Dear Canadian Jesus. I've been to my fair share of Five Guys and this one takes the cake. Upon entering we were greeted by the super clean environment and the super cheerful employees behind the counter. Our cashier was patient and super helpful. She answered our questions knowledgeably and was friendly. We were told our name would be called when all was ready. We grabbed our sodas and peanuts and took a seat. Our wait was less than 5-7minutes. The ladies that handed over our food were also really nice and genuine. We ordered a cheeseburger with pickles and a cheeseburger with grilled onions, pickles, tomatoes, mayo and mustard. Along with those unmistakable fries! Good. Lord. Our burgers were so fresh, so meaty and so juicy. Temp was perfect and toppings were on point. Our fries were so well seasoned, hot, crunchy and soft all at the same time. And of course there were a ton to take home. Facilities were clean, drink station was tidy. Everything was so delightful from beginning to end. Even on our way out, the employees wished us a good night and thanked us again. This crew definitely has their act together. read more

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is the next of the new wave of American Fast Food joints invading Canada currently. The burgers are pretty good but do not order the normal sized burgers as they all come with double patties! A nice thing about this place is there is a huge selection of things you can have on your burger at no extra cost. A single order of fries is also enough to feed a small army and there are no combos to be found here. I do love the free peanuts that you can grab and eat while waiting for your meal. My real complaint with Five Guys is that it just seems to cost too much for a fast food joint. I understand that using fresh pototoes might make the process of making crispy fries a bit more difficult....but New York Fries does the same thing and gets it spot on. I recently visited 5 Guys for the first time. My expectations were high, I admit, because of everything I had heard. I ordered a mushroom and onion cheeseburger and their spicy fries. There was no more than 1 teaspoon of minced mushrooms on the burger and even fewer onions. I had to open the burger up to see if there were any at all! The bun was soggy and the fries were limp. After hearing such wonderful things about this restaurant, I was extremely disappointed to say the least. I hate to say this, but even McDonald's would have provided much better food than this for a fraction of the price. The one positive thing I can say about this restaurant is that the portions are huge. So be prepared and have a huge appetite. read more

We are regulars of Five Guys in Vancouver and south of the border. This time we were on our way to the Okanagan and wanted a quick lunch. We tried for another place that unfortunately was closed and then got the idea for the familiar burger. Everything was delivered as it should but what stood out was the fantastic service. The girl who took our order at the cashier was very friendly and a dedicated worker. The kitchen staff was awesome too, we were sitting at our table munching on peanuts when they brought the food to us... As we left the cashier was cleaning tables and she stopped to thank us and wish us goodbye. If I'm not mistaken she has a special needs and therefore I applaud the franchisee for giving the less fortunate among us with employment opportunity and particularly one that is customer facing. I was leaning towards 4 stars but this deserves a 5th. PS my brother and his family travelled through Chilliwack earlier today and on our recommendation stopped at this 5 guys joint as well. I went to the 5 Guys recently, and found the experience alright but not stellar. The fries don't come in a container that you can easily use, so you have to dump them somewhere, or cut down the bag. The fries were good, not great. The burger toppings seemed good, but why oh why do they use processed cheese when there are so many great cheeses out there? Also, the patty itself seemed to have absolutely no seasoning at all. Is there anyone who serves a burger where the patty has some flavour? I might go back, but unless the experience was better than this, that would be it. read more

My wife and I decided it was time to experience the guys stuff as we were shopping nearby. We both ordered the bacon cheese, mine was the double. The fries were great. I don't like ketchup or pickles, and ordered it that way, says so on my receipt. It came minus the ketchup but with a healthy dose 6 or more pickles. That ruined my meal. Other than that, they need someone to keep the floor clean, there was assorted fries and other garbage on the floor giving us a decided feeling of lack of cleanliness. I went there at around 9PM to see if the burgers and fries would be good, so I got a cheeseburger with pickles and ketchup, which I didn't think was possible to mess up. The fries were pretty good, but the burger was not worth $9... The burger tasted bland and slightly off, and upon my first bite I immediately regretted buying it, I tried it without the pickles, and oh my god the meat tasted like greasy cardboard being slightly complimented by cold plastic-like cheese... Ugh, it was not pleasant, the feeling afterwards feels like a McDonalds indigestion afterparty x100, I hope I'm not sick. The cook also was surprisingly unsanitary, she had a very weird habit of resting her hands on appliances and herself, I tried not to think too much about it, but it kinda disturbed me, how long had she been doing that? That couldn't possibly be healthy... The work environment also appeared to be very dangerous, the entire kitchen area was flooded with soapy water, I think they may have been de-greasing the floor, but they shouldn't do that during working hours, especially with the hot oil and griddle running. If you're looking at trying peanut oil fries, I would recommend going to try it, but if you're in Chilliwack DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ELSE BECAUSE IT IS DISGUSTING AND OVERPRICED. read more

The burgers are great. Lots of toppings and really tasty. I'd recommend ordering a "little hamburger" because the other one is way too big. Processed cheese on their burgers? I guess that's a judgment call. The fries are another story. Greasy to the point of soiling the brown paper bag they are served in and not pleasant to eat. They don't do much else... Hot dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches is about it. They also take way too long to make their burgers. They need to put a BIG sign on the window stating that they serve peanuts!!! One of my boys held the door open for me so I didn't see the small 5inch sign on the door that said they served peanuts.
