It's hard to rate this fitness club because there are so many different components under the one name. There's like a golf training/shop(?)... There's physical therapy... There's Pilates... And there's hot yoga. They offered a week for you to try the gym and the amenities, which was very generous. It's super close to my house so I was really hoping I would absolutely love everything about this gym since I already do Pilates and hot yoga elsewhere, but was really looking to add in weightlifting to my routine. I took a Pilates class with Mia... She was excellent! Very similar to what I am used to... Great instruction, but also perfectly challenging. I would go back and take her class in a heartbeat. I may even pay for add-ins to take her classes if the timing works out for me. The hot yoga class that I took was definitely hot, which I love! It was an extremely different style, that I am totally not used to so it was nice to experience it complementary... But I don't know that I go back. The instructor was fabulous and you can tell. She knew what she was doing and had a great following... I just don't know if that style is for me. Now for the gym - it's very, very VERY outdated - and pretty small. Most of the equipment seems like it's 20 years old or more. They keep the gym very clean- it was just small, kinda dark, and outdated. Front desk, staff and everyone I spoke to was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. I would rate the gym portion of three and the rest of the amenities. I've experienced a five... That is the reason for my four-star rating. If the gym was nicer, I probably would've signed up for the top-tier membership, since that's the reason I wanted to check it out in the first place. read more

As an update to my previous Fitness Elite review (2/24)- I'm still thrilled to be a member- weights/machines, personal training with Vivien Hjort, Pilates and now great Yoga classes (dharmayogahouse.com) all in one place. Since the non heated yoga classes were added, I've tried several very creative, inspiring classes for all levels. Yin+Reiki+Sound (Wendy Skinner), Meditation + Sound (Dylan Churchill) and Breathwork (Nicole Ferro)- All wonderful and there are more non-heated classes yet to try. This is a CLEAN, friendly, safe gym with great pricing. I'm a fan. read more

I LOVE THIS GYM. I wanted something close to home, family owned, and a place where the gym goers actually wanted to workout and better themselves. Fitness Elite is perfect! I love the gym as I am a free weight gal. They have extremely nice equipment and are extremely clean which I LOVE. Fitness Elite offers other classes such as Pilates and hot yoga. They also have personal trainers. When I initially went at 7AM on a Saturday I was stunned to see one of the trainers, Ana, have client after client which was amazing to see. Although I've been a member of LA Fitness for many years now (and still go there), I joined Fitness Elite a year ago for convenience, as it's just a few minutes from my house. Positives: Never crowded in gym area (facility specializes in Pilates and yoga), so the equipment is always readily available. Very clean men's restroom and a new water filtration system. Staff is very friendly and they're always accommodating in changing the music or TV monitors at your request. Negatives: Most of the equipment is very old and not in great condition. It's like stepping back to 1980 when using the machines. They close at 7:00 PM Monday - Thursday, so workout often times has to be cut short, and Friday - Sunday closing time is 2:00 PM... way too early, particularly on a Friday. It's oftentimes nice to get a workout in before weekend begins, but you can't do it here. read more

I've been coming to this gym for eight years and I absolutely love it from the super easy parking lot within minutes from locking my car. I'm already working out. I have tested out every hot yoga studio in southern OC and there is no doubt that Fitness Elite/Beyond Hot Yoga is the best deal out there! There is a great variety of yoga classes and instructors, and the gym access is very unique perk to your yoga membership. Hot yoga is always my favorite, but weight training is a close second so this membership is so ideal! I highly recommend it! read more

