It is a captivating piece of Jersey. It is well epitomized by The Hot Dog Shack and its menu board of more than two dozen customized frankfurter possibilities. I was Anthony's first customer of the day, and he treated me well. I went with his Chicago Dog (see photo) which came as described and was a mouthful to consume. I had to apply pressure and squeeze this creation down to a size that fit into my mouth from first bite to last. All beef wiener, potato roll and a side table for garnish. He even made me a cup of coffee on the house. Fun deliciousness all the way. And the surrounding buildings were just as charming and worthy of closer inspection. The cafe next door had some worthy looking baked goods that would have made a nice dessert had I the time to sit in their lovely parlor and indulge. Next time, for sure. I also had a fascinating conversation while I ate my hot dog, with Anthony's friend, Steve, who had been a minor league baseball star both in the USA and Europe. I saw old clippings about his success, and compared notes about living overseas; he as an athlete. Me as a student and businessman. That conversation made my day. So, although I stopped by for a hot dog, I left with something even more priceless - a totally unexpected meeting that was richer than I could have imagined when I woke up this morning. 5 Stars for the Dog and Conversation.

The onions weren't really sautéed as much as I like either. The beans and mac were unfortunately some of the most flavorless sides I've had in a long time. The beans almost had a sour taste. If you are used to Bush's Baked Beans these aren't it for you. Tenders were ok and thank goodness the tots were right. Other than that I'll probably continue my search for a good local hot dog joint.

They picked a perfect spot in Bristol Borough that they seemed to have partnered with Naked Brewing on. If you have kids the downstairs area is ok, but with live music I had to take my son upstairs to preserve our hearing! We found parking in the large municipal lot behind the building. Upstairs we found cozier seating at a high top table with service. Downstairs I believe you have to walk up to the bar or just sit at the bar for service. I also don't believe the full beer menu is available downstairs. The menu is full of tempting toppings and styles with your choice of regular/footlong dogs, hot sausage or kielbasa. I had a hot sausage with pepper hash and coleslaw. It had a snappy skin, decent heat and was delicious when paired with the sweet coleslaw and pepper hash. My friend ordered frank and tots and reported it to be delicious and filling. My son had a regular dog and we all shared a big pretzel with beer cheese. I had an IPA named Thank Frank that was about average for a West Coast style IPA and my pal had a couple of their darker offerings that he wasn't impressed with. Our server was nice and gave a great recommendation to add the pepper hash. She wasn't the fastest at coming to check on our beers so we bailed. I had one and she never asked if I wanted another and never refilled our waters. Prices weren't too bad. I would definitely return for some more of the interesting creations on the dawg menu, but the brews are really nothing special. Good solid time here and kid friendly, not so great service or beer.

This is reviewed for what Stewart's is - quick serve, kitschy kind of place. The root beer was great as always. Nice and cold. It just tastes better in a glass mug for some reason. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich for the very first time ever. I was nervous because the California burger is my go to. I ordered it with lettuce, tomato, and 1000 island dressing. It was better than I expected. It had two thin pieces of chicken breast, which was a decent portion. The chicken was dry. I would order it again if I'm looking for a healthier option. Fries were meh. I don't think the portion size was large enough to share. The flavor was lacking and didn't to make me want to order them again. Maybe upgrading to cheese fries is the way to go.

Parking lots well maintain lots of spots to park and eat. Typical Stewart's type driving food... Burgers hot dogs cheesesteaks root beer etc. This one has some pork roll sandwiches as well. Prices for the burgers are a little stiff but maybe you're paying for the nostalgia. I always enjoy the fries and burgers and chili dogs! Root beer is delicious.

I have been hearing the buzz about this truck. So, I am glad I was able to stop by for a visit…read moretoday. For those who aren't sure where to find D's Italian Hotdogs, the truck is located at the Country Club Plaza in Willingboro (not far from the Dunkin Donuts, Produce Market and other businesses in the plaza). I walked up to the truck and viewed the menu. I immediately saw "Italian Hotdogs" and knew I had made the right decision. I grew up in North Jersey and probably had an Italian Hotdog once a week throughout my childhood and early adulthood. So, whenever I see the option amongst other sandwiches, I immediately go for it. Thus, I ordered 3 double Italian Hotdogs bc I knew I needed to share the love with my husband and grandma. The owner stated it would be a little wait for the potatoes. No worries, fresh food is always a plus for me. I ran back to my car to get out of the pouring rain. About 10 mins later, the gentleman called me over to let me know my food was ready. Surprisingly, the sandwiches came with chips and he even threw in a small bag of cookies. That small gesture went a long way bc my grandma loves cookies (especially famous Amos cookies). Upon arriving back to my house. I unwrapped my Italian hotdog and immediately smiled. The potatoes were covered in a nice layer of ketchup. The bread was so soft I could see my fingerprints in it. As I bit into the sandwich I could see the multiple layers of potatoes, onions, peppers, and hotdogs. Everything was delicious. I assume my husband and granny felt the same way bc they both finished their sandwiches before I ate half of mine. Will I return to D's Italian Hotdogs?! Absolutely!!!

I was able to park on the street about two blocks away and amble over to Naked Brewing Bristol Taproom. Short walk. Beautiful day. The brewery is mid-block on the west side of the street, looking its age as a late 19th Century enterprise. Bar in back. Tables up front and to the side, with wall shelves and stools for the sometimes SRO crowd. Live music in the basement from local bands. I sat at the bar, served by several lovelies who were in total control and set the vibe. I went with a 7 oz Mango Starfighter was a slightly sour/sweet beer with turmeric coloration. Liked it. But, what drew me to Naked was their collaboration with Cheese Dawgs who ran the kitchen with a primary menu of creative hot dogs at reasonable prices. Burgers, salads and sandwiches were likewise available. I chose their Philly Dog (mustard, pepper hash, onions) and New England (Boston baked beans). Both were tasty, fun and drip worthy. The frankfurters weren't all beef, but they were good enough. The rolls held their contents, but for the over abundance of ingredients spilling over the top. I asked for a spoon to handle that, and a server promptly obliged with a smile. But for the absence of tater tots and fries, I would have preferred an Italian Hot Dog, but it was a very busy day, and I wouldn't hold that against them for running out of some supplies. I had a decent conversation with both another customer and the beermaids, so all in all it was a pleasant and delicious afternoon. 5 Naked Stars for this surprisingly comfortable beer hall
