The food was where my disappointment set in. I first ordered a pork sandwich with broccoli rabe and long hots. Happily, the sandwich held a good amount of meat. Sadly, it lacked seasoning and flavor, and felt like I was eating baby food. After two bites, I ordered a different Kenny item. The featured beef sandwich (my long time favorite) was filled with a generous portion of beef that, unfortunately was very tough and dry. In the past, the roll was dipped in jus, and practically melted in your mouth. Now it's a dry sandwich with a small cup of jus for dipping. I'm hoping that today was just an off day because I have a soft spot in my heart for this place. After all, I'd been coming here and loving those beef sandwiches for over 50 years. Would love to see a full return to their former glory.
