It's funny how two different people could have such completely different experiences at the same place. Like John A. from Holbrook, I too, had heard about how great the burgers and fries are at Five Guys. The thing is, I have heard that same sort of claim from so many burger places over the years, from places that always ended up disappointing me. Not that the burgers at places like Cheeburger, Cheeburger, or Fatburger were bad...they just weren't the "awesome" that I was hoping for. So, when I walked into Five Guys for the first time, I figured I was might be let down again. Maybe I would even have an experience similar to John A.'s. However, when all was said and done, I had finally found a burger that was...awesome! During my visit, the place was about half-filled with people that were a mix of all ages. There is an entrance in the back, which might be a handy shortcut for the High School behind Five Guys, but I only saw two younger people walk through without ordering anything, and neither of them caused any kind of problem. On my visit, the restaurant was very clean. There was no mess on any of the tables and there was no food or garbage on the floor. The person who took our order (who admittedly wasn't a "kid") was very nice, and we definitely got service with a smile. Also, I'm a little bit confused about the confusion that John A. had with the menu. Basically you pick the burger you want (Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Burger, Bacon Cheeseburger, Little Hamburger, Little Cheeseburger, Little Bacon Burger, Little Bacon Cheeseburger), and then you pick the toppings you want on it, that's it. As for the wait, ours was about six or seven minutes, which I don't think is too long for freshly cooked food. As for the burger, it was well-done, but still incredibly juicy (I don't know how they pull off that little piece of magic), and it tasted awesome! The fries were also fantastic. Let's see... it's burgers, that are better then any of the other local places in town/area and that includes all the fast food that is on "Fast Food Alley" - Route 231/DPA!!! Every time, the burger is FRESH, HOT and topped with what I want, not some BS in a box that got nuked once you paid! What food establishment serves a burger with a wet bun. We ordered through DoorDash. The burger arrived wet and soggy. The shake was watery flat. We tried calling but we were hung up on. The coke was expired no carbonation. And the worst part of it all is the food looks like it was tampered with. Please use extreme caution when ordering from this establishment. The workers they have aren't trained for cleanliness, hygiene, or sanitary protocols. And the Dasher did not have a mask nor gloves on. The corporate office should retrain the manager who's in charge of these workers. The fault goes to the management. read more

Five Guys is Five Guys = very good juicy burger. Have order a buch of times for pick-up here. Fantastic! You order all (even specific toppings) via their mobile site and when I get there ( I always say ASAP for pickup time ;) the food is hot and just off the grill for me. I usually get the "little" bacon cheeseburger with lite topping of sautéed mushrooms (FYI, the little=regular size and in reality pretty good sized), hubby the regular version (double patties) with caramelized onions and small fries to share. Unless it's pigout night, hubby usually can't finish his huge burger but he always orders it coz of his mantra "more is always better than less" - sigh! I like this location. I always get the veggie sandwich, but here, the cashier (I forgot his name) asked if I want my pickles grilled. Fact 1: I've never been asked this question before. Fact 2: I will forever more ask for grilled pickles. Grill all the pickles! Grill all the veggies! THEY GRILLED ALL MY VEGGIES AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. Also, cheese. And also, unlimited peanuts. And that crazy-make-five-million-and-one-drink-concoctions soda machine. Plus, Five Guys has the best fast foodie french fries that exist on the planet (That's Fact 3). I wish this place would come up with a black bean burger or something like that, but I respect it isn't their jam and they're more about the OG burger and fry game. I get it. Their veggie sammie is filling and their fries can feed two - three people for a small serving. Friendly service here too, because, I mean...I would never have thought to ask for grilled pickles. When I want something absolutely decadent to eat, I sneak away from my wife and come here and chow down. The burgers and fries are so good that if someone told me that there was crack in the food I would believe it. The person taking orders is always very nice. The place is clean. The standing around and waiting for the food is annoying but I understand the deal. One of the funniest things ever is that on the 5 or so times i have been here there has been the same group of 6 middle aged weirdos sitting with drinks eating large quantities of the complementary peanuts. My go to burger place. Use the app and your food is ready when you get there. I love the fries--you either love or hate the fresh cut fries. Shakes are good. I have enjoyed Five Guy's burgers and fries for awhile now. For anyone who's interested, the name comes from the company founder's nod to his then five young sons, who now as adults work within the FG corp structure. What's not to like about a place that makes their fries fresh, right from the sacks of potatoes on pallets right inside their dining rooms! The free salted peanuts (in the shell) you can snack on while waiting for your order are another nice touch. On a recent visit to this particular FG franchise, I ordered a medium Cajun fries to go. Unfortunately I didn't check them before leaving, and had gone a few blocks down the road before discovering they were only about half-cooked. I suspect the cooking oil hadn't hit its target temperature, and therefore wasn't hot enough when they were dropped in . . . At any rate I returned to complain. Amid many apologies, the manger was quickly summoned and not only was another order prepared, but they upgraded the size to a large! The manager said he made them personally, and they were indeed up to the standards I have come to expect from FG. Kudos to this FG franchise in general, and its manager in particular, for resolving the matter quickly and with excellent customer service! read more

