I walked in with my friend. We are both almost 14, the first time I went in I saw drugs that were right in front of my face I thought nothing of it and didn't care while I was walking more around the store I saw drinks and then little toys I picked it up. I put it right down 5 seconds later then I saw him looking at the camera I wave it at it. He seemed to get really mad at me and my friend just for waving the camera he kicked us out I asked why but as soon I asked why, he picked up something similar to a taser. We come back a week later just to get gum and a drink just to see the same guy, I picked up the gum and say "should we get this" my friend says "yes" we were about to pay and the same guy says "I remember you two get out and leave" again I ask why but he starts yelling at me. I proceed to leave and put down the gum. A paying customer just trying to get something gets yelled at. 5 star shell? More like 1 star shit. I would first note that $20 for a taillight replacement is not a high charge. and a whole assembly on my car is about $200. But, I don't like the ads on the pumps which are distracting and I would like to say the video ads are rude: "The video ads on the pumps are rude". I will be trying to not go back. read more

The day before my wedding, I had to pick up a few people at the airport throughout the morning before getting to the Cape where the ceremony was being held. Unfortunately, I was so distracted (and thought I "knew my car" we enough) to notice I was about to run out of gas...until I did. On the highway. In the middle of Cape Traffic. I made it to the emergency lane, thank goodness, and we had barely stopped before my dad hopped out fo the car and hitchhiked to the closest gas station. I had zero idea how he was going to get back until (a few minutes later), Ghassan Tannous from Five Star Shell parked just ahead of me on the highway, and my dad got out of the passenger seat! While I was waiting to get my truck inspected, I picked a few leaves from under my windshield wipers and dropped them on the ground. The little man that works there started yelling at me. I was confused because they were leaves. I wondered if he thought I was dumping trash. Through all his yelling in a strong accent, I was able to piece together that he had cleaned the area and wanted to keep it clean. No problem, my bad, I will pick up the leaves. He comes over all huffy with a dust pan telling me to leave. I was being as nice as possible for someone who is getting yelled at, telling him that I would pick up the leaves. He was more interested in yelling than listening, so I decided to take my business elsewhere. It's a shame because everyone else there is always so nice. No one deserves to be constantly yelled at especially when they are trying to right a "wrong". read more

I have been doing business with this gas station for 20 years. Was just verbally assaulted by the owner. Last time I got my inspection sticker there I was told by the technician that I could call before I came to see if any cars were getting inspected at that time. Today I made that call only to be treated like a complete fool by the owner. He started yelling at me saying that he could not answer that question for me. I stated I understand that you cannot hold spots but am wondering if there is a line or not to get it done? I live 5 minutes away and could be there in very little time. He once again began to tell me it is impossible to tell me the answer... I showed up in five minutes with nobody there so my car was going in next. While I waited outside the owner decided to take another jab at me. He said "cmon man be real I can't answer that question!" I shrugged my shoulders and let them do their job. When my car was done I explained to the technician that I was told to call before I came in and his answer was that he didn't tell me that. Then went to explain to the owner that I was told to call before hand and he started screaming at me.... I walked away angry and will never return there. I was using the Stop and Shop rewards and the pump said "you've saved $0.60 per gallon", the pump charged the normal amount. When I went inside to ask about it they told me that I was out of luck and there was nothing he could do because I did the transaction outside, if I did it inside he could help. He then told me I must have done something wrong and he wasn't giving me money and to go away. When I said if he can't help at all then he's lost a customer he said "Whatever, get f*** out anyway then". Classy service, I'll be going elsewhere for gas from now on. I do not think you should go here for anything but gas. I stopped in for a simple inspection sticker, knowing full well my car would pass. I had some work done recently and even with all the things wrong with it before it still passed without a problem last year. I waited until they brought my car around and the guy said "you're all set". I went in to pay and the guy behind the counter said "did you pass?" and I said yes. He then looked at me all confused. Then he walked out to my car, pointed to the "R" and said "no you didn't". When I asked why it failed they guy said he didn't know. When I asked if it was something he could fix he said yes. Then I said "but you don't know what's wrong with it", his response was "oh, right". He then brought out a little hand held thing, hooked it up to my car and said it was my O2 sensor. I asked how much it was to fix and he instantly said $300. So then I said "you went from not knowing what it was 2 minutes ago to quoting me a price?" I got into my car and the check engine light was on, it wasn't on when I brought it in. Needless to say I took my car and went to my mechanic (who I should have gone to in the first place, I know) and he said it passed with no problem. I travel from Cape Cod to Boston several times a week and often stopped at this particular Shell station to get diesel fuel for my truck or gas for my car. Today I needed something a little bit extra. My left front wheel was overheating in my truck and I needed to hose it down to cool it off so I stopped in to five Star Shell and ask them if they had a hose. They told me they did not have a hose or water and yet they service cars in a two bay garage. Granted it was about 6 PM but the person at the desk was not that busy. When I push the issue and said how do you put water in radiator he walked out from behind the counter and found a gallon jog how full of water and offered it to me but still said they did not have a hose. Needless to say I will not be going to five-star shall ever again. From this day forward I think they should call themselves one Star Shell because that's all I'm willing to give them since they were not willing to help me in a time of need. read more
