One would expect a service call to entail troubleshooting and diagnosis, often followed by a need to order a part and then return for installation and resolution of the issue. However, this firm simply installs the first broken part, waits for you to call again and then advises you that even though is the same appliance that they just worked on, the cycle starts all over with a brand new, completely billable service call. It's hard to find a trustworthy, reliable and honest company to work with. Be assured that Heber Appliance is the opposite of every one of those characteristics. Avoid them as you would the plague.

He was friendly and professional, didn't try to upsell anything. I opted to fix, but Austin didn't have the correct size of compressor. He made a call to a co- worker, Isaac, who had the correct and offered to drop it off. Thank you Isaac! Once we had the part, Austin installed and patiently waited sitting on the kitchen floor for it to be filled with coolant (I think that's what it was). Further they were barely any help at all to try to source new parts (did most of the legwork myself). Instead they stuck a heavy wrench tool between hinge where the door meets the oven body and applied body weight pressure against the door -- which they said has worked for other customers it did absolutely nothing at all to fix our issue except to make everything worse. Then they spent the next 15 minutes telling me to consider a new $3000+ unit.

Lourie from L&K Appliance Repair was the first to contact me directly and, even though it was a Sunday morning, she asked me to call her to talk through the likely issues, rather than just scheduling a Service call. Lourie was extremely knowledgeable and, upon answering a few of her questions, we came to the conclusion that the repair would cost more than replacing the washer itself. It's increasingly rare to find a company that is willing to put customer service ahead of profit and help someone avoid throwing good money after bad. I would highly recommend Lourie and L&K Appliance Repair to anyone, and we will certainly be using them the next time we have, any type of appliance issue.

Found L&K on yelp and tried calling, even though I didn't expect an answer after hours. But Lori answered and said she was in my area and said she'd swing by. I explained the problem, she said what she thought it probably was on the phone and said it's an easy fix. When she got here, she took a look, found the problem right away, put in a temporary fix so the machine would work for me, and said she would get the part it needed ordered and meet me back here after our trip. Her quote was very affordable. I was so happy that she was willing to just swing by and help me out so that I could get back to the pre-packing laundry that was so needed. I don't feel like most people these days are willing to just help a stranger out like she did, especially after business hours, but she was great!
