I was very impressed with their selections of holiday decor, books (for adults and toddlers), and the name brand toys (Melissa and Doug). I think it's a great place to check in and see what they have because everything is discounted from a regular store. With that being said, the discounts aren't as deep as I was imagining. I would say everything is like 10-25% off. The workers were all kind and moving as quickly as possible- the day I went it was packed but that's to be expected as it's brand new.

Super cheap. The sweet senior lady working there opened up 15 min early for us and was a doll. My boyfriend scored a seriously awesome vintage jacket for a buck and I found lots of unique things. We went around Thanksgiving and they had loads of nicer Christmas items, too...most for under a dollar.

From somewhere in the shop I hear "Hello!, Wellcome!" bellowed with a bit of a laugh behind it. When my friends come to town The Painted Home is our first stop. We always find something. I never make it out of there without a silly card or two. I recently redid some cabinets and Angie suggested milk paint. I had never used it but she assured me it would be easy. It was. I had a few questions during the process and just picked up the phone and she was there with the answers. I call that great service! Can't wait to join a few classes. I ordered some groceries with the Schnucks app for pick up and paid for my order. When I arrived at…read morethe store, I was given a third of my items and told that they don't know what happened with the rest. When I asked if I would receive a refund or the rest of my already paid for groceries, I was told there was nothing I could do and that a third party corporate 1-800 number not even related to Schnucks would maybe give me something. I never leave reviews and don't believe that being critical of the service industry is productive most of the time but this is an unbelievably callous way to treat a loyal customer. They can have my $35 dollar "donation" but they won't have the thousands of dollars I will spend on groceries over the next six decades of my life. Hello Dierberg's!
