They have a little bit of everything here, but they especially stock a lot of puzzles, games, Beanie Babies, quality animal figurines from companies like Schleich, along with a healthy selection of marbles. They don't carry many dolls or action figures, and are thin on plush toys. I was hoping to find some Uglydolls, and carrying some vinyl collectible toys would be nice for us older kids. Service is friendly and helpful. The store could be more kid-friendly, with more kid-centric decor, maybe a fun mural, kid colors..more character. I can tell the owners are a bit anal-retentive here, with a dozen plus signs around the animal figurines that say not to play with the toys. How about just letting kids be kids? Or make a designated Kid Zone with a bunch of sample toys to play with. It feels a bit like a library, like I should whisper, probably due mostly to lack of customers and no background noise. While it's nice having a locally owned toy store, Red Balloon is geared toward an adult clientele. They really need someone to come in and help them redesign the place with kids in mind. If the book table employed employees like the people at the front, I would recommend this place. The employee at the "candy part" of the store was so engrossed with talking with her family/friend that she didn't even recognize there was somebody there wanting to buy something? I only had it limited in the amount of time because I wanted to get something for someone and I only had a few minutes to get something and run it over to them. After about 510 minutes of the employee talking to their friends/family member they gave each other a hug and the ones that I hope things go better for you or something like that. The employee asked me if there was something that they could do and I said not anymore. the time was spent. I wanted something earlier. Plus, part of their store had mold in it. Could tell that water had fallen through and landed on the carpet. I could not even look at that section of the bookstore because of the mold.

I contacted an employee after I couldn't find it on the shelf, they went to the back and got it and brought it out to me. I then asked her if I could still get the discount even though we did not place the order online because it was quicker to come in and get it. She said yes and to make sure the person at the register gave me the discount and to tell them that the lady in the back said to give it to us at the discount. The comforter was marked at $180 and with the discount would only be $72. So I went to check out and the lady rang it up and I proceeded to tell her the story of how we saw it online but didn't place the order because it would have been quicker to come in and just get it and that the lady in the back said it was ok to still get the discount. The lady listened and then said that she could not give me a discount, but that I could get the discount by applying for kohl's cash (which I learned is a credit card) I told her my wife didn't have to do that to get the discount. She then told me that their internet pricing is always different and that I needed to use a "kohl's kiosk" in order to get the same discount. So I walk from the front of the store back to the center of the store to find this ancient machine (honestly the tin man on wizard of OZ looked more updated than this thing) anyways I still had a tiny bit desire to try and make my wife happy and buy the comforter. I had to consistently smash the touch screen to get any response all while trying to enter my email to get an additional 15% off my purchase. After I signed up for the emails the kiosk from the Jurassic age told me that it would send me an email confirmation. After waiting for 5 minutes I never received one and ended up ditching my efforts to buy the comforter. Honestly I never shop here and will never shop here again as they were so unwilling to help me get the same discounts that my wife was able to get online. Good luck staying in business with that type of experience...

I'm calling it that because the rest of the store looks and feels 3X bigger than most Walmarts! Now having said that, Walmart is Walmart! It is what it is! A place I go to get a specific brand of Bass fishing worm. They have a decent sporting goods department in most stores which is the hook for me. This store also has a LOT of USU gear so you look right when you go to the school's sporting events! It's also one of the largest chains in the world and this store helps a lot of families set their kids up on and off campus! There are a ton of self check out kiosks! Waiting in lines is not for me! Yes it's giant! Yes they have almost everything on earth and yes, it'll cost you less than most everywhere else! And this Walmart is a five star Walmart!
