I think they put cute decor in but it seemed run down. They had stark white lighting, the garbages were overflowing and didn't seem that clean or welcoming. We ordered a #5 potato half mozzarella and half hot dog and it was so good. The food was a 5/5 but everything else was a 2/5. The potato on the outside was so good and comforting, I recommend. We pass by Mochinut every time we go to Bayshore and we always drool at the sight of it, vowing to come back. Well, that day finally came! We came for a donut snack on a Saturday afternoon and it was definitely popular. There was a short line, which wasn't too bad of a wait at all. It looked like the donuts were very popular as most of them were missing, but were being replaced quickly with warm fresh ones. We opted to wait for one of these because I really wanted to try the Choco-Nana Granola donut. We also got an all-cheese hot Cheeto corndog because sweet and savory go great together! The wait for the food was probably around 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad at all. We picked a table outside as the indoor tables were all already taken. There is also a cute Instagrammable couch corner inside, but I'm sure that's always a favorite pick and usually very busy. The donut was FANTASTIC. It was light, fluffy, chewy, and so yummy. It had chocolate, banana, granola, and all great things. My only gripe is that it just feels too small for the price point. But as far as donuts go, this is very high up there and I would very gladly eat these over and over. The cheese dog was also similarly tasty. It was cheesy and crispy and paired really nicely with the sriracha mayo we opted for. Overall, a very yummy snack and well-kept place, but the price is the only deterring factor. read more

I was super excited to find a mochi donut store in Wisconsin! I lived in Asia for almost 10 years and mochi donuts were one of my favorite treats. The donuts here weren't as chewy as the ones in Asia, but they were nice and light at just the right amount of sweetness. The boba was good too! Date of visit: September 16, 2023 As you may have seen in other reviews, the lines here have been crazy long since they opened so I was taking my time trying this place out. They still have some kinks to work out, but I am glad that they are having such success! The line is really the issue here; they have a nice rope line but none of the staff helps the customers utilize it. I tried to position myself off to the side in hopes that the next folks in line would take my lead and queue off to the right but the concept was foreign to them and the line just went out the door needlessly. Oh well! I went with a three pack of Thai Tea, Heath, and Ube. I appreciated the explanation from the staff, explaining what some of the more unusual items, such as ube (a root, similar to taro or a yam) as I made my selections. All three were quite good, though the Heath was really the star of the show and I would highly recommend that one. The treats held up fairly well over the next couple of days, too. Just seal them in airtight containers if you want to enjoy them later. Do wish you could order less than three. Or maybe you can and they just don't list that on the menu. read more

Very cute and inviting, it looks like a fun place to grab a snack. And it is. However, I think I was a little let down by my own expectations. The store was very bright, clean and service was excellent. The mochinut donuts were good but kind of on the pricey side. They have deals, like we bought 4 so there was 3 for $10 and the fourth was original price of 3.50. Considering the niche market it's not that bad, I did like them much more than a standard donut from elsewhere. What let me down was the bubble tea. It was too syrupy sweet for Thai Tea- I've had it at dozens of locations, this was my least favorite. The cup is cute at first, but impractical for drinking boba. It comes sealed like a soda can so, the opening is too small to maneuver the wide straw through all the ice in order to get to all the boba. I paid $6 for my Thai Tea bubble tea and had to throw it out before I could enjoy the boba. I would suggest still trying the other teas, but without the boba unless you want to wait over an hour for the ice to melt. Overall, I suggest the mochinut donuts. I also suggest trying the Korean corn dogs. Hopefully they're as tasty as I'm expecting (generally amazing elsewhere) 3/5 for now, but I would like to check back in a couple months to see if there's improvement! read more

