The owner was friendly and offered a good price with a good estimated turnaround time for the job to be completed. When the power washer was supposed to come, the owner informed us that person's family was impacted by the hurricane that hit North Carolina and would be delayed on that part of the contract. I agreed since that was an act of nature that impacted his worker. Then after a few weeks, I tried calling, texting, emailing multiple times to no response. Eventually I got ahold of him after 2 months and he had said he had COVID and was hospitalized. Now it has been another month since our last contact from the business owner and there has been no further outreach regarding finishing the contract. The screens part of the installation was nice, but our frame still looks like shit since it still hasn't been power washed. I am torn, but due to the continuous lack of communication and not completing the job we contracted, I can't recommend this business at this time.

That was over two weeks ago, and we haven't heard from her since. To be clear, my yard is beautiful overall, and the majority of the grass looks great. If you are planning a patio, sidewalk or driveway, we highly recommend Luciene and Five Star Brick & Pavers. We started with 3 bids for our courtyard patio and not impressed, each company taking less than than 10 minutes. We called 5 Star on the 4th bid and what a difference. Luciene spent at least an hour finding out what we wanted, checking the site and going over the complete process. We had had a tree removed to get ready for the job and she asked me if she could borrow my shovel. She spent the next 10-15 minutes digging to make sure the stump had been ground properly to make sure there would be no problems with the foundation. She was the only one that showed us actual samples of the stone and was extremely helpful in helping with the selection. She really does care about customer satisfaction. The crew was fantastic and worked together like a well oiled machine. In cutting pavers it creates a lot of dust which gets on everything. What really impressed me was the owner works and guides the crew start to finish and upon completion even washed off the dust from our home and neighbors. The job turned out absolutely beautiful and has really changed the look and feel of our house, we love it!! We are very satisfied with the paver patio 5 Star built for us. Lucy was the person who gave us the estimate, and she was the most knowledgeable of any of the others who gave us estimates for the same job. (She knew about the traits of the pavers, materials used, maintainence of pavers, sealing options, etc). She worked with us to select pavers that complimented our house's colors and she helped design what we were looking for. The day the job commensed, 5 workers showed up. They had to excavate the old patio, remove the debris, prepare the ground for the new patio, and then install it. Each worker knew what he had to do and there was no down time for explanations of what came next. Each member of the team knew his job well. The whole process progressed quickly and was completed in one day. All of the workers were polite, hard working, clean, and competent. Five star Brick pavers installed our 12 x 34 foot patio on the rear of our home. First the paver manufacturer had some production problems which caused a delay in delivery of the pavers. Their crew worked out a better design that what we originally had in mind and we love how they interpreted what we really wanted. This was needed to insure the integrity of the wall. They did have to make the wall deeper in the ground than originally estimated, which resulted in a shortage of wall pavers and another delay in completion of the work. Lynn was quick to work to get the shortage ordered and delivered, and stayed in contact with us. The end job looks GREAT! FANTASTIC!!! It enhances the look of our back yard. I asked the owner/manager--the person I paid--to return and clean up the excessive cement pieces left scattered throughout the yard, as well as to remove their company sign. They never came back. One of the slabs was poorly finished, with significant overpour and uncleaned edges (see attached images). I repeatedly requested that they correct the work, but was told this is "common." In addition to the subpar finish, they left multiple water bottles tossed around the yard, further evidence of a lack of professionalism. Photos show the poorly done slab and the cement debris I had to collect myself. You can decide if this is the type of service you want to pay for. As it stands, I will likely need to request reimbursement to have the slab properly corrected
