It was my first time at this location. The access is easy, parking is not an issue and the place is big and can handle heavy traffic! I like the colours and interior design which is a bit old fashioned and that's why I like it. The customer service was great and the staff were efficient and polite! I watched the staff for a while. They handled the heavy traffic and pick up orders pretty good and efficiently. The food was great! Buns were soft and fresh. The patty tasted like high quality homemade patty. And on top of that, the fries were the best!!! I would say that I had a rather good experience here recently. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, as I like to expect from a Five Guys restaurant, but the location was clean and well kept. There was even a nearby Pokestop for my Pokemon GO playing needs! Close to a movie theatre, this is a great place before a film. There is ample parking and a good amount of seating area. I was very hungry and devoured my fries, bacon cheeseburger, and lots of peanuts while I sipped at my iced tea. Perhaps the only downside of my visit is that the toilet didn't seem to be flushing terribly well and was on the way to becoming completely clogged, but that's specific to my one visit rather than to this location in general, I would imagine. read more

I came in after a long time, I've been boycotting this franchise for years. Thought I might give it another try. Sadly, I will continue to boycott. This particular location was super slow, the manager was yelling at her staff in front of customers and when the food was presented (mine was to-go) it was plunked in front of me, they walked away and the food was smashed into a bag: fries every where, the burger was the wrong one and not even wrapped properly. Part of it was hanging out oozing grease all over my car. I honestly, did not want to return there -even to get the right burger, choosing instead to just never, EVER return. The beef of the burger -yes, was cooked properly, however it had no flavour and was not even a pattie, it was crumbly and fell out when i tried to pick it up. Now, the french fries, those were done perfectly, seasoned just right and I would highly recommend those alone. But....if it means stepping foot back in there, no go. In the lineup are buckets of peanuts to much on while you decide what to have! I always go with the mini cheeseburger. The regular size is far too big for me, especially with those fries! I've never been to Five Guys Burgers before so it was an experience. The burgers are good and fries are great. I asked for a cloth the clean the table, something I don't mind doing at all as they were busy, but they insisted on cleaning it. I actually liked the music that they played which was a surprise. I can't image eating there but once a year, or I'd have to buy stretchy pants, but it was an interesting change. They dump the fries into the bag on top of the wrapped burgers and you can help yourself to peanuts but can't take any with you. Both facts I found amusing for some reason. Favourite Five Guys location in Edmonton. The food is always consistent and the fries are always well cooked (I find that at other locations I've gone to, sometimes their fries haven't been cooked all the way through and have a raw taste). Also, the staff are very friendly and courteous and do their best to move the orders through quickly. I'm always happy when I visit here :) Edit: the milkshakes are very good, and what I didn't originally realise is that you can combine more than one flavour in a milkshake. Parking is ok at this location and it is a decent size location. I was well received by the main cashier who told me that the non 'little' size meant there was double patties. There is a wide variety of toppings which are all free. You can also eat peanuts while you wait, cute idea but not my thing. The price for a burger, fries, and large pop was around 18.00. So its certainly on the higher side for fast food. The food doesn't come out as fast as BK or Carl's Jr or McDonald's. They throw in a ton of fries on top of what you already get. I had the Cajun flavour fries, they were not bad, but had a lot seasoning so it was kind of overwhelming. The burger itself was not bad, I still prefer smashburger out of any burger in YEG and area. It was a little bit watery and I didn't like how they did the bacon, but it wasn't that bad. Overall, service was good, food doesn't come out super quick, but that's not a big deal. I prefer this location (Windermere) over the South Common one just because it seems to be less jam packed all of the time and it is more convenient for me. Parking isn't the greatest out front but there is a lot of it in the general vicinity if you can't find a spot near the doors. If you like a good burger you'll like it here. Why not 5 stars? Mostly the cost--it is a bit on the expensive side for fast food. If I'm going to spend this much money on a meal I'd rather go to a sit down restaurant and make an experience out of it. When they say their burgers are best, they ain't kidding! OMG, these cheese and bacon gifts from above will have you coming back time and time again! They are an American chain burger joint that has been around for many years now, but only somewhat recently arrived in the Edmonton region. Then there's the fries! Wow. These guys know what they're doing when it comes to burgers and fries, and they grill it right there in front of you, rather than popping it in some sorta steamer machine or microwave like some other fast food joints. But I wouldn't even call this a fast food joint, in comparison, although the service is quicker than those sit-down burger places. The look of the place is not meant to be warm and cozy or even inviting...they want you in and out, because there's ALWAYS a line-up for their ridiculously-good comfort food. Don't expect to find an extensive menu, a playground for the kiddies, or a drive-thru, because they are all about the food and nothing else. To keep you busy while waiting in line there are sacks of complimentary peanuts at your disposal.
