I was in the area of this location and decided to stop in today. I wasn't looking for anything particular for myself. I was welcomed when I entered the store by a female voice. I responded by saying hello and thank you. As usual, the store has so much to browse on, I always start from the left to the right working my way around. That's just to see everything they have to offer. The T-shirt wall is a favorite, there's always something funny to make you laugh. I picked up a couple bundle packages of socks, a couple slime lickers (kiddo's favorite) as I made my way towards the register. Once there, I assume the same female person who greeted me, was now telling me " I need you to stand by the batteries honey!" Like I was standing in the wrong place. I was actually looking to see if the self service registers were available. The clerk was the only person assisting and her current customer was having a payment issue I believe. Meanwhile, a few other customers have now added to the line. The clerk didn't ask for anyone else to come help her, though she didn't seem bothered. The 2 young ladies at the register where doing separate transactions and the clerk was asking for her email to receive a discount. Now, I do get it.. companies want to have a way to increase their profits by sending messages or communications to shoppers. But your line is growing. You're asking for emails, then if you want to purchase a 35 cent reusable bag... the process has turned into an interview at this point. Y'all! As someone who has been coming to this Five Below for a few years, this one used to be a hot mess! Wasn't well stocked, dirty, barely anything to choose from. Imagine my surprise when I walked in yesterday & was met by one of the lovely employees/managers, Leslie! She was super sweet, very energetic & extremely proud of her store! DONNA IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Her attention to customers is extremely low and lack of customer service is disappointing for any sort of business. Donna does not take her job seriously, upper management should see what she does during working hours. She actively was on her phone, taking a personal video call on speaker while "helping me", this was extremely disrespectful and frustrating as a customer. She has no concern for the customers, she wants to be lazy and not do her job as a manager. Even other employees actively spoke about her unwillingness to help on the job. This establishment should really look into who they have in a position of power, because the management is horrible and they should really reconsider who they have, "helping these customers". First time I've been in this store today and I enjoyed it very very much. The staff was nice and friendly and I found all kind of goodies. I didn't expect to find at a low cost. My favorite part was dealing with the manager. The fact that this place AND JoAnns next door denied my child use of the restroom was very sad, disgusting and disappointing. Whichever manager/s are on shift this Thurs, Dec. 12 at 6pm should be demoted and ashamed that they would allow this to happen. We came to the best in the west shopping center to do some Christmas shopping and had to resort to my child urinating in a water bottle we had in the car. The excuse from both places was that their restrooms were "out of service" and they don't have public restrooms. Apparently they don't know Nevada Laws and Assembly Bills. The grand opening for this location was today. The majority of things in this store are strategically priced at $5 and below so you can do one thing...SPEND YOUR MONEY! As you step inside, it's sensory overload with different sections throughout the store...men's and women's clothing section, school supples, cosmetics, gym accessories, action figures, toys, games, and a huge tech section (phone cases, cables, plugs, bluetooth speakers and earbuds, and many, many more! Love this store! Went to one in Southern Cal and have been a fan ever since! The best deals are: t-shirts (Disney- Stitch, Mulan, The Lion King), dresses, yoga mat bags, water shoes, junior size footballs, himalayan salt lamps and covers for the Switch system- all priced at $5.00 each. There are $1.00 items, clearance items, $3.25 items (front section, & near the games) and items beyond $5.00 (back section). Bandanas, near the front, in several colors, are $1.00 each. Store carries: clothing, shoes, socks, fitness, beauty & health, balls, books, toys, games, seasonal, party goods, candy, pets, home, electronics, and foods (near checkout). Something for everyone- this is a fun store. (I use my lime green medium size roller every night on my neck & shoulders- purchased in CA.) Useful items for any home & you can find gifts too! This is classified as a teen discount store but the average customer type was a family with children. The music outside is blaring. It's pop music. It is playing inside too. Signs posted everywhere for social distancing but it's a tight squeeze in some areas. I noticed a clerk restocking 1 section. Checkout has floor marker stickers. Self-checkout for card users. So many really exciting things I found in here! Household, clothing, food, candy, exercise equipment, you name it you can probably find it in here and at a very low affordable price. I keep hearing teachers talk about Five Below so I decided since I was in the neighborhood to check it out. It has a hodge podge of things you think you don't need and maybe do need. I went in to see if I could find inexpensive party favors but the cooler things were more expensive of course. There were a bunch of people there and my child was excited to find pop its since that is the it toy right now. Overall, I thought it was just ok for what it was and I didn't find the things I really wanted. Self check out is how you check out, which is fine by me, but definitely not a place I want to go out of my way for. I might stop by if I'm in the neighborhood but definitely not my favorite cup of tea. read more

I always drove by this place going to Joann's or another store in the super busy Best in the West plaza, and I always thought it was a vodka store due to the name, and the logo (the little "o" that looks like a degree symbol). Not until I heard they have $5 toys here that I went it. Now it made sense why a vodka store would have pool noodles outside. It's bc they don't sell vodka! They carry lots of name brand toys here, but are on the smaller side. I got my 3 year old a couple Super Mario and Bluey figures and I turned them into Christmas ornaments. There's tons of $5 t shirts, gifts, perfect for stocking stuffers or white elephant gifts. It seems like each location gets a few different items. I found a couple frenchie things at the Centennial location but not here. But this location is def bigger and easier for me to get to. Even though most items are $5, it's easy to spend a lot here! Multiple $5 items add up fast! I usually can't get out of there without spending at least $50. read more

