Honestly, this is probably a hit or miss location. I almost always never find anything when I come in here. And I only come every blue moon! And compared to other locations, they just don't seem to have a huge selection! I love Nordstrom Rack but this location is not great. I've always heard that Nordstrom is known for their shoe selection. We came here to look for some shoes for hubby today. This Rack is a square box shaped store. The racks and racks of shoes are in the back section of the store. The rest of the store is filled with clothing and accessories. I did not notice any home stuff in the store today. The men's shoe selection is quite impressive! Hubby is usually disappointed with a shoe store's size 12 offerings. But not here, not today! There were almost two full rows of size 12 shoes for him. The rows were neatly arranged and I did not notice any gross, returned used shoes! It did not take us long to find the shoes that he wanted. The prices were not a whole lot different from Off Broadway or DSW. Nordstrom Rack's brands and selection definitely wins with quality rather than quantity. I also ventured over to the women's shoe racks. Although I only did a quick once-over. I also did not notice any used-looking shoes on the racks. Besides the regular racks, they also have a few racks of "designer" shoes. I will definitely add Nordstrom Rack to my list of Shoe Places. read more

I'm very familiar with the Nordstrom store. It's with Nordstrom where I learned quality customer service and quality retail merchandise, as I used to work for them p/t in my mid 20s while living in the DC Metro area. This particular rack store is not as good as other racks I've visited, but their inventory is still really good. I found a pair of fly Tory Burch boots at this location about a year ago that I'm completely satisfied with. Granted, Nordstrom has held the reputation for an awesome shoe department - quantity and quality. So what you see at the rack is truly nothing compared to the actual store. But great bargains can still be found. This store is worth shopping if you want to find some great Nordstrom deals. And it's good for those (myself included) who appreciates quality clothing, affordable prices, and simply being a smart shopper. I must admit there are times when I'm surprised by some of the brands (can't recall specific names right now) at the rack store, as I didn't recall them being at their actual store. But, I just keep it moving until I find something I like. No reason for me to take on the attitude "I'll never step in that store again". I do recall a time I browsed the jewelry section and it looked at bit messy and disorganized (I was quite surprised by its disorderly appearance), in addition to the employees socializing a bit too much considering how much this section could use their "on the clock" attention. Otherwise, the store looked pretty clean and not picked over. But, all in all, I think this is a pretty decent store when I consider the actual Nordstrom store and compare it with other racks I've visited. Inventory may be better on some days than others, but I'd always come back to check out what's in stock. Bought pair of $80 shoes to wear to my sons law school graduation out of state. As we're driving I notice that the padding around the heel, on both shoes, had cuts on them. I take them back to the store with the receipt and they won't refund my money. They state they were worn. I told the store manager that yes they were on my feet when I noticed that both were defective. I proceed to tell him that they are defective and they sold me defective shoes and he said they don't sell defective items. He was an ass and didnt care. He said he's sorry but they were worn and he won't do a refund. Sorry doesn't help me. Be honest and admit you sell damaged goods to customers. it's on I these were cut as they are cut in both shoes on both sides of each shoes. He said yes but they were worn. Worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. Been a longtime customer until today. Will never shop there again. Don't waste your time or money going there. They just want your money. read more

