They also offer day and week passes if you are visiting the area, along with regular memberships and personal training. I have been working out at this location for quite a while and have always enjoyed it. Good equipment, good atmosphere, and good people. Definitely one of the better gyms in Englewood.

This box was about a 40 minute drive but I liked the work outs that were posted so I chose this one. The first day Adam really broke down the snatch and revealed a ton of problems in my form. He gave me some mobility things to work on and then we had a pretty fun but tough workout. I've been doing crossfit for about 2 years now and thought I was doing stuff correctly. In 2 days Adam has helped me more than I could've had imagined. I have a LOT to take home and even more to work on. I appreciated his attention to detail and really how he picked me apart it was a huge learning curve for me. Would recommend this place to anybody looking for a good workout and a coach that truly knows what he is doing. After I got a replacement card, I went in to the gym to give them my new payment information. As it turns out, I began getting double charged because the payment was tied to my bank account as opposed to my card number itself. After realizing what was happening with my payment, I went in to the front desk at the gym and kindly asked them to stop double charging and to reimburse the months they charged me twice for. I was told they would happily stop double charging and credit me for the couple months I had gotten billed twice. A month later I realized nothing had changed. I went back in and had the same conversation. Two months later nothing had changed. The next month I called and asked to cancel my membership to avoid this consistent hassle and negligence. They asked if anything could change my mind, I told them no, and was told my membership would be cancelled. This month I was charged THREE times. After cancelling my membership. This place is a complete scam and honestly a very poorly equipped gym.

Next, she specializes in what I like to call "charmful armfuls". That's not to say if you want to do a marathon or climb a mountain, she won't whip your average butt into warrior shape. But if you are one of those gals that has struggled with being overweight - even just 10-20 lbs - this is the trainer for you. She's lived it herself, which makes a big difference in her approach. I've never felt intimidated, uncomfortable or self-conscious working with Joanne. This industry is full of people who are totally "full of themselves" and, IMO, not terribly bright. That couldn't be less true about Joanne. Imagine a trainer with an MBA - so she's smart - and yet she opted out to do this kind of work and her entire focus is YOU. She'll provide you with a diet plan tailored to your likes/dislikes (I despise onions and salmon, for example), pair you up with a "workout buddy" (so you can save $ on the cost of training), even bring you samples of protein powders, supplements, etc. so you can try them out before you buy something. And NO - she doesn't sell any of that stuff, so she's not pushing products on you so she can make a commission. Location of the studio is good - and it's bigger than the last place she was at, which was oddly-shaped/felt cramped and didn't have any parking. That was probably my biggest "complaint" - no place to park. The new studio has a lot of parking (in the back, if not in front) so I'm a happy camper now!

After two previous knee surgeries, one major back surgery and various broken bones. I've been through my share of Physical Therapy facilities. Fitness Quest is far from one of the largest but what they lack in size, is made up with a very caring and knowledgeable staff. Over the past year I had gotten lax about regularly doing stretches and exercises, so the pain returned and was being stubborn despite stretching/exercising. So I needed to fine-tune my exercise routine. I reached out to Fitness Quest via their website to set up a consultation, but never got a response. I called the phone number for the Punta Gorda clinic and was informed that I'd first need to have my physician fax them a prescription for PT. I did so, and informed Fitness Quest (again via their website). Again no response, so I called the Punta Gorda clinic and asked if they'd received my fax. It turns out they did, but since I wasn't in their system they had discarded it. Fortunately it was still in their trash can, so they retrieved it and got me into their system and set up an appointment. The next day I had a very informative and productive consultation with Jason. I'd give them 5 stars if not for the initial communication difficulties, which might reflect some kind of disconnect between the "central office" and the various local clinics.

I find Jason and his staff friendly, knowledgeable and I really liked their approach combining stretching and strengthen exercises to get the range of motion back in my knee. At no point in my treatment did I ever feel it was too aggressive, which I cannot say about other PT organizations. I was extremely happy with Fitness Quest, and would highly recommend them to anyone.
