We've been to this location a number of times and it's always been great! The staff are nice, location is clean, food is always hot and pretty tasty! Today we ordered through Skip the Dishes and my review is mostly about my particular item. We ordered a regular burger, fries, vanilla shake for my spouse and I ordered a Burger Bowl (yup, it's a thing!) with extra extra pickles, lettuce, tomato, and sauces on the side. Yes, I know it's incredibly boring, but that's what I ordered. I'm also taking the boringness into consideration for this review. I guess what I expected would have been similar to what I had seen online when I looked this menu item up. The bowls looked pretty good! More of a "burger salad" type of thing with lots of lettuce and tomatoes. Well....what I got was beyond boring. Hardly any lettuce, only 2 small slices of tomato, and the extra extra pickles, were 4 more slices. I ate it, it tasted fine. I guess I just expected a little more lettuce and tomatoes to make it a bit "fuller". I'd try it again and ask for extra extra extra of everything though I guess. I also understand that restaurant pics are always doctored up to look amazing, but the pics I saw online were from other customers and their bowls were pretty impressive. My expectations were set lower, but it was pretty disappointing with what was served. Hopefully this is a one off, and it won't happen again. This experience won't stop us from having Five Guys again in the future as we still like their food. read more

The burgers are very good! The free roasted peanuts are a nice touch. More expensive burgers than other fast food restaurants, but the burgers taste homemade. The burgers come with 2 patties which is neat, and a lot of topping options. read more

I like Five Guys, but being a Celiac, a messy lettuce wrapped burger is not super fun. A GF bun would be a great addition to the menu.

Staff was very nice & friendly, they were somewhat busy around 5pm when we went there. we ordered 2 cheeseburgers, 1 hotdog, regular cajun fries and a milkshake, total was around $46 including tips. peanuts kept us occupied while waiting. service is good, food is good. its a treat once in a while but i wouldn't go often bec of the price, and the fact that its hard not order a milkshake whenever we go there. read more

Some people swear by Five Guys burgers. First off, you shouldn't swear. Second, the burgers aren't that great (squishy bun, flavourless sauces, weird mushrooms). Go ahead if you must but that's not why I come here. The fries. Oh, the fries! That's where the money's at. My routine is to come in and walk up to the till. Before they can throw a bun on the grill to toast, I boldly explain that all I want is fires. Little fries with Cajun seasoning to be exact. Confused, they ask if I want a burger or a drink with that - as if their fries alone are not good enough. "No, no," I reply. "Just the fries." They cook their fries fresh to order. Available with regular or Cajun seasoning, they have separate bays to ensure the seasonings don't mix (it helps protect the uninitiated from the flavour overload that is the Cajun). Paired with ketchup, the spice creates the perfect fry for the flavour-loving, non-swearing type. For just under $4, you receive a cup of fries and - AND- an additional container's worth of glorious peanut oil-cooked fries tossed into the bag. Usually there is more in the bag than the cup. Sit, dip and enjoy. With such love, why only 3 stars at this location? Inconsistency. If you order while they are busy you may receive only half of what you would during a slow afternoon. We finally got to try this place and were super impressed! We are always disappointed when we try out burger places that end up just using frozen or industrial patties. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that Five Guys makes their patties fresh, and their fries too! I ordered the Little Bacon Cheeseburger because 1 patty was enough for me. The bun was good, the jalapenos I ordered for mine DELICIOUS. My husband had a normal burger and was stuffed after the two patties. The burgers are a little crispy on the outside and so juicy inside which is just how I love them. The bacon was crispy and went perfectly with all the veggies I had on my burger. I was disappointed that the cheese was just pre sliced like Velveeta instead of real cheddar. We appreciate that you can order any toppings you want, and as many as you want, including so many options for sauces. We decided to split a large fries. They gave us a large fries plus a ton more tossed into the bag. These home made russet chips were AMAZING. And I loved that they had vinegar there too You have a choice to have your fries seasoned with salt or "Cajun", which I would like to try next time. We split a Peanut Butter milkshake and were honestly blown away. The milkshakes are so thick and full of flavour. They beat out any other milkshake I've ever had including Soda Jerks. Our meal was just under $30 and totally worth even penny! We will definitely be back... This is our new favourite burger spot! read more

