My favorite place to throw a birthday party. I love how pin chasers handles everything. I've now hosted both sons birthdays here and they've gone pretty much without a hitch. It's so easy that we literally showed up two minutes before the birthday party started with no problems. You get to choose the theme and they supply everything, themed table covers themed plates, themed balloons, themed goodie bags! My son chose Ghostbusters, which I thought would be difficult for them to find, but they found a bunch of things. My older son chose Fortnite and that one was more mainstream, so I wasn't surprised that they did a good job. We got the package that came with 2 1/2 hours of bowling, $20 on game cards for all the kids, two large cheese pizzas (we added a third cheese pizza which was the right move since we had 15 kids), goodie bags and unlimited drinks for the kids. It is 6 kids per lane so with 15 kids we had three lanes. The only thing they don't supply is cake, which is so easy so we got a cookie cake and brought it. They even had Ghostbusters theme cake plates! I thought 2 1/2 hours was a bit ambitious for five-year-olds, but we use the entire time. They bowled for an hour then played arcade games for 30 minutes, then ate pizza, then ate cake, and then finished up their arcade cards/bowled a bit more. It was perfect. We started at 3 PM because they have cyber bowling with the lights off and colored lights flashing until four and then regular bowling from there on out. They have a designated party attendant that is constantly there to make sure the party is going well. She was fantastic. Having a birthday party here is so easy. It's a no-brainer. The lady at the front desk was probably high. She asked for my email like 3 times and she definitely put in my email wrong because I signed up for the family fun pass and never got an email with the confirmation. The bathrooms are dirty and gross. The food takes forever to come out. I ordered a pizza for round 1 and it didn't come until almost the end of the game and there was 3 of us bowling. The pizza was gross - 2/10. Tasted like a store brand name frozen pizza at the grocery store. I've honestly had frozen pizzas better than theirs. I also tried to call the place and confirm that we are on the family fun list but they routed me to a voicemail. I emailed their corporate email a few days ago with 0 reply. This established is poorly run. I wish I never got the family fun card because I don't want to come back. read more

I haven't been to Pin Chasers since the 90's, WOW . This place is tons of fun, smells good and is well lit. The pizza is good and beer is cold. Avoid going here; the way they treat children and nickel and dime business practices are disgusting. We took a field trip for our summer camp, reserved 4 lanes for 26 children a month prior. We show up and are told the reservation was not going to be honored, the money ($40) we paid to reserve the lanes was not a deposit and would not be refunded even after the lanes were denied. We were told paying to reserve the lanes is a fee, even though we paid it doesn't guarantee the lanes will be available. Then they told us to come back 3 1/2 hours later and they may be able to accommodate us. After explaining we can't just bring a field trip back and forth to school while pleading with them they managed to cram 21 of our 26 kids on 3 lanes. Some kids were not able to bowl because of these decisions/policies. They also charge $2 a card just to buy game time at the arcade, and the prices to play were a bit steep. Overall not only was it a disappointment for the children, their failure to honor paid reservations was a reflection on our staff. Disappointment isn't a strong enough word. read more

Why 4? Great lanes, fun times, drinks and food w/ friends and family. Bonus arcade room kept everyone entertained. Stopped in with 8+ of us during a cold December in Tampa and was not disappointed. Nothing like warming up with throwing some bowling balls down the lanes, laughing about turning the bumpers on for adults and eating fried food to bring back memories of the past and give some to our new attendees. Once the kids saw the game room, we didn't see them for a while though... Nothing bad to say about the place at all except for maybe the reservation stuff (I had no idea they took them as we just walked in) but they were able to accommodate us anyway. Additionally it did take a little while when we had a stuck ball to be "unstuck" but when we brought it up to the front desk they added another 30 minutes to our time anyway. Had a great time at Pin Chasers with 5 friends over the weekend. Friends reserved the lane ahead of time, ordered some food and drinks, and bowled for about 2 hours. The staff had to clear pins out of the gutter twice for us, and they were friendly and nice about it! I don't eat fried food often but I had one bite of a corn dog (yummmmm) and unfortunately didn't taste the onion rings until they'd gone cold. I was surprised by how many menu items there were, and I appreciated that there was more than just typical fried fare. I ate before just in case, but would have been totally fine eating there! read more

Came here for a date night and the staff failed to let us know that a league was going on at the same time so we didn't get a lane as we called in for. My daughters school had their 5th grade field trip here today and I chaperoned. Pin Chasers did an amazing job with having the day organized. When we arrived, they had the lanes ready for us even with 6 and 8 pound balls available at the lanes. The monitors were ready for names to be added and they decided to just let the kids bowl in the shoes they were wearing which helped a lot since it was pretty hectic with 120 many students! They even had pizza ready shortly after bowling began and called my lane for the kiddos to get their slice. Made for a great day and great memories. Students had a blast. read more

