Actually kindve pleasantly surprised by the quality here. My qualms are around the crucial principals of ingredient proportion. This is critical in burritos, wraps, nachos, and so on. While the ingredients were fresh, all the meat (the good stuff) was in the very middle of the burrito. Consequently, 50% of the bites were just eating lettuce. Kindve a weird vibe inside. Not entirely sure what it's going for. Half street art half food truck aesthetic.

Food and service is a 10/10 the vibe is cozy and the prices are perfect. Staff is lovely, quality is top notch. Can't go wrong with a fish taco, poutine and fountain drink for 9$.

I was looking for a casual place to have some fish tacos. And this was the perfect spot. There's construction on the outside of all the shops here so I almost thought it was closed. But luckily it's open. Place is clean and it wasn't busy on a Saturday evening. I had two tacos, made it a combo, and upgraded it to StrEat fries; the total came out to $23 and change. The Baja Fish Taco was pretty good. The Cajun shrimp taco was not very Cajun-y but it was ok for me. The garlic shrimp fries were really good though; the fries were crispy and the garlic aioli was yummy!

@jasonsalwayshungry I've wondered about this place for a while seeing it around in a few cities and after some peer to peer research we sent it! @streatskitchens did not disappoint the flavours here busted through the chain cafe vibe to deliver major taste and portions. my big city beef burrito(13.25$) was stacked right up the ingredient integration and crispy grill on this tortilla made the difference here a solid 9.2/10 the bounus pork taco and ice cream sandwich by @dservedicecreamsandwiches solidify my quality lunch experience #abbotsford #britishcolumbia #canada #foodie #foodcritic #alwayshungry #burritos #eatabbotsford

I had the Mango Shrimp Taco & Buffalo Chicken Taco and they tasted really good and fresh. Although the soft taco shell was small, the taco serving was quite large. Don't be fooled by the smaller size shell, it's bigger than the shell makes it seem !! Interior decor was pretty cool. LOTS of space so you don't feel crowded. Most important was that the restaurant was VERY clean and staff was on top of garbage and dirty plates / tables. i used the washroom and it was also very clean. I would definitely come again; and probably very soon, and will next time order the poutine !!! A definite MUST TRY and has my recommendation for sure !!

This was a really yummy place for tacos! Something that Abby is lacking for sure. The food was fresh and tasty! A single taco is actually quite large, 2 was very filling. They have little poutines as a side with combos which is a nice touch Canadian deliciousness! There's a good amount of variety with flavours and we really enjoyed our food. We'll definitely be back the only down fall from 5 to 4 is that the wait was rather long, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. However I'm going to assume that this is because everything was made fresh to order as my coconut shrimp taco was so delicious and nice and crispy! I would love to see a tuna taco one day, maybe a good summer feature!

Stopped by this place, nice open space large group high-top table in the middle and several booths around.. very industrial feel to the restaurant. Had the Pulled Beef Taco and the Mango Shrimp taco.. the beef was nice and fresh with cold toppings on top.. The mango shrimp were nicely fried and lightly battered and cooked to perfection.. the toppings and sauces complimented the toppings well and had a very nice crisp and savory flavor when the taco's hit the taste buds. I will definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu soon! The Staff were friendly and answered my questions about the menu and were very helpful.

This could be the greatest staff in all of Southern BC. Patient, kind, humorous. Not only can they explain the different items and their ingredients, they can describe exactly how it all tastes. To which they are 100% accurate! The six of us played community food, but what's the point here? All the poutine was awesome. Oh well, it's fun to share. Yes, get The Gaucho "Cowboy", but also try the Butter Chicken, Vegetarian Chili and my favourite, the Le Montreal. ALL the poutines rocked! The burgers are juicy and full of flavour. This group has found a way to marry all the flavours so they complement each other all through the meal until the end. Portion size was another crazy, happy surprise. So much so that the cost no longer matters (as you may have guessed, the cost was reasonable). Still, if it's just a couple of you, you might go regular as opposed to jumbo...unless you're thinking late night leftovers. We pigged-out and didn't get a chance to reheat this food. Mistake on my part. 05/25