I do like Five Guys. I like them even more for the fact they are offering bunless burgers. I also like the peanuts they offer while waiting for the order to be called. My husband loves their milk shakes. The only thing that I feel they should work on is improving on the bunless option- they might have to use a different type of salad leaf or cheese wrap that is gluten free. read more

The milkshakes were so good I loved how you can smell it outside and the kitchen is right next to the tables so you can smell the food cooking and they give you half way big burgers and they give you extra fries. It's the worst burger place. Tonight I got my order messed up once again. What happened tonight was I ordered a cheese burger with toppings and BBQ sauce. The one took the order did not repeat the BBQ sauce. I specifically asked again; she did not punch the BBQ sauce into the order. When my order was ready I asked if there was BBQ sauce in it. They guy said no. I was so mad. I yelled out that I asked the small Asian girl twice but she did not care and did not listen. They manager or the supervisor just stared at me and gave me a dirty look and said "Wow!" Seriously, this place needs a better manager or they'll lose customers. I love five guys burgers and fries, but every single location seems to have an issue with accommodating a mayo allergy. First I got the gluten-free option instead of special prep. Then I got my burger with half the toppings I had ordered. Finally I get my burger the way I ordered it with a dab of mayo on the side of the tomato. In the time it took them to waste slaughtering half of a cow, two whole sets of customers cycled through. A customer should not be made to feel wasteful just because they have food allergies. All 5guys locations in Edmonton and Area have messed up this request at least once, but this location took the cake. All their staff need proper training and should know not all requests are preference, but actually due to allergies as well. Other than the manager coming to take my order after the 2nd screw up, no refund or proper care was offered or given. Finally got my burger and it was delicious. Even just checking in to make sure all was well would have been appreciated. I'm sick of all restaurants accommodating vegetarians or vegans because it's trendy, but providing 0 care for allergies. What was supposed to be fast food turned into an almost hour long ordeal. 0/10 would not visit this location again. It should be right on the 1st burger, not the forth. The wait is usually long because it is a busy location. The burgers are alright, not really put together but what do you expect from a fast food place like that. Their milkshakes are very good, definitely worth a try. One thing I love the most about Five Guys is the fact if you order large fries, the order seems like you got extra large fries. They don't cheap out on the amount of fries they put in your bag, definitely a plus. They're of course very tasty as well, perfectly salted and fried. read more

Went to 5 guys a few days ago with my hubby and we were impressed with the the quick service. It's a casual atmosphere where you place your order at the till and they will call your number for pick up. The staff was friendly. The burgers were great and I especially loved the salted Carmel milkshake! A must try is you like milkshakes at all. The prices were pretty good ... not cheap but they aren't overpriced in my opinion. The food is basically made to order. It is cool to see the sacks of potatoes along the wall ready for the staff to chop up for fries. read more

What a joke the worst Five Guys I ever visited and my last Fist I arrived around 2:37 on a Monday to find the restaurant empty with three staff behind the counter. Once my order was taken the same person started to make our burgers, the two other went in to back The place was dirty, all the tables looked to have spills and debris from previous diner The continue to prepare our burger would also break away to take orders when others came in The fountain machine flavours were mixed up. The Diet Coke had regular coke in it It took 25 minutes for our number to be called. My bun was dry so asked staff if the fix that. They have milkshakes, enough said. Probably the most busy location I've been to, since they are of smaller size. But consistently the same as the other YEG locations. But as I've said they have milkshakes with no limits on their ingredients, and no other location in Edmonton offers them. read more

Now this is how a burger and fries should be made. Fresh patties with a good ratio of condiments. Fries are simply the best although some options are a touch on the salty side. A regular order of fries is lots and feeds both of us. Milkshakes are to die for. All in all very good, worth the extra cost if you like quality and flavorful fast food. Not sure what the hype is about this place. Service was good and friendly, but food was mediocre. I could have made the same stuff at home and it would have tasted better. Plain Jane is how I'd describe the food. Also there wasn't a single clean table in the entire place. Every table was filthy and the place was far from busy. Not recommended. read more

Don't eat here unless you're looking for a mediocre burger you could easily make at home and wind up paying way too much for! My boyfriend and I ate here a few weeks ago and for two burgers and one large fries, it came out to about $20.
