What a beautiful, updated and well maintained gym! I moved from from Sayville to Bay Shore, and was struggling to find a new gym. I had settled for about 5 months at a gym that was close by, but it was dated and not well maintained. The new year was coming up, and I was unhappy at my old gym. Through a mutual friend, I saw he was going to FitLife in East Islip, so I decided to check it out. I was able to try a free 7 day trial, which is always great to have prior to joining. I have now signed up, and it's great as it's month to month, and you're not locked into a contract. The gym is big, and in the main area its open & airy. There are a ton of benches and machines, as well as a ton of free weights. I never feel like I am waiting for what I'm trying to workout. The staff is super friendly, there are always workers walking around and cleaning throughout the day, they keep it really clean. They just updated the locker rooms and are currently installing saunas. That's a huge plus having sauna access. The atmosphere is great, and you can tell everyone is there to better themselves which keeps me motivated. I'm really happy I made the switch over to the gym, and the monthly membership free is more than reasonable. read more

I've been a member of this gym for over 5 years, and until recently, I always considered it a clean, welcoming, and respectful environment where people could work out in peace and be able to reach my goals. Unfortunately, my recent interaction with the fitness director, William (Will), completely changed that experience for me. In front of my friend who recently joined the gym and asked me how to properly use the equipment and in front other members, I was aggressively accused of training people at the gym. When I explained that I do not train clients there and that my social media does not advertise personal training services, I was repeatedly met with comments like "I'm not stupid" and claims that he "sees everything" on my Instagram. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that manager Justin witnessed the entire interaction and stood back without stepping in or attempting to de-escalate the situation. Instead of feeling supported as a long-time member, I felt publicly embarrassed, singled out, and harassed. After over 5 years of loyalty to this gym, I never expected to be approached and spoken to in such an unprofessional and confrontational manner. A respectful private conversation would have been far more appropriate than being challenged publicly in front of others. I still appreciate many aspects of this gym, but this experience seriously changed my perception of the environment and management. I hope situations like this are handled with more professionalism, discretion, and respect moving forward. read more

I am so unbelievably uncomfortable and disgusted by what the females wear to this gym. I have been a member of this gym for 4 years and it has only gotten worse. some of these women look naked practically. This gym needs to enforce a stricter dress code. I moved out of NY to Delaware and I was told to cancel my membership to come in. We'll I said I was no longer on Long Island. Then I was told to email them with my membership account and that I want to cancel. I sent 2 emails and no response from them. Poor customer service. read more

Careful when you ask them to put your membership on a pause, because they still charge you. Unprofessional way of doing things at this gym. Lack of communication , lack of empathy. Called them and the guy on the phone kept breathing heavily into the receiver every time I tried to explain why I was being charged when my membership was on a hold. read more

I joined the gym 3 years ago a 57 year old women who weighed 240 lbs with bad knees and hips. The staff made me feel welcome and I started working with Derina Wilson one of the trainers. She saved my life and had endless patience and knowledge of how to get me to a healthy lifestyle. It was hard at first but Derina never gave up on me and today I hit my goal weight of 125 lbs and even more important all my medical labs are normal and healthy. Now I look foward to going to the gym and enjoying all of the classes, equipment and especially the new SAUNA. All of the staff was so encouraging with every goal met. This gym is unlike anything I've found on the island. It's very clean, new equipment with multiples of the same machine so I'm never waiting too long for one to open up and super friendly. I've been coming here for 2 months now and it's been amazing. I highly recommend checking it out and signing up for their free trial. Justin was such a huge help in signing me up and telling me about the gym culture and classes offered. He really helped me feel at home in this new space. This is a home away from home. The entire staff is friendly and actually cares about you when you walk in the door. The best thing--you can join up but if you need to cancel, they are so kind and understanding. They will give you a six month time period to put your account on hold if that will help. No hassle-- just kindness. The gym itself is reasonably priced and clean. They are doing everything possible during this COVID time to help their members. When my husband and I joined, they gave us some free personal training for a bit. Both of us had great experiences and it helped so much. I cannot say enough great things about this gym. Join. First time visiting this gym from out of town and the workers were extremely friendly and helpful in setting up a week trial for me. The new owners of this place have really turned it around from what i heard it used to be, this gym literally has everything you need to get a phenomenal workout with brand new equipment and then some with a yoga area and boxing area.