Been a year or so since we have been out to this restaurant and finally got the hubby to agree to…read moredrive out for a date night. Get a little dressed up have a great meal and maybe dessert and a coffee. We got there as a 2 top and was walked past multiple empty booths and sat in an open more pub like dinning area. I just assumed that the server in the dinning area was at limit of tables. It's chilly in this area so I kept my coat on and saw that the people at the table next to us kept theirs on too. There is a birthday? Bachelorette? In the corner. This will be relevant later. So we sit and my husband ordered a Guinness and I a Diet Coke. He brings the drinks and there is no head on the Guinness, there is none of that carbonation in the beer. So he takes our food order and my husband comments on beer and the server said that the beer was poured correctly. That they poured half let it sit then poured the rest. My husband said ok but there is no head? And they replied well I don't know it was poured correctly and left. Ok not overly impressed but I've eaten the food. It's my cheat night. I have a pulled pork sandwich with Caesar salad. The table next to us gets their food. The one woman at the table picks at her fries and is commenting how bad the sandwich is. The other two men weren't impressed either with their food. The party in the corner is getting loud. The server drops a new drink to me unprompted which I love. And hubby orders a bottled beer. He then goes to the next table to pick up dishes and I hear the woman say ya I don't know what that is but it is not pulled pork. Hubby looks to me and starts to laugh. So server takes all their stuff walks away. And I said noooo please tell me it's not the pulled pork? She said like pulled pork is bbq. There was no bbq. Also nothing was pulled it was a solid piece of I'm not sure what but I think it was fish?? I'm sad, but hopeful that it was just a mistake and I'll get the right order. She has to raise her voice to speak as the party table is well having a party.. Our food comes and I immediately open the sandwich and it's a solid piece of white meat. I say oh hold on. And he's like yes? I said this isn't pulled pork? There is no cheese? That's shredded lettuce not cabbage and there is so much sauce the white bread not sourdough is soaked. The salad came with no dressing? They say ok so you don't want it? what would you like? And I said I don't know can I have a menu? So he walks off to get one. Hubby opens his sandwich and it's not right either. His is the farmhouse chicken sandwich. This was also not even close to right. There was no cheese, it was not layered roast chicken it was rotisserie chicken that oddly enough was ripped up like pulled pork??? The sauce was mayo not a creamy herby cheese sauce. Although it did have the bacon, lettuce but no tomato. The server returned hubby shows him that his is missing things and wrong and he says so you don't want it either? Hubby says no I'm hungry but your kitchen is messing up allot. The server then looked at me and said find anything on the menu. Like oblivious to what hubby just said and I said. No I'm good. Honestly I was scared what would come out. Hubby finishes and we ask for the bill. The party girls now have shots The server proudly walks up and says don't worry I got your meal removed from the bill. You can pay at the front. So I looked thinking that they removed hubby's because mine wasn't even eaten and sent back and his was completely wrong. No they removed my meal. Nothing for the fact the hubby's meal was wrong. I debated writing this for over a week but the whole thing was so bad I don't want someone else to waste their gas, time and money. I got dressed up for date night to sit in a cold pub area with a party, the girls did nothing wrong, but the atmosphere was just wrong. The new owners have absolutely destroyed what was once an amazing restaurant

But I searched around and couldn't find any mention of it on the internet. When I did a boarder search, I saw the truck at the Calgary Stampede in 2011, but after that it disappeared again. Unfortunately, it was crazy crowded and loud at the Jazz Festival that I couldn't really stop and ask about the business much. While $10 is a slightly steep price to pay for a poutine in a city blessed with La Belle Patate, I thought for what it was (a food truck, catering to a big crowd of festival go-ers at just the right place and time), it certainly hit the spot. The portions were good, the gravy was delicious, and the cheese curds nice and squeeky. I ordered the Quebecor, which comes with maple syrup and thought it was a good taste, but certainly not for those looking for savoury. Apparently all the savoury options that looked appetizing were already swept up by the earlier crowds. The truck is large and well decorated, I love the look it has! The only odd thing about the place is the way the ordering system works. I put in an order at one end of the truck, and get a receipt. But I take this receipt and literally walk two steps to around a corner and hand it to someone at a second window on the side. Mind you, they're all in the same truck, so they're probably right beside each other. This person takes the ticket and makes my order. If the lady at the register didn't turn around and call me to out the food station window to hand over my ticket, I'd probably be standing there a long time... I took half-decent photos on my phone, but there seems to be some better photos of the truck on the yycbesteats website: http://www.yycsbesteats.com/day-5-calgary-stampede-food-review-la-poutinerie/
