I usually ignore considering its maybe cause I am an international student. But recently she went ham. I was entering kroger and I met 2 of my friends from college on my way in. Since I met them in the store , we chatted while be bought our groceries. When it came to getting checked out, Kathy was staring at me again. They went for self check out while I went for the billing counter and she threw a fit to the fact that I was buying alcohol and had my ID but that my friends who I met at the store should show their ID as well because I came to buy myself alcohol. All the other employees were fine but she created a big scene with all the other customers staring at us like we did something wrong and my friends were apologizing to me for talking to me in the store and being around me while we chatted and talked. I told her we dont live together , and we were going to our separate homes but she was just loud and rude and I must say, it seemed she was pissed at me which was usual by the way she stares at me all the time, but her making humiliating me and my friends in public was just disgusting and I think I am done with shopping at kroger. Might just shop at Walmart instead.

People all over the parking lot so patience is required. As you enter, the store smells amazing. Not sure what scent that use but I need to find it. Staff is nice and the food items are great. The produce is so good and this place used to be my go to for fresh guac when I didn't feel like making it myself. I bought a few items from all over but I was looking for a large family salad line they used to sell. Either they were out or they no longer make it. Tucked away in an inconspicuous strip center, Foods for Health has had surprisingly good business for many years considering it's Rolla and Wal-Mart is only half a mile down the road. That said, the products at Foods for Health might be twice the cost of what you'd pay at Wal-Mart but you'll be supporting a local business and buying products made by smaller and probably more socially responsible companies. Half of the store is groceries and nutritional supplements where you can find bulk-packaged dried beans, canned goods, cereals, nuts, dried fruit, flours, frozen foods, local eggs and cheese, vegan cheese and ice cream, and every possible health supplement you could want. The other half consists of books on health and diet issues, cosmetics, and toiletries. Foods for Health also provides massage services which I think you need to do by appointment. And if you're turned off by the higher prices, go there after Christmas when they have a 10% sale. They also accept SNAP benefits (food stamps).

There is one guy who works in the pick up department and he is super hospitable and caring, shops well, organizes well and cares how your groceries are packed and he is great at picking out produce. I wish I knew his name because he deserves to be recognized.