I've been dying to try mochi donuts for a long time but have never made the time to go. After work, I needed a pick-me-up so I finally decided to go. I've heard great things about the service and food, I could not agree more. They have a variety of boba drinks, mochi donuts, and Korean corndogs. One thing to know- the donut flavors are changed every Friday. To know what flavors are available I would advise checking their Instagram @mochinut_bayshore they are very active on social media which as a customer I appreciate. Every time I go I get a Thai Tea Boba drink and it's always delicious. If available I would recommend trying the taro mochi donut it was amazing. The inside of the store is cute and colorful just like their donuts! The mochi donuts themselves are better than your traditional donuts because they're much lighter and fluffier than your average donut. First thing you need to know is, these are not donuts, at least not in the traditional sense. There is a lightness and airiness to them not found in regular donuts. I have to say they are incredibly delicious. And we absolutely love getting them. But unfortunately, there is a downside, and that is that these are some of the most expensive donuts we've ever ordered, and they are incredibly sweet, even for donuts. And for people looking for the classic, donut taste, they may leave disappointed. so if you don't mind, the mochi flavoring and consistency in your doughnut, you don't mind a donut that is almost too sweet, and you don't mind a doughnut, that costs what several other donuts would cost elsewhere then these are incredible. Like I said, we absolutely love these donuts. But they are a treat, they are certainly not our go to donuts. The bubble teas are very tasty. It's really cool how they make those little plastic cans for them. But again they are incredibly sweet. I thought I had had bubble tea before. But this is like nothing I've had, it resembles other bubble tea, but takes the sweetness up to 11 clearly, that is what people are looking for, but call me crazy, or a fuddy-duddy, but I don't need all that sugar to think it tastes good. I wish there was a low sugar version of these, because they all tasted amazing, once you got past just how sweet they were. All in all, we have been here several times now, and find their changing menu to be quite a delight, we find the donuts to be delicious (though we were already big fans of mochi) and even their sweetness is not enough to put us off from getting these tasty treats. I'm hoping one day to see a Boston cream mochinut, then I think my donut hunt will be complete. read more

We've been here twice now to try it out. Try to come on an off hour or you will be waiting in a line outside and around the corner, they get busy!!! Our first time we just got donuts, tried 3 of them. We liked the churro, but the chocolate and other one didn't have great flavor in the frosting. The plain ones with sugar or honey are for sure the best. We waited a little bit for them to get into their grove to come back and try again. This time they also had their corn dogs which are really good, but we waited over 20min to get them when there were only about 5 people in front of us in the store. By the time we got our hotdogs the place was packed with people waiting. Their boba tea isn't customizable so it's pretty sweet for me, not sure if this is just for time sake as they are so busy and learning the ropes. They recently added a refresher option which is just black tea or lemonade with flavoring, that was not so sweet and much more to my liking. We ordered 2 korean corndogs, 2 donuts, and 2 drinks, which was about $37 total. As you can see this place is not cheap, so I would only go here ever once in awhile. The Korean corndogs were very good and included sauce on the side. The donuts were delicious. I personally prefer the texture of them compared to most donuts. As for the drinks, they were good as well, but they are very small. If you want boba in bayshore, I'd recommend SereniTea, which is just a few a stores down. My group got 3 corn dogs, one flaming hot with mozzarella, a potato with mozzarella, and a potato with half mozzarella half hot dog. The breading on the flaming hot fell apart pretty quickly, but the flavor was ok. The cheese had a good pull and was fully melted. The second corn dog had a good crispy batter with the potato and melted cheese, but lacked flavor. The last corn dog we had was much more disappointing, the hot dog had blueish green spots on it that looked like mold beginning to grow on it likely before it was battered or fried. If you go I would just stay safe and not get the meat. We did not get any drinks so I couldn't comment on those, however we were able to see employees making them and they looked pretty good! This is my 3rd or 4th visit. it's a cute place, nice vibe. We ordered 6 donuts and 3 Korean dogs. While we were waiting, we decided to try the churro donut. My daughter and i bit into a raw donut. It def tasted raw/wet/soggy/doughy. So we are the type that usually just deals with it, but since the donuts are a little on the pricy side, i decided to say something. The manger i assume said since they are made with rice flour they tend to be that way, but i said i know what raw dough taste like. he did apologize and say he would refund me. i wasn't concerned about a refund, i actually wanted to replace the donuts since half of them were not edible (and i was taking some home for the kids). but whatever, it was solved. when we got home to have the Korean dogs, it's in my head that everything will taste raw to me there, so unfortunately i probably won't be back. read more

When I first was trying to go there, the lines were just way too long for me so I decided to go back on a later time after they establish himself somewhere and the line was still very long, but I just have to say it was worth the wait the store was very beautiful. It had a beautiful ambience. It was very well decorated and I really did like the service. She was very understanding and very patient with me because it was my first time coming, and I didn't exactly know what I wanted to get and the guy who gave me my food. He made sure I had my receipt and checked it off to make sure no food was being solo, which I thought was very smart and very good, and the food and the drinks were very good. I had the potato mozzarella and a Ube Boba and I was never a big fan of Boba before this, but this place made me like Boba. I have been obsessed with Boba ever since and I would love to go back. The only issue is I wish we get to reuse the cups, but I just never figured out how to reuse it. Only problem is the donuts which I also got tasted a little doughy and had a kind of weird taste to me I don't know if it was just me, but they were very good. Don't recommend if you're a boba lover. Took two sips of my boba and was half way done with it. They add so much ice it's definitely NOT worth it! Couldn't get the tapioca balls because of the ice either. I'd recommend asking for light ice or no ice.
