I have nothing against cards. I just don't think about them. I fall squarely outside of the card-conscious demographic. My mother, on the other hand? Loves cards. Specifically, she loves *Hallmark* cards. There was a campaign in the 80s (I think) that was all about if you *really* care about someone, you'll give them a card from Hallmark. The commercial laid it on thick, with the recipients going so far as to check the back of the card to make sure it came from Hallmark. A bold approach, to be sure, but an effective one. From that campaign on, there would be nothing other than Hallmark cards in and out of the T household. So, to this day, when I make the effort to send cards, they're Hallmark cards. I'm fully conditioned. And now, with every other day being some sort of holiday, there's a corresponding card to go with it. Luckily for me, there are stores like Amy's. This is a Hallmark homestead. Large, bright, well-apportioned, and staffed by nice people, this store has everything you can want when it comes to gift-giving: cards, wrapping paper, bags, candy, mugs, ornaments, etc. I had no idea that the card industry had so many touchpoints... and that there were so many categories of cards. But, it does and there are. Considering by the healthy amount of traffic during my visit, I was the only person not to know this. So, when you care enough to send the very best*, you know where to go. When you go, come to Amy's. There's a lot here to show you care. *The marketing campaign nailed it. People don't market like this anymore.

I know the store pretty well and where everything is located. All the children's todays and home decor items are cute! I've never purchased any of those but always thought about it. Service is great! They are willing to help you out and they are aware of someone at the register even if they're in another aisle. I don't usually see more than one store associate in here, but it never seems extremely busy, even after work.

Check out was lackluster. The clerk dropped my husband's change and made no effort to help him get it - even though it had fallen on her side of the counter. She also placed 15+ items in the same bag, crushing chips under heavier glass items. We grabbed more bags and packaged them differently before leaving the store. Most items are $1.25 and some are $3, $5 or $10. Shared parking lot with other businesses.

The biggest thing I noticed was the bright lights of Ulta beauty toward the front of the store. We spent most of our trip in the toy aisles this visit. We found a gift amongst the options. Pro tip: make sure you scan the items with your Target app. Anything on sale online will show and you can request the discount at the counter. Several checkout lanes were open including the self checkout. We got out quickly and our clerk was super friendly.

They have just about everything, home appliances, clothing (Walmart clothing mostly), food, pet food, beauty products, you name it they most likely have it. I'm always on the look for a good bargain and I almost never leave empty handed. My recent visit, I snagged some Starbucks cups cheap. Just make sure you inspect your items carefully because some have damage and all sales are final. They have security here as well so shoplifters be aware. I definitely plan on coming back here again and again. This is the only Louisville location (so far) there is another one in Jeffersonville. I have not been there. They carry Crest toothpaste in 2.9 oz (in compliance with the 3oz airplane carry on rule) for $1.... compare to the less than 1 oz tube at big box stores for the same price. Today I picked up a pack of 3 adhesive Birthday ribbons. At any other store these ribbons are $2.50+ for one. I also picked up some DenTek dental picks today .... $4.25 on Amazon vs. $1 at Dollar Tree. I always compare prices of items on Amazon, Target or Kroger app while I'm shopping. I will admit some items sold are not always the best to buy at Dollar Tree. Today Kelly was working the register when I was checking out. She was so friendly with every customer she interacted with!

I always go online and get the 40% off one item. I mean why not? They have things for every little hobby. Hence the name. The customer service is good and the people are nice. I like it because it is a one stop shop for me when it comes to getting containers and books for my coins and bills. The selection is nice. I usually walk the store after I pick up what I want. If I had more time I would do something else that would require some time. But I don't. Especially during the summer. During the winter is when I get more things accomplished like my models.
