It's alleged that Jeff W. is partial owner, so I know the staff knows their stuff, but having them treat my elderly mother and client so well demonstrates the level these guys play at. 100% better than Larger than Life. This shop is for the "true believers" and "Constant Readers," not just the "Big Bang Theory" popular kids. When you walk in, the shop takes you back to a fantasy store I wish I had as a kid. They have so many of the shirts from the 90's, toys, excellent quality jackets and other vintage stuff. They even have a working floor piano! If vintage swag or old school street wear is your thing, I think this store will have something you'd like. The service was excellent and the owner was excited about his goods and that made the experience even better. I'm always a fan of clothing stores that have a passion for fashion and by the owners style, I'm sure he'll get you right.

So much so that there isn't much room to move around and you literally have to dig to see items. That said, they carry a lot of really awesome brands that you aren't going to find a the big box stores. Bring the kids and shop local!

They didn't have everything on stock that I was looking for, but they still had an extensive collection. Their prices for Pokemon packs were nothing outrageous, and far better than regular scalping prices. I'm also a big fan of their coin pusher machine that has trading cards as prizes. I didn't interact too much with staff but they seemed personable! Will definitely visit for more manga soon!

The attitude they gave in response to my saying id keep my cards was highly unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright deplorable. Walt's is a pretty big hobby shop, with a wide variety of stuff, including RC cars and planes,…read moreplastic models, model rockets, and lots of random supplies for making cool stuff, including paints, balsa, dowels, glues, etc. And as big as it is, there's an even bigger space out back with an RC car track, a crawler track, and even an extra meeting room. That's where Walt's really shines -- long after the posted hours, they open the space to all sorts of local hobby groups. I've been there with a rocket club in the back room, RC cars going on the track, and yet another group up front, meeting in the actual hobby shop part. The staff is super-friendly, and willing to help out and offer suggestions for whatever kind of project you want to take on. If you need hobby stuff, this is a great place to go in the Syracuse area.
