After a visit to my home Avery and Christian determined that my old 17 year old Treadmill was beyond repair (it was actually smoking). They told me about several options with different price points. When I went in the store Maythew was very knowledgeable and helped me decide on another treadmill that suited my needs. They did not have it in stock, he ordered the one I wanted and it arrived faster than expected. I spoke with the owner as I was leaving and he thanked me for my purchase and as it turned out was the same as the one he had in his home. Avery and Christian came to remove the old one, installed the new one quickly too. Everyone was so nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. I could not be happier with my treadmill or the service. Scott was very helpful and timely in responding to my email requests for more information about a functional trainer, but at the end of the day, their website says that they price match and in fact they don't. I sent a screen capture from a competitor showing a price that was $85 less than what FitnessZone was quoting and asked if they would match that price. The email from Scott said, "No. We have money invested in inventory to be able to fill orders faster. The on line price is as low as we can go. Sorry." I ended up buying the machine from the other vendor for $200 lower (shipping included) than Scott said he could go despite FitnessZone's "Price Match" banner on their website. read more

I ordered a FTX Functional Trainer online. Kyle one of the owners was very helpful answering all of my questions. When the piece of equipment came through FedEx it came in a large box. Probably one of the easiest pieces of equipment to assemble although due to the weight of it you will need a buddy to help you out. But it's very easy to put together. I ordered cable machine, $3332.00 dollars. Paid in full. I have been trying to contact them for several weeks by email.... no reply back.. on a delivery date. Hate to think that people are using Covid to scam people I know that the covid quarantine and epidemic has a lot of companies struggling,,, except for the home gym equipment companies...I know that covid has made the way we normally due business a little more stressful...and it doesn't help that there are companies that take your money and and return your business choice, with poor customer service. Leaving the customer hanging on, if there going to get the product they bought and payed for.... Sent the company two more emails... hope they reply. $3332.00 is a lot of money for me. Do not give this business your hard-earned money. I called their customer service number to ask a question about one of their bikes. The employee kept cutting me off repeatedly and refused to answer my question. He hung up on me and the call was literally only one minute long. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in my life. I ended up ordering the bike from another vendor and had a much better and smoother experience. I bought a water rower from here...after talking to them...they convinced me about their fantatstic customer service. Rower came...good price...also ordered a hilift kit. Found out I didnt need the hilift kit. Called them about returning it.....then their customer service went from excellent to indigent. Told me I was wasting my time between restock charge and shipping it would cost me more to return it than I would get. I'm glad I didnt have a problem with the rower. Fitness Zone is a great place for new or used exercise equipment. We had a little bit of trouble finding in on my iPhone maps, but figured out that the location is still named by the old store that used to be in its place (Fitness Systems). So if you have any trouble just know that! Scott helped us when we arrived and was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the equipment. He pointed us in the right direction for what we were looking for and gave us great information. He was very friendly and not pushy by any means which is always appreciated. Here is my recent experience with FinessZone.com. First I had left a voicemail verifying whether they actually shipped out of the US, as their website implies. Since it was after hours I didn't expect to receive a call back that day. So I decided to send an email asking for quotes to both overseas and a shipment to California, if overseas was not an option. When I didn't see an email response this morning, I decided to give them a call. I introduced myself to the gentleman who answered the phone. He seemed to have heard my voicemail and quickly said "No" they don't ship to "where ever it was I wanted to ship to", and abruptly hung up the phone. Where was the customer service in that? I was ready to make a purchase. I had other questions and options to try to close the deal. Fitness equipment is not cheap so why turn away a potential customer with bad customer service? read more

I never write online reviews, but I felt like this was warranted to help other shoppers know what kind of business they are dealing with here. My wife and I have been researching studio bikes to add to our new home gym. If you have been doing the same during this pandemic, you know it is next to impossible to find home gym equipment. All manufacturers are struggling to keep up with demand. I came across this online retailer, FitnessZone, and browsing their online equipment and reviews. I did some digging and much to my surprise I saw that the brick and mortar store is based here in Birmingham, AL, just 15 minutes from my in-laws' house where we are visiting for the holiday weekend. I grabbed my wife and down to the store we head. We arrived and were "greeted" by one guy in the store with an extremely grumpy hello. We browsed his 2 rows of floor displays and tried to engage him in a few questions about a specific studio bike he had there on the floor. This guy was absolutely miserable. He offered 1-word responses, and never tried to engage us in any sort of conversation or probe as to how he could help meet our needs as the customer. All the while, with his face mask hanging down not covering his nose. After he told us he had zero inventory to sell in the store, he said, "just go online and order what you want from my site". In utter shock, I asked him what the advantage was in coming into his brick and mortar store. He offered nothing. We left. And I'll never be back to his store or entertain his online retail as an option. We've all heard the case study stories of positive customer service - Nordstrom, Norman Marcus, etc. Well, this guy is the polar opposite. Good luck. read more

I bought a stairmaster gauntlet 8 demo unit online. It shipped in a reasonable amount of time, but they mentioned they're on backorder for any regular units. For reference, this is the kind of machine that takes multiple people to move and requires a large amount of time to put together. Once everything was set up, I powered it up and got lcb com lost error. Apparently they didn't load up any software on the lower control board before shipping it. Now I need to wait another 10+ days before I can get another $160 item to upload the software. For the price it costs, they should just ship a FISP uploader with the product, or at least send it with software on it. I'm frustrated. read more

This is not the first time I've spoken with Tom. Tom's phone manners, to say the least, are atrocious. I am not exaggerating when I say he screams at you and speaks a mile a minute.
