Whitewater Cultured Marble showers Overall Rating 5/10…read moreI've been living with the product for 2 weeks, and here is my honest review Master Bath. 9.5 /10 Pros: Easy to clean, looks nice and isn't cold like stone would be. The seams were done evenly and spaced to match the doors. I love the symmetry. Cons: you get water on the floor every time you use it, there is no way to completely close the doors. But not a huge issue if you are ok with wiping it up every shower. Kids shower. 5/10 Pros: the glass enclosure does a good job keeping the water in. Simple, timeless look Cons: If I'm honest, I regret this shower. I wish I hadn't used cultured marble. It looks terrible for the money we spent. First the seem wasn't installed horizontally to hide it. Instead they opted to put the seem vertically right down the middle of the shower wall. It looks cheap and reminds you of a mobile home shower. This is very frustrating because cultured marble was more than the real tile shower would have been. We went with cultured marble hoping it would clean up better than tile and grout, but didn't anticipate it looking so cheap. Second, the seem wasn't cleaned well, the glue they used is smeared on the outside of the seem and is already collecting dirt. I have tried removing it with goo gone, acetone and tile cleaner. Nothing has worked. So the seem gets more and more pronounced every time my kids shower. Third, there are chips in the material around the floor. The installers didn't try to fill them in, they were just left to collect dirt. Last, (this is just a preference ) I wouldn't recommend the plain, white floor. The white floor has just enough texture to capture dirt and already looks dingy. It'll require a lot more cleaning, I wish I had picked a color for the floor. Installation: 3/10 This is the hardest part of working with this company. From the moment you pick your colors and give them money you are over 2 months before the shower is done- so plan on not having a shower during this time. You have several steps: Step 1. They come measure the shower and order your pan/walls. Then they text you to schedule the next step 2-3 weeks later. Step 2. Installation of floor pan and walls Be sure to check if a pan inspection is required- we had to do this step in 2 parts because of the inspection. Each piece was 3 weeks apart. Once finished, they text you to schedule the next step, 2-3 weeks later. Step 3. Measure for glass. Then they text you to schedule the next step, 2-3 weeks out. Step 4. Install glass. Each step takes 2-3 weeks to schedule. They do not schedule a single step ahead of time (so you won't get the walls in and have the glass measured the next day) Each step has to be completed to schedule the next step, it was so frustrating! We started on October 1st and finished the install December 17 (12 weeks later) The second problem with install is the mess they made. I had to repair the ceilings and walls after they had finished due to scratches and dents. They also don't clean up when they finish. You are cleaning the glass, the panels, the floor; everything when they are done. They get caulk all around the unit so remove any trim etc. you don't want the caulk on . It is about 1/2 inch and isn't a clean line. I spent a couple hours removing product from my wood floors and repairing and repainting. This is a small issue and it wouldn't have bothered me very much, if I wasn't already frustrated it took 12 weeks to install.

Disappointed in service when it came to the install of our shower. They came as promised the first…read moreday but the 2nd day they didn't show up because of truck issues. After I called I found out there were actually 2 installers that were supposed to come together. Couldn't the other installer drive???? Also I took a day off work just to be there--for nothing.

We received bids from at least four local contractors, settled in on a final two, and ultimately picked Mountain States to do the work. Not only did they refinish our entire kitchen, but they also re-did our vanity in our master bath and our vanity in our guest bathroom as well. That was eight years ago. Now, we can honestly say that Mountain States did a wonderful job on our kitchen and both of our bath vanities. Honestly, I'm surprised that I didn't give them a write-up back then...but I am doing it now. And I'm also doing it now due to some recent service they provided to our kitchen slide-out drawers. In fact we make it a habit to always visit the MSK&B displays at all of the Home Shows here in Sandy. We did so again a few weeks ago for the Fall Home Show, and ended up speaking to one of the sales ladies working the booth. We explained to her some issues we were having with a few slide-out racks, and specifically the 3-level spice rack to the side of our range. She said she would get in touch with us...and she did! We don't remember her name but we did get a call directly from Natasha. I called Natasha back the other day and explained what we were looking for, and she came out Wednesday. She arrived on time and proceeded to address the spice rack issue (there was a problem with the sliders that she fixed) and inspected at least six other racks for us. She lubricated all of our pull-out sliders and now everything is working great! The best part is that all of this inspection, repair, lubrication, and adjustment service was FREE. Yes, after eight years Mountain States really came through and provided some needed service to long-term - and very satisfied - customers. Thank you! Five Stars for beautiful cabinets (8 years ago) and more recently for Natasha's personal maintenance service to our beautiful cabinetry.

