I even once found some cute stem glassware for when I host game/wine nights - they don't look cheap and actually rival other stemware I purchased from West Elm. In short, you can pretty much find anything you need here, on a budget and it's worth checking out if you haven't already. That being said, be prepared for the store to sometimes be extremely low on stock for candy and other snacks. They also randomly close, for no reason it seems. Eg, you show up on Monday at 2PM and they are closed...why? Also, there usually doesn't seem to be much staff, so don't expect to find anyone on the floor to help you. Usually only two, at most, registers are open. I've never had to wait in line forever though, so I'm not complaining.

The personnel here even though they "profiled" me seem moderately casual and did not really show any ill fated work attitudes. These places are the best places to look if you are stopping in for simple things like light bulbs, tuppleware, candles, some candies (stay away from the chocolates), balloons, birthday/holiday/Hallmark type greeting cards etc. Pretty much once you've stepped into one of these stores, like a Chinese buffet, you've been to them all with the exception with a few minute articles.

I have no expectations at all when visiting dollars stores. They seem to have a big turn over in product and customer, so I'm sure it's extremely hard to keep products looking nice. When I visited this store in Crosby, the products were so well organized, the staff was extra friendly, and after purchasing nearly 200 items, a young man that worked there walked by and offered to help be take it to my car. It was a shopping trip that I was dreading because I had to go down every isle and usually stand in line with customers not wanting to wait for me to check out, but the nice lady cashier immediately got another cashier to help when she saw the amount of stuff that I had in my cart. Luckily, I saw the big yello sign and remembered this place sold greeting cards on the cheap! Only reservation is trying to get off the road SAFELY to pull in since traffic on Atascosita can be a little heavy at peak hours with people that dont know how to slow down... fortunately I made it safely to the parking lot!
