I love this Goodwill Outlet! However it's important that you know what you are getting into and set your expectation right or you will have a 1 star experience here. They open for two 3 hour chunks during the day. They are closed in the middle of the day. During the closed time they are restocking the bins and making sure there is inventory on the floor. If you arrive right at opening time it's literally like a Black Friday stampede and mad dash for a cart. SCARY! To prevent this you can arrive early and stand in line hoping to get a cart OR come an hour after opening time and walk right in and get a cart. This is an outlet of your standard Goodwill store, which means super low prices and leftover stuff. IE: lots of resellers, online sellers and thrift store buyers are here trying to get the best deal they can to resell this stuff to you somewhere else. You will notice this right away with people that have 3 carts filled to the brim of good stuff. I'm not that serious about it. I'm shopping for personal use looking for items I can wear or use, sometimes gift. I don't mind being there super early. I find it kind of stressful actually. I like to come an hour or so in when people are already leaving and there are empty carts and I can shop slowly without others rushing me. The downfall here is "the good stuff" might already be gone. Maybe... but I've found really good deals here like" lululemon leggings, athleta leggings, entire dish sets, containers for cookie baking season, so many name brand clothes - some new with tags on, books and shoes. Almost everything I buy is still new with tags or in like new condition. AND WORTH every cent I spend on it. The bins with the items can be very scary. There can be sharp things sticking out, glass, etc. in them. They are stacked high and awkwardly. Items are literally thrown into the bin and just pushed to the floor. Prepare yourself mentally for this (it can be a lot). I recommend you bring and wear gloves. Be careful as you move stuff around in the bins because the whole thing shifts. After digging in once or twice it gets less scary. Be aware that there are no returns and you will be RUSHED through checking out. Step to the side when you have your items and make sure they are what you and in the condition you want. I check every page of books to make sure no pages are missing/ no one colored in it, etc and all my clothing for holes, stains, rips, tears. Overall this is a 5 star experience for me. I buy goods worth hundreds of dollars for 10% of that price. I usually keep a list on hand of wants/needs and don't rush on finding it. So I'm a casual shopper here. read more

I go to Goodwill Outlet on a regular basis because I have a small business online and I purchase other items. This is a different kind of thrift shopping. The items are in bins for digging through. You can find great deals on books, clothing, shoes, and more. I have purchased puzzles, educational items and puzzles. I know there are some low reviews here. I will say that this place isn't for everyone. I have brought some family here and they have told me they wouldn't want to go back. Make sure you bring sturdy gloves and some bags to carry your stuff out in or if you show up at opening then you may not get a cart. I rate it 4 stars because I do like going and I go often, but I don't like how customers just throw items around in the bin. It makes for finding items difficult or somethings get broken. There are also cases where one customer might have two or three carts which is frustrating when there aren't any carts available. Goodwill Outlet hours are 10am-1pm and 3pm-6pm. If you get there at opening be aware that you will wait in line. Everything is by weight except books; they are measured. I have gotten some really great deals. The folks who left 1-star reviews didn't do their homework: They expected this to be a typical thrift shop. My question to them would be: "When an organization sells other peoples' worn shirts for $4 and arranges its clothing by color rather than size, what were you expecting their outlet store to be?" This place carries the unsold stuff from local Goodwills. You pay by the pound, or inch for books. Everything is thrown into bins that are periodically switched out for "new" "merchandise." Customers here search for items for their thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, and online sites. Great deals are available if you're willing to put in time, go elbow to elbow with other deal seekers, and risk a cut hand for your inattentiveness to broken glass. A lengthy line forms before opening. Sometimes, there aren't enough carts for all the deal seekers. Keep your cart close: someone may take it and dump your items elsewhere. (If you miss a cart find a big box to haul your treasures.) During COVID check the website for store hours and special instructions. read more

Since the pandemic started after they re-opened they have different hours they are now open from 10 AM to 1 PM and then from 3 PM to 6 PM daily. The bins remain on the floor for the 3 hour time it's open. When they close at 1 PM and 6 PM the bins are rolled off the floor to make room for a new batch of items to come in for the next opening. read more

Don't understand why they don't have normal hours like other Goodwill Outlets. They used to, then Covid caused a change, and they have never went back. Very disappointing! Bins are not changed except when they are closed between 1-3. I love going to the Colorado bins when I'm there. Just not as enjoyable here anymore. read more

I shop both outlets in the area, one in Midtown St Louis and one in Bridgeton. They are pretty much alike; for me there are subtle differences. For those who gave one star reviews, they could have said, "not for me," because it's not for everyone. Those of us who are regulars and recognize value in discarded items find it's their favorite place to shop. it's the only place I find inventory for my online shop. Last year I made $22,000 dollars on items I found in the bins, and that's just a part time job! I've seen people get upset, or be crabby and often children take up too much space in the aisles, BUT, nearly all the shoppers are friendly and POLITE, and offer to help you reach across a bin if your arms are too short, or help you load up items they know you're looking for. If you come, come with an open mind and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Wear gloves if you want because sometimes there's broken glass; once you're used to the bins you probab won't need them. If you expect clothes on hangers go to the Goodwill stores in your neighborhood. If you don't like the outlet, you can just say, it's not for me. read more

This isn't like a normal Goodwill, but it isn't priced like a normal Goodwill. By putting in 2.5 hours, my sister and I found 27 items, many of which were in great condition and all were mid-to-high-end brands (Polo, Banana Republic, Hartstrings, Gymboree, Lululemon, Gap). The good items do not jump out at you - you'll have to dig through thousands of pounds of almost complete trash to come away with a good haul, but it's worth it. For $14 ($1.19/lb, I think), we purchased what would have probably cost $80 even at a regular Goodwill, and an absurd amount new. At a Goodwill retail store, there is some guilt about taking the good finds from other shoppers, but at the outlet, you can feel pride from saving those beautiful items from landfill. read more

I have donated many household items here as I recently downsized but for first time went inside looking for a cheap fishing pole. I was disgusted with what I saw. Rows of shallow tub-like tables on wheels filled with totally unrelated items. Clothing on top of dirty tools, on top of sporting goods. Appliances, frying pans, clothes, kids stuff, people are digging thru bins covered with clothes and you don't know what your reaching into. It is a deplorable presentation and a lack of respect for their customers. They could Make an effort to combine somewhat related items together. Keep clothing separated by kids, women's, men's. Things buried under clothing people don't know what they are sticking their hands into. I will never donate to Goodwill given their lack of customer respect. Go to St Vincent DePaul or Savers instead. read more

I was there maybe a year ago. They use to have .59€ all electronics I wonder when they coming back. Overall good bargain place I don't usually come there anymore because it's far away for me, when they had that deal it was worth it going there. read more
