical fast food around Tega Cay. The place is cozy and small. Nothing fancy. You look for what you want. Believe the hype - This place is truly legitimate. This is the closest that you will get to a New York/Long Island Style Sit Down Bagel Shop in the Charlotte Region. Toasting is not necessary! Staff/Crew are incredibly friendly, efficient and polite. I can promise you, you won't get strange looks from staff when you ask for "Scrambled Soft, Everything Bagel - Salt, Butter, Pepper & Ketchup" - Thank You! Great selection of Coffee and Coffee Drinks; - Excellent set up with just the right amount of space to sit down and relax. Staff are efficient and keep things moving right along. Limited "Bottle Necking" - which is a relief. Nevertheless, this place can get very busy. Impressed with the wide assortment of cookies that are sold in the front. Owners are pleasant guys from Massapequa, Long Island. They "Insisted" that I try the Macaroni Salad; - Yes, it was fantastic. We are definitely returning! I heard this place has the same owners as Rock Hill Bagels &Deli, which we love, so we decided to check it out. I got the salmon lox on an Asiago bagel ($11). The bagel just came out of the oven and was excellent. I have to say the Rock Hill location puts more salmon vs cream cheese on this bagel and more capers. This bagel was mostly cream cheese. I also bought bagels to go. You can buy each individually for $1.50 or 6 for $8. I got 6 and selected 2 blueberry, 2 French toast, and 2 cinnamon sugar bagels. The cinnamon sugar bagel gets all over your hands so not the best for the car. The blueberry bagel was excellent. They have several salads available, muffins and croissants. We had the bonus of running into 2 friends while we were there that like this place too ! This place is pricey but good. I prefer the Rock Hill location though. read more

I dined in thirty minutes before close and they were nonstop busy up until the very last minute! The ambiance is typical of a deli. The tables were cleaned regularly. I customized my turkey sandwich. Tried Tega Cay Deli today for the first time. Right off the thing that stands out is the service and also how busy this deli is! And love that they have options for baked goods and salads + sandwiches! Ok to the food - incredible value- the sandwiches are HUGE. We ordered an Italian and an American- I really appreciated that they didn't mind that I switched American for cheddar cheese- the service was amazing! We also tried the potato salad, cookies, and crumb cake. We will definitely be back another day for bagels because they looked excellent as well! Amazing energy as soon as you walk in! I could instantly detect who was in charge and she had a great relationship with her employees. I even overheard her asking if one was okay privately and I found it really sweet and special. It's small in there so if you're wanting to sit down i'd try to plan for good weather to sit outside! This place has got many positive reviews for the selection & good quality. The ordering, pay process & food delivery not so much. When you walk in you see a sign that says 'order here' but if you go to that line, you will miss someone who will take you order over the counter. When you place your order, they take your ticket & then you go to a different line to pay. They tell you go sit down & they will bring your food. I had a cinnamon & raisin bagel with lox & cream cheese which was real good. While I'm sitting there I see multiple people come in that experience the same confusion I did when ordering & paying. The owner is from Long Island. Former New Yorkers who became pandemic refugees in Charlotte (because Banking, Finance, and Fintech jobs), swear that this is the best place to get bagels in the Charlotte area. I wouldn't know because a bagel is just a bagel to me. I'm not that discerning when it comes to bagels. The Asiago was a hit. The Everything Bagel was a miss because way too salty. Come early because they close at 11 a.m. I didn't appreciate my "Yankee" friends waking me up just to go to South Carolina for a bagel. Tega Cay is a suburb of Charlotte but in SC. Upon entering we were met with a display case of yummy pastries. I am a sucker for croissants and they looked beautiful. It had a neighborhood atmosphere in the sense it felt lively, friendly and that most people knew each other. It is an untouchable aspect not found in quickly growing areas. We were immediately greeted and told they'd be with us in just a moment. Quick order and came out fast warm and delicious. Got the egg, bacon, cheese croissant. Yum! Another standout, the cashier inquired if my son needed a cup with a lid (yes!), the food runner took time to get an extra plate when saw us sharing and another person just chatted with my son.
