100% Disabled Veteran Warning: Marra Flooring & Their Supplier…read more I rarely leave reviews, but after a year-long nightmare and $60,000+ down the drain, I feel an obligation to warn others. From the very beginning, I told Marra that the one thing that mattered was a floor that wouldn't creak, splinter, or trigger me -- something that has bothered me since my deployment. A year later, I'm stuck with the exact opposite. What happened: Safety hazards from day one: Boards chipped immediately and lifted early. My kids and I have gotten multiple slivers -- some up to ~2 inches -- lodged in our feet. Marra didn't seem to care. Worsening over time: Even replaced boards are lifting, creating elevation changes you can feel underfoot. Rob, the owner, told me directly it was the last time he was addressing the floor -- despite obvious issues that remain. Not normal wear-and-tear: Marra staff, installers, and even the manufacturer's inspector acknowledged this was abnormal and a bad situation for me. One inspector told me outright he wouldn't sell this product because of its known chipping issues. Installation & project management failures: Basic protocol ignored: The subcontractor installers (honest, professional guys) told me they disagreed with Marra and said the flooring wasn't acclimated properly in my home before installation. No real project oversight: The project manager asked the subcontractor how replacements were done -- he didn't even know himself, nor was he present half the time. Missed scope / measurement mess: They missed ~15 sq ft. Even Dylan admitted it was missed. Later, they rewrote history in email with "not in scope." I re-measured: we had more flooring left than the zero-waste minimum, proving the 15 sq ft should have been installed. Mismeasurement ripple: At one visit, even Glenn questioned why 33+ boxes were still on site (more in spare room), he was the one that mismeasured. Supplier red flags: According to the DOJ (press release, Mar. 25, 2025), Marra's supplier Evolutions Flooring and its owners settled an $8.1M case over falsifying import records and evading duties on Chinese flooring. The whistleblower (Urban Global LLC) that sued them was extremely helpful to me. They confirmed my suspicion: if a supplier will cut corners at import, it's not a stretch to think they'd cut corners elsewhere. They even connected me to the only U.S. lab that can properly test this wood (located down south). Promises not kept: Refunds: Dylan promised to reimburse me for my own product used during repairs. We used more of my product than the manufacturer provided. No refund to date. Verbal vs. written contradictions: In person, Marra (including Rob) staff called the issues "unacceptable." Rob said he would be fixing many spots he pointed out (spots that still exist today). In email, they walked it back. Lack of urgency: I had to push to get inspectors scheduled, then push for updates. When inspectors came, they didn't even check all damaged areas. Manufacturer tried to say it was my basement being too cold, Marra didn't push back on this to my knowledge. How I held up my end: I followed all manufacturer specs and even went above and beyond by installing a robust HVAC system exclusively to protect the flooring's environment. Do your homework before trusting them: BBB: Check their DBAs, complaint history, and ownership structure. Wayback Machine: See archived warranties/spec sheets and how their parent/child entities shift over time. This company shuffles names and info. Turning this mess into something good: I have ~1,000 sq ft of this flooring remaining. I do not recommend installing it, but I'll give it to a veteran or family in need who understands the risks. If I can't place it, I'll sell it and donate the proceeds so at least something positive comes from this. Final note to ownership: Rob wears a cross -- a symbol of integrity and accountability -- but never took ownership of this situation. I'll gladly send him a signed copy of Jocko Willink's Extreme Ownership. It's a lesson this company desperately needs.

Their work on the…read morefloor was so immaculate that I had switched my other large construction project to this Team. They finished my basement and it looks fantastic! I am so happy with the result of their work, that I feel it's justified to give more details on my experience with the Sky Flooring & More: - Great communication. I received perfect amount of updates and was always kept in the loop. If surprise came up (and any homeowner knows those will happen), they let me know immediately. They offer suggestions, recommendations, and options with the cost implications. In addition to that, if you prefer text versus phone call, they will accommodate to that. For me it's a huge help as I'm always in work meetings and it's hard for me to answer the phone during work hours. - They keep timelines! I was given an estimate and their work was done exactly within the timeline they provided. They also show up on time and work all day, they don't leave earlier etc. They are motivated to finish the job as promised and to do it well. - They pay attention to details. Once done, the place just simply looks great. Everyone who enters my finished basement comments how amazing it looks. - Their work withstands the time, I am a few months late with my review, and everything looks still as perfect as it did the day they completed the project. - Lastly, they are a nice and polite Team to work with. It really helps too. So I highly recommend this company and with the new projects I will definitely come to the Sky Flooring & More! Thanks again for the amazing transformation you did to my basement!

One of the projects that we were able to complete this year was replacing our old carpeted stairs with hardwood stairs. We worked with LL Flooring on the flooring supplies and had Sky Flooring in Ashland install the stairs and upstairs landing. Rob and Chris did all of the installation and they were outstanding. They stripped the stairs down to the frame and rebuilt them with beautiful grey oak. The workmanship was top notch. Rob and Chris were professional and knowledgeable and we would definitely work with them again on a future project. Thank you for doing such beautiful work!

These folks keep records for years which is truly wonderful and sped the process both in terms of materials but also square footage. The crew they dispatched to remove the damaged carpet and install the new one worked quickly, efficiently and had my new carpet installed in an hour. They cleaned as they went and left the bedroom squeeky clean. The cost for the Mohawk brand carpet 174 sq ft including installation was $1600 - exceptionally reasonable for this beautiful, tough carpet designed for family living.
