I absolutely LOVE thrift shopping! Ive heard of Deseret thrift store but never went until recently & so glad i did! Deseret is a big thrift store with so much finds! About the store: VERY organized, clean, huge selections, products & clothing are very clean. They must selectively look at everything before just "throwing" it on floor like other thrift stores - items are all in great resalable condition. Kitchen appliances & dishes appear to be cleaned before tagging for sale. Clothing is CLEAN and in great condition. This store has a large selection of everything you can think of including furniture - NICE furniture. A lot of things are also new at great prices! There are lots of workers available for assistance if needed and everyone is pleasant and helpful. Deseret thrift stores is not my favorite! read more

This store intentionally selling broken electonic stuff. When I brought the electronic stuff that is broken and tried to exchange it. The manager simply says final sales on the receipt and No return. You better start posting that policy everywhere in the store about that, so people can see it. It may be illegal selling broken electronic stuff. The manager need to know better. read more

Always helpful staff here. So many great finds! Barron was great with helping us with a heavy coffee table. We found the same one for over $800 online. Paid only $65 today! TOTAL SCORE! I like chill thrifting. I know there are resellers everywhere, but they are out en force at the Deseret store on Craig Rd. A woman cackled at me, "does this say Pampered Chef? I have bad eyes..." Like, ma'am - please. Nothing against the store. Just my editorial on the scene. Competitive thrifters harsh my pursuit of pretty things for me. Pros: Open until 7pm. Huge parking lot. Lots of stuff, especially clothes. Cons: A little thin on housewares for my taste. Plenty of items, but spotty in terms of category. I got some pretty vintage paper doilies and a little bowl. $3.25. Customer service is terrible at this location. About 20 minutes ago, an older man, and an older woman got a huge fight in the back of the stores near the DVDs and I as a security officer actually handled the situation and got them to stop arguing because no employee responded when they asked for help. At checkout, the young lady that rang me up, was very snarky and rude with me when I asked her to separately bag everything because it looked like it was going to break, and that it looked like it was too heavy. She kept being really sarcastic and rude toward me and so I said to her "by the way, I work Security and you had a people fighting in the back of the store and I actually did something about it," and I got no thank you or no acknowledgment that she cared or anything so this is my final time shopping at the store. Best thrift. I love to thrift , I've tried a few different places including consignment and your usual thrift stops. I really enjoy Deseret. Their prices are extremely reasonable. I got my pairs of Levi's for $6 there. Stocked ip all of my pant needs in one go with some shirts as well for less than $40. I even got a colored nice vase for decor and a lamp shade!! Decent store with enough items. People who shop there are very antisocial (like much of vegas) so its just a weird vibe in the store and you feel awkward shopping there unless you bring a family member or friend. People completely avoid eye contact the the workers are equally as awkward. Im guessing its the repressive religious vibes there. A-okay but not as good as once was. They did a remodel of the store a while back, and for some reason after that they just pack the shelves now so tight with goods that glass and china etc. bump around and get chipped/damaged. The metal and wood goods, and flatware, and frames/prints, cannot easily be seen to buy because they shove so much into those areas you can't see anything :-( A bit of a tight fit in the aisles too when it's crowded, and it doesn't help when employees are in the aisles too checking their phones or talking amongst themselves. Still a good place for occasional treasure, even through prices have increased too since the remodel! read more

