    There's them peanuts.
    Samantha R.

If you like burgers, and making a mess, you'll like Five Guys. Tonight was actually my first time visiting one in Milwaukee. I remember the chain fondly from elsewhere. Their food is pretty straightforward, but it's always solid, and the atmosphere doesn't lack charm for being simple. They have in-shell peanuts out front you can grab. Of course having peanuts anywhere is courting controversy. But for the non-allergic it's definitely a plus. Of course it would be a mistake to fill up on the peanuts, because Five Guys' portions are pretty large. The smallest size of fries, the "little" is easily enough for one person, maybe and then some. A small would feed 2 or 3. I always get the regular sized burger, which has two patties, though you can get a smaller one. All the toppings are free. And I like toppings, but not ketchup, so I got my burger "all the way" with no ketchup. So I had some grilled mushrooms and onions and all that good stuff. But even the lettuce tasted really fresh. And their bun is genius. It actually holds everything together. So many fancy burgers are dripping and falling apart by the time you're halfway through. This one was still holding some stuff by the end. They give you your food in a paper bag and I'm pretty sure the way fries are spilling everywhere is deliberate. Between the peanut shells, the burger, and all those fries it can get messy. But I have messy-eater problems anyway. Some might consider the price a little high, because you order the fries separately and the sandwiches, while hardly wallet-busting, aren't cheap. You're still getting a lot of food, but I get it. And my fries were maybe a little dry but I still enjoyed the meal. I'll be back when I have a hankering for a burger.

Five Guys Coward Who refused to Give His Name

I had to get a quick lunch and Five Guys was close. Despite prior bad experience, I went in. After spending $32 for a hot dog, cheeseburger and fries, I went to get a drink from the drink dispenser. One wasn't working AT ALL, the other one was dispensing just seltzer water--no flavor or sweetness in the drink. I tried four different drinks and none were working. I brought it to the attention of a staff member who was irritated that someone complained. At the time, there was exactly one other customer in the restaurant. He came to the machine and asked which ones I tried. I told him and his response was "Oh, I never drink any of those." He pulled up a screen and it showed practically all of the drink cartridges needed to be replaced. I told him I was actually using the OTHER machine and that he would probably have to replace all the cartridges in that machine too. He said, "I don't have to do shit." I said, "What's your name?" He said, "Why?" I said, "I'd like to know who I am talking to." He said, "I don't have to give you my name." He then scurried to the back room like a rat retreating to his lair. When will I learn this place will NEVER be worth visiting???

The most important things to know before ordering at five guys: the little fry is enough, and order a grilled cheese with a burger patty instead of an original burger.

Five Guys does not disappoint. Sorry Five guys, you're delicious but absolutely, grossly overpriced. I haven't been to this one in a year, but it's crazy that prices have raised a whole $2 per item! Ugh. Still, so delicious. I never regret ordering. Everything is made to order and they're actually pretty fast. Employees were really nice. Free peanuts. So if you like nuts, well there you go. I've never been a fan of that or all the shells everywhere, but that isn't enough for me to take a star away. Delicious burgers. Delicious fries. Cant say too much about anything else because I haven't tried anything else. They're now serving milkshakes, which I reallywant to try.

As for any resident of Wisconsin, burgers matter a lot to me. With so many burger joints around, it's hard for any one location to stick out. Five Guy's delivers on every level and more. I don't have much to add on the chain itself, Five Guy's is renowned nationwide for their juicy burgers and plentiful fries. What I can say however is that this location specifically really goes above and beyond. I've been here quite a few times and every time the staff are friendly and beyond hardworking. If you want to see the strongest work ethic around walk into this location for the lunch rush and you'll see the employees taking orders and making burgers with demonic speed and precision. One story that sticks out to me is on one of my first trips to this location I ordered my burger with my respective toppings and my cashier just kind of looked at me and said: "you know you can double all of these toppings for free right?" My mind was blown and you bet yourself that I doubled everything on that burger and I still do to this day. My final tip is that even if you've been before there's a good chance you've never tried a shake from Five Guys. Do yourself a favor and do just that. My personal favorite is strawberry with banana but you can add as many ingredients as you want: go wild!

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! Everyone knows five guys it already well over priced, so you want to get your moneys worth!! This location is terrible, the burgers look flat and disgusting. The fries look day old re dipped in the hot grease. One 09/13/20 I spent $55 on a meal for my family and it wasn't worth it all! The milkshakes were runny, burgers flat. I didn't even have the toppings I asked for. Anything in Bayshore is crap!! I will stick to Mayfair location for everything from now on.

Thank you Five Guys! I needed a snack, special treat. That was the best Five Guys experience I have had in a long time! Order curbside pickup, everything came out hot fresh so hot the french fries burn my mouth a little, my bad.

Not impressed. The burger was just OK. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with everything on it. Mushrooms were inedible I had to pick them off. The bacon was crumbled almost like for a salad not burger type bacon. The fries were good and hot. There were 5 plus employees in the store but only 2 who were actually working. My cousin that works at Bayshore (second job) invited me and said he is buying. Kid does construction and makes $16.00 an hour. After I realized that my order alone is almost $15.00 I insisted I pay for mine. This is definitely not a $15.00 burger.

I love Five Guys. I have never had a bad experience, ever before this. However, tonight my wife ordered three hot dogs and two bacon burgers with the works for us. We went to pick up the order, and when we got home, sat down to enjoy our meal. The hot dogs were great, but the burgers were only beef and cheese. No lettuce, no tomatoes, no bacon, no onions, anywhere to be seen. At first we thought that we had placed our order incorrectly, but the printed order receipt taped to the bag showed our order as we had expected it. I called the restaurant to ask about it and but the person on the phone didn't seem to care at all. Hugely disappointing. Huge.

O m g. This was $9 In French fries. They didn't fill $9 worth of fries. Disappointed.

I stopped by for a scoop of mint chip custard and it was creamy, rich, cool, and delicious. But - really is there no bad day for custard? No, there isn't! This place is busy all year round, and for good reason. For the custard, there is usually a flavor of the day, plus the usual favorites, vanilla and chocolate, plus a sundae and shake of the month. A sign outdoors advertises the flavor of the day and a monthly menu of each flavor of the day is available online, if you want to plan ahead for your visit. If you've not been to this Milwaukee icon, it's a must-stop; the custard is really, really good. The retail store is set up like a 50s type diner, and there are plenty of folks ready to take your order. There is no seating indoors, just a few tables for standing-only to munch and chat. However, there is outdoor seating like a mini amphitheater on cement steps, and when the weather is nice, it is not unusual to see large groups of customers sitting outside eating ice cream or other treats or burgers. The menu also includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, shakes, malts, floats, and sundaes, too.

The staff were extremely friendly and quick to get our beers poured and our pretzel ready. They had music playing and some communal games available (bags, giant jenga, etc) on the lawn. It was a little tricky to see which end of the park this was at as there wasn't any guidance online. They mentioned a picnic area 3A on the signage in the park but we couldn't figure out how to get there at first. It would help if they have some of this info online so those unfamiliar with the area can find them a bit easier. Otherwise, always a great space with decent prices and excellent staff.