It has been a hot minute since I've been bowling and I can't believe I waited so long. What a great time! I found a Groupon deal that I could not pass up. Two hours of bowling for up to 6 people, a free picture of beer, all for $29. Sign me up. We arrived around 4 p.m. and it was fairly empty that's okay, got her shoes, our ball and pitcher of beer and began bowling. I forgot how bad I was but it was tons of fun. There is a small arcade that can be enjoyed after your game. Restrooms are nice and clean as well as the whole facility. I absolutely can't wait to return with my friends and family. read more

As someone who has not gone bowling in probably a good 10 years, My opinion of bowling alleys was back in the day when they were old, somewhat dingy, poorly lit. To my surprise, Pin chasers was everything but! We randomly decided on a Friday night around 8:30ish that we wanted to go bowling (daring,right?). We showed up and the bowling alley was PACKED, and we were put on a wait list of "about an hour" till we got our lane. However, this is no problem in this bowling alley! They have a full bar where you can get drinks while you wait, snack stands, a full arcade, and multiple pool tables to entertain while you wait for your lane to open! My boyfriend had been here in the past, and said it had all been updated. The arcade area and bar area are all new with nice floors, and lighting, and a fun family friendly vibe! They have plenty of lanes as well, so our wait for our game ended up only being about 30 minutes. We did not try the food, but the drinks were great and they had many drink options to choose from! The bartender was super helpful and friendly, as well as the young man working the front check in desk. If you're looking for a fun date night, or a family friendly environment to get your kids out of the house for a bit, I highly recommend stopping in here! We had to move my sons 7th birthday party here yesterday since the weather was inclement. I can not believe how welcoming and accommodating this location was to our party. They reserved 4 lanes for us, and hung our birthday sign. Lynn was wonderful and stuffed all of my goodie bags last minute. The manager, engineer / custodian hung the birthday sign over the lanes, the show announced my sons birthday 4 times throughout our time. The black light was a huge hit and helped make our table decor look superb. The music was high energy and so fun. The front desk person really helped us out too. Not a great bowling alley. The balls kept getting stuck, not returning. The pins also kept getting stuck and the reset button wouldn't work so we constantly had to wait for someone to come assist. It took us 2.5 hours to bowl one game with all of the issues we got our money back for the other two games we had already paid for. Won't go back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First time I come here in 2 years and I won't ever come back. I arrive with a party of 6 on a Friday night at 7:30pm and we are told by cashier if we don't have a reservation it's a 40min- 1hr wait. There were 3 people on the list ahead of us and they would call our names over loudspeaker when lane was ready. We figured it was ok since we were hungry and would order some food in the meantime. We got our food (about the only good thing) and I asked my teenage son to get me an extra straw. He goes over to area where you order food and nobody is there and he sees cook come from the back (with beer in hand) and says excuse me twice. The man doesn't hear him (or chose to ignore him) so my son gets closer and says excuse me again and asks where he can get a straw from and his reply is "get out of here, you can't be behind here". They have no signs anywhere stating you aren't allowed to go up to counter, just one of those line separator things in front that's not completely closing off the front of counter. My husband went to confront the beer drinking cook and he disappeared. He's lucky because my husband would've went off on that jerk drinking on the clock. You don't talk like that to customers much less a kid. So 1.5 hours passes and we go to ask an estimate of how much longer it will be before they call us and all the cashier says is there are 3 people in front of us and she will start calling them soon. Meanwhile we watch as people leave and lanes are empty and yet no one is called but cashier is selling lanes to people in line. I understand that people have reservations but at some point walk ins should be worked in. 2 hours passes and nothing. I was infuriated at that point. Another family who had been waiting went to complain to her and her reply is "I recommend you make a reservation. " My problem is you (as the employee) know it's Friday night and I'm sure you knew we weren't going to be able to get a lane without a reservation. So why didn't you advise us when we first arrived that without a reservation it was very unlikely to get a lane! It's called customer service people! We would've left immediately. I've been to many bowling lanes on weekend nights in my life and NEVER had to wait that long, much less end up leaving because customer service is TRASH! Will never go back. read more

Pin Chasers Veterans is a solid spot for bowling. I love coming here with big groups for some wholesome and competitive fun. I've been here many times, and I've never had a bad experience. This is a very popular spot, so come early for lanes or be prepared to wait. I've used the reservation tool on their website twice, but only one time did it ever go through. They shut down half of the bowling alley on league nights, so call ahead to check for those days because it will affect lane availability. The food service here is good. You get standard American fare here, and it gets delivered to your lane in a timely manner. You can rent shoes here, and socks are free. They have bumpers and ramps for younger bowlers. You might have to hunt down your preferred house balls (they have different weights and finger hole sizes) but Pin Chasers has everything you need for a fun night out. The equipment is old here and not updated. Our lane kept freezing a lot during our 2 hour bowling session, but there are a lot of employees who come around for help. They are very friendly and fast workers. I love coming to Pin Chasers, even though it's a bit of a drive from my house. Bowling here is definitely worthwhile for fun with friends and family! read more