I'll try my best not to write long blogs but I have to go downtown on this blog lol. I have a background and I still network with people with home designs, flooring contractors and Realtors. This thrift stores is one of the best place to get home decors if you have a skill set like a mind of a designer. I'm amazed of this place I'm not kidding at all everything here is economical I don't think this is just an ordinary thrift store. This stuff have brand new things and generally a lot of used items. Use items that has monumental value or must be donated from lot of wealthy people out there. If I ever donated all my things. I most likely would just donate it to this thrift store. Hey if you're looking for nice clothes they have nice clothes here or if you're looking for a nice furniture's you're more likely going to see furniture's here better than other thrift stores. Or like me if you're looking for a decors at a economical price, you're definitely going to find something here. There's been stories and a lot of thrift stores out there that you'll find something valuable and all of a sudden it's like a couple thousand bucks to a million I'd be very surprised if you find something here no doubt. Especially that we're in Vegas lol! Happened to be in the area and this is one of my favorite places to visit. I was looking for a wine rack and I found a perfect one for my décor display. You want to guess how much I got it for? So hilarious! I got it for two bucks lol! Anyway by all means I encourage you to shop here and I so appreciate this place. Grace & Jerry , the apparent "managers on duty" walked up to me & said that I had put on a different pair of jeans than I walked in the store with. WHEN I HAD NOT. They walked up to me & accused me of stealing when there would have been no time that i could've even put on another pair of pants, i was in there for 10 minutes maximum. when i asked for the corporate number , they both claimed they werent the managers at the time (then later said that they were?) & said they couldnt give me the corporate number. Grace also condescendingly had said that if i need any "help or resources" that they offered some, basically saying that i was poor and in need of "help"? This is the worst experience at a thrift store and i will never be coming back to any desert industries locations. read more

First impression: store smells good and is well organized and is large. Things are sorted and displayed by color or type; I.e jeans, skirts, suits, plaid, shoes, etc. Prices are also reasonable. I enjoy going thrift shopping. You can find so many hidden treasures (One man's trash is another man's treasure). Driving in the area with family we came across Deseret Industries and a family member in the car recommended this thrift store. I had no idea that this place existed and I tend to pass it quite often. On a Saturday afternoon we thought we would take up that recommendation and check it out there. First thing I realized from the exterior was that this particular thrift shop was a pretty big size. There's also lots and lots of parking. Deseret Industries is located on the Northwest corner of Craig and Allen on the north side of the Las Vegas valley. It is very well lit throughout the entire store. Also, the store is very very organized and color coordinated. I'm not too sure how I feel about the "color coordinated-ness" because it seemed a little overwhelming for me. However, it works and you can definitely tell that they take pride in maintaining their store. You can seriously find lots and lots of goods there for unbeatable prices. You can also tell that they take the time to sort through all of the items that are donated and that they put on the sales floor. You get the benefits of great quality for a great price (in other words great quantity in your cart). You also can find some great furniture pieces that are of great sturdy value. I wish I could say that their customer service is exceptional, but it wasn't anything outstanding. While browsing through the store I passed quite a few of the associates and was not greeted by a single person. Also, the lady at the register didn't engage in too much conversation but took quite a long time ringing up our items at the register. It was a lot of awkward silence but thank goodness I had company with me to alleviate that. Overall, I'd recommend going to Deseret Industries for your thrift shopping if you happen to be on that side of town. Here's a quick breakdown... I bought a $60.00 "Jewelry Jar." There's always risk with this kind of purchase but this was a *complete* scam. Almost everything was broken and a lot of it wasn't even jewelry. There were at least four broken sets of Catholic rosary beads. Holy Rosaries are not costume jewelry. Interestingly, the Crucifix was removed from every Holy Rosary, no idea by whom but I have a good guess. Apparently, selling sacramentals from other faiths as costume jewelry is their idea of a joke? Hilarious. I get that it's a junk jar of costume jewelry but this was just complete garbage. Every single necklace broken. Tossed the whole jar in the trash; I couldn't even donate it to Goodwill with a clear conscience. Complete waste of $60 and no fun whatever. Came in on a Saturday morning with my wife and was looking at the business suits. Then manager came over to me and told me I couldn't have a gun in the store and had to leave it in the car. There's was NO sign at the door saying (No Weapons) allowed and I explained that to him but says it's a private company and that's their policy. Here's the problem....if that's your policy cool, but at least offer your customers the peace of mind by having armed security in case some psychopath walks in to kill innocent people. Unfortunately we live in a world where there's evil lurking at all times. If you don't like guns that's on you. But for me and my family I rather have a gun and not need it then need a gun and not have one. read more

Introduced to Deseret when I was in need of a 90s themed prom dress for a birthday party recently. A friend of mine suggested a thrift shop and the rest is history. Great finds. Wide variety of clothes, shoes, books, formal gowns, furniture. Definitely worth a visit especially when you're looking for Halloween costumes or something original. Donating used clothing is super easy too. They have a drive-thru around back. Just pull up and they'll take care of the rest. Ps, in case you were wondering. I found the dress.
