During this entire process Chris (and his workers) were exemplary. He knows Davis regulations and building codes like the back of his hand, clearly presents his prices, and helped us navigate many tricky issues. For example, upon doing our electrical work it was discovered that almost none of our outlets were grounded, presenting a major fire-hazard. Chris worked with us to replace these at a minimal charge. He also took our many questions in stride and was on-site himself almost every day. We are so happy we went with Chris. The estimator was scheduled to come out between 12 and 1 on Monday, August 24. We hurried back from a camping trip to make it on time. When he didn't arrive by 1:13, I followed up. I got a call right away saying he couldn't make it until around 3. 3:00 rolled around and I get another call saying he couldn't make it until 4:30. Third time's the charm, I guess - he did finally show up at the end of the day, walked the project, and said they would love to handle it for us. He promised an itemized bid by Thursday. Thursday rolled around. Crickets. Friday. Nothing. I emailed again on Sunday to check on the status of the quote, and got an email back Monday morning saying, "The proposal is still in progress on our end. However, I just reached out to the estimator for an update on when it is expected to be completed. Our proposals typically take 3-5 business days, so you should receive it sometime this week." Fast forward to the end of Friday and still nothing. 9 business days, no quote, no updates, after completely blowing the initial appointment. Very disappointing.
