These guys are the best! It's hard to find a good mechanic who's honest and professional, but these guys are just that! I've brought my son's car, my daughter's car and my car there in the past year for miscellaneous repairs. Being a female who knows nothing about mechanics, they could easily take advantage of that situation and hose me over like many mechanics would. But they never do. They're always honest, fair and professional. It's a good feeling when you find mechanics you can actually trust. They really capture the essence of hometown pride! Big Al is the Absolute BEST... My moms truck was making an odd sound took it to a few other mechanic's no-one could really pin point where sound was coming nor what is was.. With growing up with the Levis kids.. I said 'Mom stop by and let's see if Big Al is at the gas station'.. Of coarse he was working hard as always.. while he was working on another customers vehicle I quickly explained what was going on with mom's truck.. he dropped all he was doing and said let's go... we all got in truck and took a ride.. Needless to say he advised us of what he thought was the issue but would need to put it on the lift to be sure and exclaimed he's pretty busy as he had cars every where and both bays filled also. So, my mom says ok maybe one day next week BIG Al replies with No bring it down Thursday (we where there a Tuesday) leave it with me for an hour or two so I can definitely be sure of the issue.. He's just such an awesome Man being that busy and getting truck right in AFTER even stating how busy he is just SO SHOWS how GREAT he is.. There are NOT even enough stars up there to give BIG AL at LEVIS & SONS... Big Al is the ABSOLUTE BEST and of coarse Geoff and Little Al are also BUT we certainly know where they get it from. read more

Being a woman and wary of car mechanics gouging me, I feel confidant going to Levis Gulf. The work is excellent, they are very obliging and looked after my jeep well right into its old age. Then they broke the news that the car probably was not going to last much longer, not financial sound to pay for repairs and be prepared to bite the bullet and buy another vehicle. They may be marginally more expensive than other garages, but I cannot fault their work. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped in Plymouth on our New England states tour! We checked out the sites and when we got back to the car and started driving we found out we had a flat! Levis & Sons was the first gas station we pulled up to and let me tell you how happy we are that was the case! They were so helpful and friendly. They immediately helped us, pulling the tire off and pulling out a HUGE chunk of metal. In the end the car needed a new tire. They told us to go get a good lunch while they worked on the car. They even suggested a restaurant, which happened to be awesome! My girlfriend wishes they worked in our home town because of their quality service and friendly attitudes! read more

Today was my first experience with the downtown location. My car was making god awful noises when I turned and used the breaks. I called earlier this week and was greated with such a positive person on the other end of the phone. I dropped my car off and was able to pick up the same day. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. They fixed my terrible break noises and changed my oil (which I forgot to ask for in the morning). Having not yet needed a garage since moving to Plymouth I will absolutely be using this garage from now own. read more

They have two locations in Plymouth-downtown and Pinehills. I can't speak for other than their gas prices which are exorbitant! (except one other incident- I did have occasion that my visiting son needed a battery urgently and called them and was told I would have to wait to next day to have them check on availibity-UGH! But son was from out of town and needed to return home. Went to WalMart after this put off and he was on his way in less than 2 hours .Gas always 25 to 30 cents higher (same as their downtown location) than any other stations. I live in The Pinehills and refuse to go there unless I am desperately low on gas.. Seems they would do much better if they charged gas prices more in line with the area. All I can conclude is they are goughing. read more

So these guys have two locations. The new one isn't listed here on Yelp yet but it is at 2 purchase street right off rt 3 (exit 3) in Plymouth. That is the one I landed at with a dying alternator and 2 small children 60 miles from home yesterday. The guy who runs the place is a saint; took great care of us, diagnosed the problem, priced out the part, had a great price, but then was understanding when I decided to have it towed to our neighborhood garage so I wouldn't have to drive back out to Plymouth to get it the next day. He oversaw the towing, called us a cab so we could get to the bus station, and he was great with my 2 and 4 year old kids (even when they ransacked his newly mulched landscaping). He clearly takes good care of people and his garage (which is immaculate), he is honest, kind, and the other folks there all seemed happy to be there. A great spot, AND it has diesel (it is always good to know where the diesel stations are when you drive a TDI). So next time you are on Rt 3 and need a pit stop (great cafe on the other side of the lot), or diesel, gas, or whatever, take exit 3 and follow the Gulf signs (gotta exit before you can see the signs). It's a stones throw from the highway hidden in the trees. read more
