I just don't get it. It's a mediocre burger at best, and the dining room has no ambiance.

Good burgers but definitely pricey for what you get. I like the customization and all the add ons. I have had occasions where the meat falls apart too much to where you have plenty of bites that are only bread. The regular burger is two patties of meat (very large). I normally get the small with only one patty. If you get fries, only get one order per two people maybe three. They are huge orders!! Decent little burger joint. Nothing spectacular, but the burger was really good, especially if you are looking for a change from the normal burger place. I ate the double with onions and mushrooms, I must admite they did not hold back on either. I was very pleased. This is a warning to Five Guys ... Stop shrinking the patties! I have been to this Five Guys probably twice (maybe three times) in the past six months. I noticed it once or twice, but just a few weeks ago confirmed that the burgers have been sliced in half. Five Guys ONLY sells burgers for $8 because of the size of the greasy patty. If you cut that in half, I might as well go buy a McDouble for $1 (which I have done a dozen times since). So ... word of warning, stop before everybody else catches on. I'm not paying $40 for three 1/8 pounders and three pounds of fries (and stale peanuts) anymore. read more

There's no in n out in the south, so five guys is the next best thing. One time we were given a military discount, next time they didnt, it was inconsistent but no big deal. Food is always good, Cajun fries are preferred. Not always super clean but we make due. read more

Every time I've gone to Five Guys they have always gotten my orders correct. The wait has been very minimal and I love being able to watch them prepare the food. A couple of times I've gotten group orders for our office and the orders have still been correct. Very satisfied!! read more

We eat out a lot, and are not afraid to try out new places. No matter how good some of these places are, there are usually things that bring down my opinion of the overall experience. Five Guys is not one of these places. Delicious, succulent, burgers, with your choice of a dozen condiments you can add to suit your individual taste. The best french fries I have ever tasted (except maybe for my own), and I can get them with no salt (I hate heavy handed salters, who can ruin perfectly good fries). Call me weird, but I think it's a good thing to be able to see my food being cooked, and how it is being cooked, and by whom. I have eaten at this establishment several times. I was not a fan of the cajun fries, it was just fries with cajun season sprinkled on it, but you cannot complain about size of portions, one order is big enough to feed two. I have never tried the hot dogs, but the burgers are excellent; really enjoyed the variety of toppings at no extra charge. Have recommended to several friends, they loved it too. read more

I ate there along time ago and remember not liking it. I went back today thinking it may have gotten better but I was wrong. It was $8.00 bucks for a dried up hamburger and then they charged me $4 bucks for fries and $3 bucks for drink. Kind of expensive for a dried up hamburger and soggy fries. Staff seemed upset as they showed no eye contact and were very short when I asked about an item on the menu. Maybe they are better else where but I won't be going back to this one. Pretty good burger. Fries just aren't that good but they give you enough for 4 adults with each regular order. Service is below average. It's not Mighty Fine Burgers in Austin TX. I'll tell ya that much. read more

I did not like it all. It had absolutely no taste at all. Sorry to give it such a bad review. Although I'm sure people will still support them no matter what I say if they like it. They are too pricey for the quality of food. It was really unmemorable for me. I just know I didn't like it. I do remember the fries were nothing special and I didn't like the fact that they just threw them in the bottom of the bag I have a little OCD and that bothered me. Yuck!!!!! What is the hype with Five Guys!!!! Backyard is way better. Choice of two types of fries which are both good and burgers taste home made and a whole combo is cheaper. But just to throw this out guys if you are ever in Biloxi, MS and want a good burger go to "Mug Shots" by far the best I have ever had. Get the McDonald and the beer battered fries. yummy. After hearing about the fact that our beloved President Obama often frequents Five Guys near The White House, and the fact that it recently won a national poll of the best hamburger restaurant, I finally got a chance to try it on a recen trip to the Gulf coast visiting Gulfport, MS and New Orleans. My best friend had forewarned me about the peanuts and the greasy fries. He is the type to often finish whatever leftovers I have on my plate. However, even he could not finish the fries. I wasn't overly hungry so I was happy that they had a "little hamburger". Unfortunately, after raised expectations and frustration that there was apparently no Five Guys in the San Francisco Bay Area, I really was hoping to love these burgers. I can only report a mild appreciation for Five Guys. I had a " little cheeseburger". The cheese tasted like that horrible imitation nacho cheese. I wish I had ordered just a plain burger. Surprisingly, I found the french fries, though very greasy with a huge portion, to be quite delicious. We shared an order between two people and still left about an 1/8th on our greasy brown paper bag. After eating 2/3rds of my "little cheeseburger", I looked forward to finishing off the serving of peanuts we had gotten as "an appetizer". Suggestion: it may not be a good idea to serve free peanuts because the oiliness can ruin your appetite. At least, it wasn't good for mine. After all that, my friend did reveal that there IS indeed a Five Guys in the South Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area about a half hour out of the city. I will give Five Guys one more try. Finally, trying to understand why President Obama likes Five Guys my best friend thought it was a publicity ploy to give him the perception of being an everyday guy, and not the "arugula" eating yuppie the rethugs tried to portray him as. I also offered that according to the Bill Press show, President Obama is a "comfort food foodie" when he is on the road, all too eager to try local delicacies. Should I ever have the good fortune to turning President Obama onto San Francisco local eateries, I might suggest "The Perfect Hamburger" in the theater district......I think they leave Five Guys one guy short. read more
