The new roof he put in is leaking and I have photos to prove this. The plywood underneath is soaked and the site is dripping water into the rooms below. This is money that my family has saved for years to be able to do this project. He did a bait and switch on the contract - charging me 10 times what was on the contract. This entire process has been a nightmare that I am still trying to resolve. My goal is to save others from being robbed and conned like I did. I am in the process of submitting all documents to the Southampton Town Licensing Board - to get his license pulled. The entire hearing will be made public. He will also be in the local papers soon, so save yourself the enormous aggrevation, the large sums of money needed for renovations and go with someone with a good reputation. Do your due diligence and learn from my very expensive mistake. He denies all the damage he caused and I have no choice than to proceed with a lawsuit. I now found an honest and reliable contractor to fix the wreck he left.

But unfortunately I never got the estimate this owner claims. I did actually call and I was told "we're working on it and will have the estimate to you within the next week" - this was 2 weeks after the estimate was supposed to be emailed to me. Fortunately I did find wonderful contractors who did actually come to my house twice, once for the initial consultation and once more to double check the ascetics before finalizing the estimate- this other company I ended up hiring and was very happy. The job was $47,000 and this other company did a beautiful job.