The person who answered the phone was so helpful and confirmed the item was available, the quantity, and even held the items for me to come pick them up. This place is amazing! I always drive by but it was my first time going in. Wow!! They have everything and the prices are incredible. They have super cute home decor, makeup, clothes, snacks, candy, shoes, technology accessories...all for $5 or less! The children's toys were the most impressive. So it's a very small store but it's jam packed with great finds. This would be the perfect store if you need a gift for someone or if you need snacks or are going on a trip somewhere. The shirts are a great price and they have good ones but usually only mediums left so you have to jump on them when they get more in! I hope this review reaches the right people. I went into five below today after parking next to a black Tesla in the very first parking space. When I walked in, I noticed that there was an older woman speaking to one of the Young workers. I grabbed the pillow that I came in to get and as I was checking out, I heard the older woman bragging loudly about how her job was to come into the different five below stores and fire everybody and completely rework the stores. She took so much pride in the fact that she fired so many people that it was absolutely appalling as I was listening to this. She didn't offer to help me check out as they usually do and after I checked out, she didn't even say goodbye just continued bragging to this poor young girl. This is everything that is wrong with corporate America and I hope that whoever this was reads this and has a moment to reflect on what a vile person they are while driving in, what I can only assume, was their Tesla. Unfortunately, the person attending the checkout lanes that was here last time was there tonight when we went. I heard her tell another customer that she would help ring them up, so I hurried to another self-checkout lane. She ended up not helping that other customer, instead standing a foot behind my husband during most of our checkout process. Not even joking, just standing directly behind him, watching us scan & bag our items. She stepped over to our left, still keeping her eyes 100% locked on us. When we were leaving, I told my husband how close she was standing to him and he said he already knew as he could feel the warmth of her body on him! I was hoping she wasn't here because of our other recent visit & awkward encounter. Every year my husband and I go to a store together but hide our stocking stuffers from each other. Last visit in this store, I was trying to keep casual conversation when she scanned my items and explained what my husband and I do to surprise each other for Christmas. She proceeds to "hint" at what my husband (who paid earlier and was waiting in the car) got me. Ruining most of the surprise. Super weird thing to do, but just thought she was just an awkward kid, no biggie. We are awkward, too, which is why we prefer places that offer self checkout. I wonder why they even bother having self checkout lanes here if there is an overbearing employee who would rather do it for you. This last encounter with her, though, just inappropriate & made us feel like she viewed us as thieves or something. I'm not a criminal, I'm just trying to buy my stuff in peace. Other employees, though, pretend we don't exist and don't greet us, which is fine as we never really need assistance while shopping here. The only employee who was pleasant enough to point out was a male manager, I'm assuming, who was also there tonight. Super bummer that this is how it's been the past couple times we've been here. Used to be such a fun store, now it's always under-stocked & crowded with people. Plus side is what they do have is usually kept very clean and organized. Don't go to this location!! The employees are rude and unprofessional. I have never had an issue at any of the other locations. The employees are usually happy, friendly and willing to help. I also noticed at other stores they greet you as soon as you walk in. Nobody greeted me or asked if I needed help at this location. I came to this particular location to look for an item I found at a different store (it was the last one and I needed another one). I simply asked the employee (Chris) attending the registers if they had any of that said item in stock, or if they would be getting any more in (since I didn't know if it was an old item). He looked clueless and turned to another lady that was standing next to him. She gave me an indirect answer, and started talking about she wouldn't know because they've only been opened for a year???!! Then I asked again, thinking maybe she didn't understand my simple question. At this point, she proceeds to call me a KAREN??? Like whaaaat??? Anyways I left the store, got in the car and next thing I know the lady that called me KAREN got in a white Hyundai car that was parked next to me. She continued to give me dirty looks while she was in her car. Lmao. All I could think was "what a weirdo." At this point I was like I need to file a complaint on this B. I called the store and spoke to "CHRIS" and asked for the lady's name that was being rude to me. He responded with "I can't give you that information." I told him that I was going to file a complaint with the district manager and I wanted to provide them with her employee number or name and store location. He continued to tell me it was against store policy to give out employee names. He eventually told me that the lady was a store manager. Unbelievable! I don't know what kind of store manager calls people Karen's, doesn't know their products or how to professionally act towards customers. Great store! Loved how many different options there was and surprised how big the store actually is, it just keeps going. And honestly couldn't believe how many accessories they have especially for phones well iPhone and my and Android user so that was awesome and the only frustrating part since I couldn't find anything for my phone. I'm on the fence of a one or two star. The only reason why it would have been more than a one-star is the amazing customer service I've always received from employees and other managers prior to today's experience. Today's experience is for the rating. I came in to buy a ton of items from Five Below. I've never had this issue at this store or any other store before. I was in the checkout process and had to grab a few more items. From far across the store, Rachel (redhead) rose her voice at me. I have NEVER had anyone cause a scene with me in the store before or anywhere else for that matter. I remained quiet, complied and returned the additional items. She kept reiterating "Customer Service", but yelling at a customer from across the store while the store was busy is far from great customer service or the "WOW" factor of 5 Below's culture. There were about 8 customers within the direct vicinity that looked at me. I've never had this embarassment before and don't wish it on anyone else. When I came back to the checkout counter, she only allowed me to purchase two of the same item whereas I've seen other customers purchase more. No signs in the store mention this rule. She proceeded to mention, "Customer Service" and "Being Fair", but this is the most terrible customer service I've received. I've spent close to $1,500 here. She needs a retraining; if she's a manager, I'm worried for those working with her. read more