Nice venue, but our lane broke down THREE times during the first hour. Not only did this kink our vibe, but it took a good amount of time to get fixed. One time we had to page them, they sent someone, and we still had to go to the counter to let them know the person hadn't fixed it. We've never encountered any issues while bowling-- much less three. I asked to reserve a lane and they told me go online. I told them it was down and showed them. They told me there was nothing they could do. (All they had to do was write my name down on the list) my other Hispanic friend asked as well and they wouldn't help. But then My white friend talks with them and they give him 2 lanes and no issues. Great place if you're not a minority. The servers were good and very polite. I've been coming to Pin Chasers for YEARS! I've had birthday parties, scout parties and even attended New Years Eve twice. The new $10 reservation fee is what really aggravates me now! I have no problem paying the $10 to make a reservation, but to not apply that fee to my bowling is ridiculous! I can understand non refundable if a no show, but to charge me to make a reservation is ludicrous! You can't even show up on the weekend without a reservation, I could only imagine how much extra $ they are bringing in at $10 per reservation. I am writing this review at 11pm leaving pin chasers. We came for the Tuesday night special, which is unlimited bowling and pizza. We have been here for 2 hours and have been giving zero pizza even though we were one of the first people to get a lane. While others around us were served, we kept being told "oh it coming" but it never did. We went up to the front desk twice and they said that they didn't have any. They had no problem taking my money but didn't care to provide the service that was offered. My boyfriend and I like to frequent this place whenever money permits and whenever a special occasion arises since its local for us and the facility is nice and clean. Workers and friendly and informative about specials and the best deal for our money. I'm not very good at bowling, but even I have a good time. They have a decent snacks area and apparently an expanded menu that includes salad, pizza, and sandwiches as well as drinks. Personally, if I got food here I'd stick with sandwiches or pizza since salad is not the most sport friendly. However, it's nice to know that they have a healthier option. Boyfriend loves getting cheese fries and beer. There's plenty of bowling balls to choose from (I have to get the 8 pound balls since I'm a weakling). Perfect place to go for a date night if you want to be more active than just sitting and watching a movie. read more

We didn't have the best experience. I feel weekends could be managed better. We came for a birthday party and were placed next to league players who take their Sunday afternoons a little too seriously. Grumpy, old, crotchety mean people, who clearly don't enjoy bowling being a family affair shouldn't be where you place a birthday party beside. We had 5 boys, ages 8, 9, & 10. We educated them on bowling etiquette, but obviously they are still children. We also continuously coached the boys during their game as to be respectful of spacing, and they were behaving well, but the leaguers still had major attitudes, continued to make comments and managed to suck the fun right out of the party. Not only was the league ridiculous but the lanes kept malfunctioning, service was slow, light weight balls were scarce, and food took forever. Clearly the lanes were over booked. We made the best of the situation for the kids, but overall, not a very happy birthday. read more

Writing this review from the sticky chairs in the bowling alley currently. We had booked a lane online for 3:30. We got there 15 minutes early and thank god we did. They didn't have our reservation in their system even though my boyfriend was charged the $10 fee to book the lane?? It took 10 minutes to even figure it out with the employees because they needed to see the email even though my bf was showing them his bank getting charged the $10 from this location. Then on top of that it's $18 dollars per person to bowl. The employees were rude and snarky with us the whole time as if it was our fault they didn't have our reservation. Then after about 20 minutes of bowling our sensor broke and was giving us no points and the lights of our lane turned off. A maintenance man with a cigarette in his ear came over to fix it. He was the only nice employee we interacted with, but it did take a good while (20-30 minutes) for our lane to open back up. For almost 90 dollars for a two hour bowl session (that wasn't even a full 2 hours) and rude employees, I would save your money and spend it literally anywhere else. The actual facility has potential but the way it's run and the attitudes of the employees need a serious check. 0/10 I am never coming back. Update : We complained to one of the workers at the front and got a full refund, which we do appreciate. Although we won't get the $10 booking fee back I am glad they refunded us for the bowling time. read more

Me and my family wanted to go bowling for a fun night out. We called to get some information and the gentlemen said "I strongly advise you to go online and make a reservation". We made a reservation for 2 lanes which was $20 ($10 per lane). The site did not have prices only $10 to reserve a lane. I thought this would apply to the price of bowling but once we arrived we were told the $20 is the price to reserve 2 lanes only. The charge to bowl is separate. When I made the reservation I didn't realize they charged a reservation fee. I think this is ridiculous! We had fun anyway. read more
