After a serious medical condition disrupted my life, I wasn't sure if I would ever feel better again. As part of my long term treatment, I was encouraged to meet with Amanda Swanson, one of the many fabulous personal trainers at FitEvo Monticello. I told her upfront what I was dealing with and she set out goal meetings that went above and beyond weight loss. She understands and respects who I am as a whole person and has worked with me to craft a long term/lifetime health goal for me. One month into training with me, she started to work with me more on my nutrition which has led to THE BEST experience of changing to a whole food plant based diet. Amanda is always well researched in her recommendations. She honestly cares and wants to always learn more. Beyond the physical training and coaching, she has also encouraged me to find my courage again. I'm not nervous to go to FitEvo...the staff there has this unspoken and, quite frankly, beautiful approach to making everyone feel welcome. I joined Fitness Evolution Monticello March of 2017 at 425lbs. I was very nervous about joining a gym but it was the best thing I did. The staff, class instructors and people that attend the gym are friendly, encouraging and supportive. I started my journey by taking 5 classes a week some days I did two classes in the row. The class instructors truly care and if you ever have questions they always answer full of happiness and knowledge. After 8 months in classes and losing 75+ lbs, I branched out to the weight room and still do classes on and off. If you're looking for a new gym I recommend Fitness Evolution Monticello no matter what your fitness goal and the level is you'll find it here. By far the friendliest gym! When I started going to Fitness Evolution three years ago, it was the friendly staff and laid back atmosphere that sold me on joining. This gym is perfect for those just starting out on their exercise journey to those with serious exercise goals! There is so much to offer for the amazing price including free goal assessment with a personal trainer, yoga studio and classes, pool, general fitness classes and all the equipment. My favorite is the boxing club for all levels of fitness (does cost extra). The members and coaches of the boxing club are welcoming and it's always a great workout. This is probably the best gym I have been to. Not because of the equipment, space, or programs (which are still nice) but because of the staff. They are some of the most friendly gym staff I have encountered. I am active military stationed in DC. My regular gym is terrible. The staff members are mean and rude. I come to Fitness Evolution when I am home on leave and the staff are exceptionally courteous and remember my name. Lyssa, the manager, found out I was a military member and refused to let me pay for the membership. This will always be my gym when I am home. read more

Fitness Evolution is definitely my favorite gym coming back home from college for the breaks. They just remodeled the entire inside and it was very inviting! They have great racquetball courts, pool & sauna , and a lot of brand new equipment since the remodel. This gym for sure has much more to offer than most! read more

This gym is great. Everything for anybody, including boxing. Top flight program, no sparring, certified coach. Good community of trainers and members, as well. I recommend this gym to anybody ready to work, especially the boxing program! read more
