We have used Gu-Wi for the last 6 years or so for cleaning our windows. This time our technician was Miguel and another cleaner in training. They both did a great job, but Miguel really stood out with his attention to detail, communication, professional, and kind attitude. An example of his helpfulness was when he pointed out a couple of screens were a little warped, which I would not have known if he hadn't told me. At the end he invited me to check the windows to see if there was anything that needed an improvement - they were fantastic. What you wrote is not true or accurate. I contacted you for the alignment. Your worker that came out did not speak English, so he would not have told me that. I reminded him the original issue and what I hired you for was the alignment, but I agreed to the cleaning. So, the PM called me later to confirm he spoke with the worker to adjust. At a very basic minimum, when you adjustment 2 angles then you are creating an opening. Why didn't they seal the opening they created by doing the work? Fine if you want to wiggle out of your work, but at least be factual. read more

I have used Gu-Wi previously to repair a gutter (not Gu-Wi's) and had excellent service then so this time I replaced my gutters using Gu-Wi and they did not disappoint. Communication all the way down the line was great. The technicians who performed the work ( Angel, Luis, and Ediberto) worked very hard and efficiently in were nice and courteous. If I ever need gutter work done in the future I would not hesitate to use Gu-Wi again and I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for new gutter installations, maintenance or repair. read more

I requested an estimate from them for window washing on Sept 15. On the 18th one of their workers stopped by and took some pictures. I was told an estimate would be sent in 24 hours. On September 23 I reached out via email to inquire about my estimate. I was told (again) that I'd receive it in 24 hours. It is now September 26 and still no estimate. Lousy customer service! First time to use Gu-Wi and everything went smooth. I requested a quote online. I spoke with customer service to answer some questions and they were responsive and professional. Once I approved the order, they scheduled the gutter cleaning really fast and the crew showed on time. I knew I had a clog in one downspout and without saying anything they removed the clog and they were really fast and diligent. They called me again to ensure everything went OK which is much appreciated. Greyson came to clear our gutters Monday, December 4, 2023. We have an 1889 Victorian in Dunthorpe with a steep 12x12 roof. He was extremely professional and positive. His work was exemplary, worked straight through for 5.5 hours, and left the site very clean! We had a pretty urgent issue, there was water coming over the side of the gutter on one side of the house and it was seeping into the basement. I struggled with how exactly to write this review. They were very responsive initially and offered the earliest appointment and best price out of the quotes I received. However, they pushed the date out after I had approved the quote. I understand things happen, but that was just the first issue. The technician showed up as scheduled and did an absolutely beautiful job on 3/4 of our pavers. Unfortunately (and this is not the company's fault by any stretch), the water in my backyard was not draining and he said he'd have to come back with a pump in a few days. I was told that I'd receive a call from the office to schedule. Days went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I emailed them. When they didn't respond to that I decided to call. I spoke to a nice enough guy who said they were having trouble locating a pump, but would get back to me once they did. I let him know that we were scheduled to have patio furniture delivered and I'd like to have the pressure washing done prior to that so there wouldn't be mud splattered on it. He told me they had an appointment the following Monday, which would be just in the nick of time. Later on, I got an email from Andy saying that they'd located a pump and could be out the following Friday. I wrote back and expressed my concern about our furniture and mentioned that I was told Monday would be available, but never heard back. Friday rolled around, and no one showed up. I called two different numbers multiple times and sent a message on Yelp with no response. I'm giving them four stars because the work that was done was fantastic, and so far they haven't actually charged us for it. If you aren't in a rush, they offer great prices and are actually pretty friendly. We had a lot of work that needed to be done. There was algae all over our roof and decks. Moises did an amazing job and was a true professional. He let me know that our deck had some damage to it before he started and so he was going to have to be extra gentle on those parts. He was disappointed as he wanted to do a more thurough cleaning but I thought it looked great. It took two sessions to get all the work done but man does it look so much better! We are very happy with our service! I reached out to four different companies and they responded right away (I never heard back from the others). Their communication over the last few weeks has been great; they are super responsive to any questions or concerns. We had a few services performed, out of order due to my error, but they offered us a discount to help offset the cost. Moises and Greyson took care of the gutter cleaning, which was pretty straight forward. Moises came back and performed the moss removal on our roof, which took longer than expected unfortunately. He came back the next day to finish the job without issue. By the looks of our yard waste bin, he was very thorough. He was also sure to clean up whatever debris landed on our patio and driveway. I had another great experience with Gu-Wi on a recent window washing job. I have used them in the past for pressure washing and recently needed my windows cleaned. They gave me a good price and were able to come out quickly. The workers were nice and efficient and clearly cared about doing a good job. The company reached out after to see if I wad happy. I was 95% happy but had some feedback on an area I thought could have been done better and they came back out and took care of it for me (even though I didn't ask them to). I hired Gu-Wi Gutters and Windows clean my gutters last week. The work was excellent, Brandon was very efficient. Not only did he remove the debris from the gutters but he also hosed them down. I wasn't thrilled about looking for a gutter cleaning service but begrudgingly got on Yelp, and got 4 quotes less than 24 hours! I worked with Josh from Gu-Wi after the initial Yelp's connection. He picked up the phone every time I called or messaged him to discuss the quote, the scope of work, and scheduling. He sent someone out the next day and the technician did exactly what we had agreed upon. Kurt, the technician, was on time, actually 10 minutes early, which I like as opposed to being late. I was tied up with my grandson inside so he asked me by text for permission to start working. He was courteous, professional and efficient, finishing and leaving the outside very clean. I liked that he was respectful of my need to keep it quiet for a sleeping grandson. Gu-Wi didn't try to up-sell me and did what we agreed upon to do. I would highly recommend their service to anyone who is as skeptical as I am of trying a new service. By the way, if you are getting a dripping noise from the gutters, it's not the end of the world. I am updating my review of Gu-Wi because everything finally got straightened out and the work was finished yesterday. A few days after my negative Yelp review, Josh called me and set a date and time to give me an estimate. He also reduced his quote substantially for the work in consideration for my wasting the entire day waiting for them to show up. (Josh explained that there is another "Josh" working in Seattle, and so they sent my quote request to him instead of to the Josh who works in Portland. So be sure you've got the right Josh coming to give you a quote!) About a week later, the Seattle company booked me for the work. But then Josh (from Portland) called and asked to change the date, which was okay by me. Finally a guy named Moises came out (a couple hours later than scheduled) and did a very good job cleaning off the moss and treating my roof, and also cleaning my gutters. He put in more than 4 hours of work because he did it all himself, without any helpers. They do everything by text, not even email, other than your initial phone call. While Gu-Wi definitely has some problems organizing their time and workers, I appreciate that they compensated me very well for the problems I had with them. And the work was done well, along with cleanup. Just make sure that you emphasize the Josh from "Portland" if that's where you live, for the quote. And figure it will be a couple weeks for them to schedule the work from the time you get the quote. read more

The person they sent, Josh, took on the task with professionalism, explaining clearly what could be done and what to expect -- and it was all good. Then he beat our expectations, with a resulting patio that was neat and clean, free of dirt, mud, and moss, looking almost like new, and the residue carefully pushed off our property and into the street. And then he also carefully spread that debris so that you could BARELY detect it in the street. Indeed, I'd say he left the street overall cleaner than when he started. :) Josh took on the attitude of service provider and owner, stating several times that his main goal was to get the result we wanted and to make us happy.