I can't say enough about the hot yoga studio and instructors. I have been to many in the area and none is as consistently excellent. They are the absolute best. I have had the pleasure of being introduced to reformer pilates it has truly become tge best experiance phyically and mentally. Trained instructor are helpful, fun and help each individual find their personalized workout. The is clean, very well equipped and user friendly. There is zero itimidation and staff to assist. Other amenities are listed and great offerings of class times. Give this facility 3 months and you will be committed because it becomes personal and friendships established. I used to go to this gym and though the yoga classes were ok, but the professionalism here is absolutely zero. I had to move out of state and when I needed to cancel my membership a month before it actually ended they said they could give me a credit for use at a later time. I told them to just cancel after the actual end of my membership and I would eat the cost of the unused month. They then proceeded to charge me 6 months of membership fees though I canceled my membership and STILL WONT GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!!! WTF I may have to get legal involved now because I can't even get someone to refund me. Insane. And all of the correspondence has been completely idiotic with their staff being rude and telling me i am wrong when I have sent bank statements and everything. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. read more

Their site says nothing about Covid precautions, they didn't contact any of their returning clients about reopening, and charged them without consent. They then had the AUDACITY to try to refer members to collections DURING A PANDEMIC because the bank disputed transactions were confirmed as they did not operate in good faith. I am really happy I found this fitness center. I voiced my concerns about my health on a local Facebook mom group where the owner introduced herself to me and referred me to her gym. The gym is very clean and takes a lot of care following protocol in covid. The front desk girl kaitlyn was so nice to show me around and give me some background on the fitness center. She made me feel really welcome. I've worked out a few times there now and like the times I go, it isn't crowded. I'm looking forward to my fitness journey with fitness elite! read more

This is a review for my trainer Robyn. I started out as a total newbie and her Pilates class and quickly knew that I wanted to higher her as my personal trainer. But I haven't had great luck with trainers before as they did not know what they were doing. For the last five years I have been suffering with chronic back pain, shoulder pain, lat pain and IT band pain. Every morning I'd wake up in excruciating pain. I hired her and have only been working out with her for three weeks and I can't believe that I literally have zero pain!! I've had three sessions a week with her and in each session she's able to pick out exactly what we need to do more of or less of or avoid in order for my body to heal. By choosing the right exercises and working her magic she has literally healed my body in three weeks! I know that sounds crazy but it's true. I couldn't be more grateful. And I never leave yelp reviews but I just wanted everyone to know what a total badass this woman is! read more

I asked to make my account inactivated starting last April due to Covid. According to my doctor, I should not be in an inside gym. Without asking they started charging my credit card in November. I personally had to go to the gym as they would not cancel by phone. I went to the gym January 20th and they had already charged my card for February ( which shows on my credit card as 2/1) . Supposedly after the 15th all cards are charged for the next month and cannot be refunded! Similar to other reviews there is no customer service and will never return to this gym. I suggest to others to find another gym! read more

THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE PLACE AND THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I moved out of state and went in person to cancel my membership... originally called in July 2nd and was told that I was out of luck for that month because they had already charged my card.... I signed up about 3 weeks before covid hit... was NOT informed when the gym had reopened! So I went in and spoke to a person at the front desk who had told me they had made a note to cancel.... and sure enough august roles around and I'm charged again!! $100!! For a gym that has been under construction since before covid.... I went again in person and was informed that the ONLY person who could handle refunds was out for her wedding and that it was MY responsibility to continue to follow up... I had to wait another week before she was back and then coincidentally every time I called she had just "stepped out" and then was told that I didn't go online to cancel my membership and that was the ONLY way to do it.... such bullshit!! It took me forever to finally speak to the general manager/owner who was rude and unhelpful but promised me a refund check.... mind you I'm in the middle of MOVING OUT OF STATE and am having to deal with this crap.... it has since been 2 months and I have not received my refund check... nor am I getting any response to the phone calls and emails I have sent to the GENERAL MANAGER!!!! I have worked in the service industry for 20 years and am VERY understanding when it comes to companies that may have issues in this department but this goes ABOVE AND BEYOND!! This is the first bad review I have ever given and I feel it is completely necessary to let others know before they think about committing to this place!! I also happen to know a few ex employees who have told me that management is absolutely poor and wish I would have checked with them before signing up!
