They showed up on time every morning, communicated clearly throughout the project, and even sent me progress photos every evening before they left so I always knew what had been accomplished. They kept the work area incredibly clean (which is so rare), and I never felt like I was living in a construction zone. They also went above and beyond by helping with things that weren't really their responsibility, including assisting with installing my bathroom cabinet and helping with the countertop. That level of professionalism and kindness is hard to find. I received several bids before starting this project, and while they weren't the cheapest, they were worth every penny. Looking for what felt like forever I finally found Hurtado's Tile and Stone. I was greeted with a warm and friendly man named Richard. We came to an agreement to do my kitchen/laundry as well as my office and outdoor tile. He helped me so much along the way with picking tile, giving advice and even getting me good deals. The projected started and his dad Efren and brother Brian started the job right on time (this has never happened and I have dealt with a lot of contractors/workers). They continue their work and were always communicating and on time. This is unheard of for me. He even helped me find someone to do another job I needed which also turned out amazing. The flooring came out exactly how I wanted it, so beautiful! The quality of work is amazing. But what is even better is they are just great people. We have some wood floors we wanted serviced that included replacing some bad planks. Luckily, we found a few planks from the previous owners. Carlos arrived for the estimate on time and gave us honest and sincere information. Unfortunately our floors could not be sanded and refinished due to the lack of available wood on the old planks. Carlos recommended polishing and sealing the floors as well as replacing the bad planks under the fridge and some others through the kitchen. On the day for the work to be done, Carlos and his crew arrived on time and got right to work on the repairs. Day 2 was sealing day and I have to say the end result looks great. About 1200 sqft and 60 linear feet of baseboard extension for the sunken bedroom. Carlos came to our house with a sample sheet. Then measured and made an estimate that evening. Everything was above-board, in writing, licensed, and insured. The work done was beautiful, timely, and efficient! There was no materials markup: he put me in contact with his supplier, and I bought directly from them through his business account or cash if I preferred. That was good because we changed our mind about the color when we could see the large samples at the showroom. When the flooring arrived, he advised us to acclimate it for 24 hours, what a pro, then he installed it all over the weekend! We wanted to keep the existing wood laminate, you know, save $600, but he and we knew it would look much better if we replaced it all. Just look at the photos.
