A great gym, with a great location, sitting on Lake Mission Viejo. It's not huge like most of the other gyms around. Between having the right amount equipment, and the staff, you get a great experience. The staff is great. Especially Karen. She is always so inviting, and easy to talk to you. Terrible service. I canceled in June 2025 and was told it would be taken care of. We are now at the end of May 2026 and I received and email that I owe $200 in late fees because it in fact was not "taken care of". My reason for canceling was due to an emergency move to a new state and I unfortunately trusted that they would do their job. I would not recommend this gym. read more

This gym is hands downs the place you need to be at to workout it's super clean from machines to the beautiful deck looking out to the lake! Emiliano the opener is always opening on time and super friendly when I need help at the front! Karen at front desk is so helpful and always trying to look out for you! Highly recommend this neighborhood gym versus the larger mainstream gyms that are overcrowded with three high schools kids hanging out at the same time Good luck finding machine with a kid not on his cell phone. Can it be more cleaner , def yes but find it really annoying when the staff starts cleaning with Clorox right next to where I'm working out . Don't sign up for personal training!!! I signed up for personal training and paid $349 twice because I wasn't aware that there was a two month minimum. I still had some sessions left when I moved away and I assumed that they would stop charging me, but since that time I have been charged $349 4-5 times. I can see how people that don't check their bills carefully could just go ahead and pay this. This has cost me a lot of stress. read more

They have a good variety of equipment for whether you were doing weight training or cardio. When I started at Fitness19 I wanted a trainer. They hooked me up with Jason. He is wonderful. During our training I had hurt my knee(not at the gym). I went to my training with the knee really bothering me and Jason knew just what to do. He adjusted my schedule to work with the restrictions of my knee while it was healing. Had me do some stretching that did not hurt but absolutely helped. He is the best trainer I have ever had. Absolutely worth it. Thank you Jason!! read more

Fitness 19 is a clean gym with friendly staff that greets you when you come in. My only concern is the staff needs to monitor the crowd and enforce some etiquette by ppl just sitting on machines. Several instances where ppl are just on their phones and not utilizing the equipment. read more

I have been a member of fitness 19 for a few years and both their Oceanside and Chino location. They have pretty great prices and a gym that's just the right size for me. It never gets too crowded and the staff is always friendly. I am moving to the city next door and was glad to see there was a location not too far away it's a bit further than I'd like to drive, but I've always had great experiences at Fitness 19. I cancelled my personal training and they are still billing me and have told me they have no record that I cancelled my personal training.

Really friendly and even though it's a franchise, it's managed locally so it feels like a small community. I only started coming here, so I'll have to update as I get to use more equipment or figure out the crowd. Hydromassage is so fun and the water/bed is heated. I'm not going to ever use the tanning machine bc of cancer reasons, but it looks nice and is isolated for people who are into that and it's included with the elite membership. There's lockers out in the gym area so you can bring your own locks. There's also going to be a brand new back room that's being updated for functional fitness that used to be like an area for kids. I hope there's more weekend classes added soon, but there's a few during the weekdays that work with a "general work" schedule. Kasein is a friendly manager, and Michael is super helpful with info about the fitness programming. I know it's a business so talking about costs/money/fees can be weird if you're on a specific budget, etc , but it's just part of any membership process for all gyms and they answered all my questions upfront about those details. Jordan just started as a trainer here and is really knowledgeable about the movement systems - and this is coming from a certified personal trainer and physical therapist myself so I'm glad I have some sessions lined up with him. Haven't checked out the "women's lifting" class with a different trainer so I'm not sure about that though bc lifting is lifting regardless of gender. Some covid specifics: Hand sanitizer is available and temperature is checked when you scan in. Cardio equipment is blocked off every other. So far, it seems like people wipe down their benches & and cardio equipment but generally not the bars or db as much. You'd hope everybody is actually sanitizing their hands before touching anything inside though. Masks are required but you can pull it down when you're distanced from people or need a breath (like doing cardio), but I've also seen people have their mask down for a while while just lifting. There's an outdoor area you can bring whatever equipment you want to outside. No mask is required outside and you get a lake view. I'd like to see people clean more, but overall, I'm not concerned about catching covid here but I don't feel 100% comfortable (even some grocery stores people are fools though and I'm not 100% down with that either). Probably just in general being around people in the gym can be gross and the general public can have poor manners & hygiene practices. read more

He is very knowledgeable, easy-going, and did a excellent job explaining how to do each exercise correctly to get the most out of my workouts and avoid injuries. The gym is clean and well-maintained. So my main reason for giving this place 3 STARS is because I firmly believe politics should be left out of gyms and other places of business. However, every single time I come into this Fitness 19, more than half of the TVs are fixated on Fox "News". Regardless of my own political views, I would have given 3 Stars if CNN or MSNBC was glued to the screens. read more

Excellent gym. I tend to use a wide variety of equipment, so I'm often disappointed by the lack of equipment or sophistication of equipment in one area or another. But, this gym really has it all. State-of-the-art cardio equipment, treadmills, rowers, cables, kettlebells, full racks, dumbbells, you name it. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a good range of members--everything from experienced athletes to competent beginners. The gym is spacious enough to accommodate them all. The overall vibe is very welcoming and supportive. And of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the picturesque setting. The lake view from the patio is truly breathtaking. Finishing up workouts there is one of the highlights of my day. read more
