Property Damage: During the relocation of garage items, my refrigerator was moved. It ceased functioning immediately following the move. A certified technician inspected the unit and provided a written assessment stating the failure was due to damage sustained during transportation. IT IS POSSIBLE that it could have been pure coincidence. I did not file a claim or state I wanted money for the fridge. Financials: Zilvanis requested an interim payment of $150 for labor already performed. I paid this amount, even though the contract designated the final $300 to be paid only after a successful final walkthrough. Project Termination: When I shared the technician's findings regarding the refrigerator, the contractor denied responsibility and immediately cancelled all remaining work. Incomplete Scope: Due to the abrupt cancellation, the installation of door weather stripping was never completed. The contractor remains in possession of the delivered part.

I needed a license plumber due to home insurance requirement to do this installation or I would've done it myself. They were responsive when I talked to them through Yelp projects. I was shocked with how much I was quoted because it was almost double the price of the automatic shut off valve device I paid for. So I had to confirm that the price that was given to me was just to switch out the bad unit with the new one. They didn't have to do anything else like run new pipes or replace anything else. When I communicated to them that the quote was high, they asked how much did i wanted to pay. I thought they would try to be more reasonable since the name is The Affordable. I give them a range based on the prices from other plumbing company that I reached out to and they couldn't do it which I understand they can set their own prices. Maybe for big projects, they'll give more of a reasonable price which is why they have great reviews on Yelp but just to replace a bad automatic shut off valve with a brand new one, I think it was overprice so I used another plumbing company where they were very reasonable on the price.

Even though in the end we didn't touch the shower, it was mainly because of Ruslan's detailed explanation of what the work would entail.

Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. I called and made a next day appointment for 1pm, which was easy enough. I also explained in detail what was needed, in terms of taking down the microwave and changing the motor so that it directs the air into the existing vent to outside. The next day, 1pm and 2pm come and go, no one shows up. I call the office which tells me that there is no record of an appointment, so they ask if I called the right place. (Yes, I did.) They gave me the phone number of a manager who said sorry and arranged for someone to come out later in the day. That's a wasted day for me, but fine, I'll wait. A "handyman" shows up. I believe he understands my request, which is to simply remove the microwave from where it is currently and change the motor in the back so that it vents air up through the vent to go outside, not back into my home. He takes a part the vent, and while he's doing this I tell him that it's the microwave that needs to be adjusted, not the vent itself. I also tell him that I don't have the correct tools or materials to put back the aluminum vent that he's just taken out, that he would need to do that. He continues to take a part the vent, then tells me there is nothing he can do and leaves in a rush without explaining anything, fixing anything, or returning the vent to its original state. I'm now WORSE off due to this man, who clearly is not handy, who took a part the vent. I've called the office who said to call someone else. I've called the manager who has not returned my calls. I cannot recommend a company that is so utterly unscrupulous. After explaining the situation in detail and being assured that whoever was sent would know what he's doing, then having such horrible results, I obviously cannot recommend such a company. I would at least expect the man to fix the mess he created, but instead, he left in a rush. Again, I'm worse off than when I started this very simple request to change the microwave vent.

Alex is a true master at works for the chalking on the floor. He spent the whole day using his finger and a sponge to chalk my entire house the result is simply amazing. The chaulking is very small and hard to see and very, very refined. for the curtain. He did him an amazing job. Alex brought his high tech tools with lasers and triple precise measurements. He was nimble on the ladder and looked it like some kind of Iron Man with all this high-tech. He helped to take down the older blinds and patched up to the walls after which he recommended how to place the new curtains, including height, and whether or not to install the middle holding piece. I have spent over 3 hours working on each estimate and none of them have been acknowledged by PCH Construction. The least they could do was to respond to my free estimates and notify me that they were not interested. Only by the fourth estimate did they find the time to respond and simply replied, "We will no longer be needing this bid for this project." After hours of work, I find this type of response disrespectful of my time and I can only imagine their lack of professionalism in the workplace. Overall, I am dissatisfied with their work ethic and respect towards their colleagues.
