I'd give zero stars if I could. He did such a horrible job, leaving nails hanging out and uneven surface. My door closes worse now. Needed a door frame replaced as it cracked. After he took off the old nails and screws he littered them on my front lawn. I only noticed because I stepped in a nail wearing shoes, and I went back to watch my front door camera footage to see him throwing it on my grass. Called Movses for a small renovation to alter a closet in our guest room. The previous alteration was strange and despite working off of the architectural drawings, we were not entirely what was behind the walls. It turned out my desired plans were not possible due to some structural beams and support. Movses discovered this by crawling around the attic and making the minimum amount of mess before any demolition. We regrouped and came up with a new solution. He then improved on it by taking an unwanted door frame and door to use on the new closet. This frame and door style would have been impossible to find given the age of the house. I hired the Handyman La Crescenta (sorry forgot his name) to do several jobs in my house including hanging of 2 ceiling fans, repair of large cabinet door, and some minor electrical work. He came with his father and got the job done very very well. They took every effort to help me to save as much money as possible without taking any kinds of shortcuts. Mosves came and took it out and we found out that the drain pipe was also clogged with a disgusting black gunk -- which explained why the sink took forever to drain, too. I will definitely ask Mouses and his partner Matt to come back. They were flexible, creative, and did great work in a timely way - everything I asked for, even though I had to change the details of what I was asking them to do when they showed up for the first of two days of work because of some planning issues on my part (basically I wasn't quite ready to do what we had talked about, and we went with a Plan B, which didn't phase them at all). They even did some custom woodwork for a window that needed a specially-sized and -shaped exterior moulding. They took measurements on day 1, asked for the kind of wood they needed, I went out and got it, and they took it home to plan and cut. They brought the custom moulding back the next day (along with the extra wood that they didn't use) and installed it. It came out looking really great, and is a massive improvement. They were able to improvise in this way to great effect - real problem-solvers. read more