An appointment was set up to measure the kitchen the following Monday. I received a text that morning canceling and telling me they couldn't come and measure any time that week. I texted back with options. No reply. I texted again the next day, no reply. I called and there was not answer. Left a voice mail, no reply. Called one more time with still no response. It has now been over a week with absolutely NO CONTACT! If that is how they reply before they even have my money, what kind of response can I expect if I have a problem. Now I am 10 days behind and have to start over somewhere else. Super frustrating!

I walked in, and the owner had the knife back out to me and sharpened within 2 minutes for $4. He also gave me a bunch of great advice on how to care for a carbon steel blade. Which is the main reason I bought it. A couple days ago the spring stopped working and the blade just stayed inside so I went back today to see what they could do about it. Right away the guy tells me "there's no way you bought this from us" and then says "show me where we have this". So I literally walk over to their shelf and show him the same knife sitting there. Then he starts questioning if my knife is even real, which obviously pissed me off considering I bought the knife from them. Instead of trying to look up the purchase or actually help me, he tells me he isn't going to get to it today and maybe he'll look at it Monday. Then he has me write down my name and number and starts saying "we aren't the guarantor" and "we'll see what we'll do when we open it up". I told him it felt like he was just trying to wash his hands of the issue and he got mad and started talking to me in a pissed off tone. At that point I wasn't leaving my $400 knife there so I asked for it back, and as I'm leaving he tells me "good luck". Absolutely terrible way to treat a customer. You guys sold me the knife, you guys told me it had a lifetime warranty, and now that something actually broke suddenly "there's no way" I bought it there and you're questioning if it's even real. Look through your sales records, I'm sure you can find the purchase. I spent $400 here and this is how I get treated when I come back with an issue. Definitely won't be buying anything from this place again. DO NOT GO HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE GARBAGE

Sun River Gardens is beautifully organized, thoughtfully displayed, and stocked with a selection that puts most nurseries in the area to shame. Walking through it feels less like a garden center errand and more like an experience worth making time for. The indoor plant section is well curated and extensive. The outdoor area covers annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. The pottery selection, both indoor and outdoor, is lovely and priced accordingly. The pre-potted arrangements are hard to walk past. And then there is the home decor section, which is genuinely my favorite part of the visit. Exclusive, elegant, and full of pieces you simply will not find anywhere else, from beautiful accents and furniture to the most charming toys you can imagine. None of it is cheap, but none of it looks like anything else either. Now for the part I have been trying to figure out for years. I have a green thumb. I have a home full of healthy thriving plants. But something consistently happens with the plants I bring home from Sun River Gardens. Within a week or two, despite careful attention and following care instructions, they decline and die. This has happened enough times to be a pattern rather than a coincidence. Interestingly I have noticed the same thing with plants from other high end nurseries, while plants from Harmons or even Walmart almost always thrive. My best guess is that greenhouse grown plants raised in highly controlled environments struggle more with the transition to home conditions, but I genuinely do not know. What I do know is that it keeps happening. And yet I keep coming back, because the selection and the experience are that good. Four stars for the atmosphere, the inventory, and that home decor section. Just go in with realistic expectations if you are buying plants to keep alive.
