We worked through all the details by phone and text beforehand, which gave me the confidence to drive to San Diego knowing exactly what the deal would be. When I arrived, everything was exactly as promised. The trailer was ready, they honored every number we had negotiated, and there were absolutely no surprise charges or junk fees--just a straightforward, honest deal. I transferred my belongings from my old trailer to the new one, signed the paperwork, and was on my way. The entire process was efficient, transparent, and stress-free. I had legitimate questions about the warranty and nuCamp policy/process and instead of allowing me to ask questions, he kept interrupting me and would not let me speak. When I finally asked him whether he was going to allow me to ask my question, he said "You know, maybe this isn't the place for you. You should just leave" and he just walked away. Is this really how you treat someone ready to spend more than $40k in your establishment? From the moment he walked up, Paul seemed irritated to be having to answer any questions. Answering questions was an inconvenience. You know, if you can't answer questions, professionally, then you should be in another business, or in no business at ALL. I will NEVER spend my money at such an establishment. I will also be contacting nuCamp, because they should not be selling their products at this place. I would be careful about what this place is offering and their representations. Paul said there was no warranty on a "Demo", but nuCamp offers both a 1 year and 3 year warranty and those warranties are transferrable. This "Demo" was only a year old, yet Paul kept saying there was no warranty. They just wanted it off the lot as-is, which is not right. OR, they just wanted me to purchase their extended warranty. We didn't even get to that topic because he was so rude I just left.

So I did while I was on the phone with the bank the uhail place tried to call me , I couldn't answer while I was on the phone with the bank. The employee derrik hung up an told my husband well she's not answering the phone my husband was thinking she probably was on the phone with the bank . So he was hanging out waiting for me to call back. An the employee kept trying to get my husband to leave . He kept saying well maybe something wrong with the card. Well we already established that . My husband was still trying to wait for my call an that employee kept saying well maybe you could go to another uhail place an try . Maybe they take cash cause we don't. After arranging what I believed to be a 26ft Box truck with lift gate , (which was the major reason…read moremy husband and I decided to go with Penske ) and assuming everything know what happens when one assumes right. ;-). After My husband and I drove 30 minutes in bumper to bumper traffic , we were told that not only had there policy for renting out box trucks with powered lift gates changed 2 months ago and the box trucks were no longer available for personal use customers, only commercial customers. Very disappointing If they were more about customer service you would think they would say this unequivocally on there website in big right in your face letters, so there was no doubt that it is not possible to rent a box truck with a lift gate from them unless you have a business license . They didnt even have a truck with a ramp to offer in place of, ( which we wouldn't have accepted regardless) . Penske, it is sad that you have no regard for your customers or want to be customers. That's allright Enterprise is much more accommodating and they do offer lift-gates with the trucks they rent not just to "commercial " renters but also to " personal " renters. SO WE JUST DRIED OUR EYE AND WENT ENTERPRISE !!!

Morning of, I get a call saying they don't have the size vehicle I picked and was not able to get one within the time I needed it to move! So I called this U-Haul and they got me hooked very fast! Gentleman on the phone was very helpful and they were able to get me the size I needed at a nearby auto shop for a pickup right away. I am glad I chose them, overall with the mileage I drove for back and forth moving, U-Haul overall was a better price. Thanks U-Haul for saving me when I was in an emergent time constraint!