Customer service was decent but the wait can be a little long at times. Been to this place 2x. Ate in once and took out once. Bag was dripping with grease but its a hamburger. Probably the worst service EVER! I came in at about 8:30 PM and after looking at the overhead menu for maybe 2-3 minutes and giving my order to the cashier, I was then told "we have no meat". Really? You're a hamburger joint. They said it would be at least 20 minutes to prep the new meat. The two young men that were working the front were fooling around, joking with each other and just NOT professional at all. I ended up ordering a vegetable burger that was supposed to be GRILLED onions, mushrooms and peppers, lettuce, tomato and cheese. After waiting about 15 minutes I saw them getting my "burger" ready. There were about 3 mushrooms on the burger. The onions were cooked nicely, but the peppers were actually raw. Bright green, crunchy, and RAW!!! I even questioned the young man and he said "yeah, thats yours." There was a young lady there that did ask of I wanted her to remake it but I declined. I couldnt wait around any longer. You would think that when rhey started to make my sandwich they would have made sure they had fries that were ready to go, but no. After my burger was "ready" that is when they decided to drop the fries. I asked about the process of prepping the meat and they told me its a very long process... They had to weigh the meat and press each patty. I guess they couldn't take the first patty they pressed and put it on the grill for me. There had to be at least 10 customers that came in and left because of "no meat". Maybe its me, but I would think that when you see you're getting low on meat you would start prepping more especially since your main menu item is burgers. NOT wait until you are totally out of meat. Needless to say, I will not be visiting this location again. The last time I was at 5 Guys was the beginning of December in Times Square in a crowded, jammed packed restaurant. The store appeared clean and the staff who took my order was very friendly. They make the burgers to order; you pick your toppings and condiments. We ordered a double bacon cheese burger, regular cheese burger an a small fry. The regular cheese burger was delicious and perfectly prepared!!! . They were a bit skimpy with the bacon on the burger ; it only had a few crumbles of bacon. We were very disappointed especially with the extra cost of the bacon. The fries were not hot and it was not the normal small fry size. We definitely feel they were left over fries and NOT MADE TO ORDER! Five stars for customer service. The ENTIRE staff is courteous, friendly, and a pleasure to do business with. I rarely eat here. Maybe once or twice a year since they've opened. Yet every time I've come in the staff, from the person running the counter to the guy that hands you your food at the end, is always attentive and helpful and has a big smile on their face. It's almost always different people working there every time I go in but that's mostly due to the infrequency. They seem to hire people that enjoy their jobs and are outgoing. The food itself is exactly what you expect. It's a national chain and this location delivers the same consistency and presentation you'll get anywhere in the country. read more

Great burger and good fries. Hamburger is freshly ground beef and grilled not microwaved. You get to choose from a wide selection of toppings. The fries are tasty especially the Cajun flavored.