Nordstrom Rack is basically the home to purchase discounted styles that would be sold at any Nordstrom Store. I purchased some cosmetics online spent a couple of hundred dollars only to find when I opened one of them actually both of them they looked like they had been used. that means tomorrow I have to go to the dreaded Nordstrom rack which I would rather take a bullet in the head then to walk in that store anymore. Whenever I go to Nordstrom rack- I am absolutely appalled at the mannerism of their manager. He/she is the rudest person I have ever communicated with and if you're walking in the store at 15 till closing time you can almost immediately made to feel like you need to turn around and walk right back out and come in first thing tomorrow morning even if you just have a quick return and won't take two minutes of their time. I used to shop here all the time! I would spend a couple of thousand dollars a month easily, but just because of the treatment that I receive at Nordstrom rack from the one particular manager it has definitely limited my shopping experience at the Nordstrom rack in Louisville Kentucky. I'd rather drive to Cincinnati and shop at Nordstrom then to even return an item at Nordstrom rack. I have been to multiple Nordstrom Racks and this one seems to lack something. I am not entirely sure what it is, but everytime I visit this location I am disappointed. They do not seem to have a solid selection of designer pieces, I have noticed this store seems to be smaller than others I have been too. The store is well kept and neat. Things are not out of place and a mess like some stores that are discount can be. I have walked out empty handed more than I have walked out with a bag full of purchases. I have a contentious relationship with The Rack. On the whole, most of the stores do me right. I mean, there are deals to be had. You just have to really know what you are looking for and what you are looking at before you enter the fray. I was pretty excited that Louisville had finally been deemed worthy of a Rack. I came in as a quick stop to see if I could locate a top for my event on Saturday. One of my biggest pet peeves has to do with customer service. It coincides with manners and etiquette, which I understand is something missing in many businesses these days. Specifically, I heard a female employee say loud enough that I could hear her in the middle of the store, "please, just everyone go home". I get it. It is late. However being rude is never acceptable. Never. I think perhaps a mandated course on what is appropriate to say vs. think is something these employees should have to attend. By the way, my shopping is typically in the 3-5k range yearly. I like nice items and a good deal. However, there are plenty of other discounters that I can do business with. read more

A great place to buy purses and shoes!! While I haven't had any luck with clothes (in the process of dropping some weight) I have had a great deal of luck where shoes are concerned!! I have gotten a pair of Asics Gel for $15, another pair of Asics Gel for $36 and a pair of Nikes for $43!! I use one pair of Asics for crossfit and the other for my nurse job, both are very comfy! The Nikes I use for cross training on elliptical and general gym time. All of my shoes are very comfortable! I have found a lot of Rebeccca Minkoff items here too! I got a Mini MAB bag for $225 (originally $475), a MAB bag for $270 (originally about $525), a 2 MAC slim wristlets for $50 each (originally $125) and a keychain ID holder for $25 (originally $50) All Rebecca Minkoff items are made from real leather and are easy to scratch and mess up, but every one of these items are in perfect condition!!! I love being able to get my favorite designer for less!! I will say the key to shopping at the Rack is to go often as possible OR to keep an open mind. They get shipments about 3 times a week, so keep an eye out if you're looking for a certain something. I am hoping that if this store does well, then Louisville will get a real Nordstroms!! read more

Yes, it's cluttered a bit, but is much cleaner, better stocked and well-organized than Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Loehmann's, and that ilk. Selection varies, of course, but I find many of the women's brands, styles, and trends I prefer at deep discount on a regular basis. Consistent availability and quality with reliable, exceptional savings on purses, stockings/Spanx, shoes, luggage, spa care (Bliss line is great) and fragrance, with some occasional stunners in jewelry and watches. This Rack is underwhelming. Perhaps, because there is no Nordstrom in Louisville, they are "understocked". It is rather small, but well kept. You have to go with patience and take time to search. Finding a gem may depend on your durability. Shortly after the store opened, I did find a pair of great Clark's shoe-boots for a third of their usual expensive cost, but on each subsequent visit, I left empty handed. When you first walk in, you are greeted with a lot of more expensive clothing, which would seem to say that this "Rack" is just as expensive as any other department store and you've wasted your time. However, if you take the time to go to the sales racks and clearance racks, you will find more than enough pieces that you will fall in love with that are reasonably priced. Everything I've gotten from Nordstrom Rack has been good quality and at a great price (I've purchased shoes, dresses, shirts, and cardigans). The selection is limited, though. So you have to accept that what you're looking for may not be here. However, compared to TJ Maxx, i would come to Nordstrom Rack every time. read more
