Horrible company please save your money and find another pool company. They really reel you in with their small family business motto and make you feel like your working with good reputable hardworking people. Everything was going great with the company until it was time to install the pebble tec inside our pool. Per our contract we paid for pebble tec to be installed in our pool... we later found out they decided to go with a cheaper company stone scapes and never told us. Not only that whoever they contracted to install it did so incorrectly and caused dark stains in our pool, sponge marks and discoloration. Once realizing the discoloration we contacted the company nicely asking them to come out and look at the pool they Kept sending out their pool cleaner guy who continued to add chemicals to hopefully make the discoloration away. Week after week they ignored us but kept sending this guy out with more chemicals. We continued to contact the owners to ask them to come out to see with no responses. it's now been months since we have heard from them they don't want to call us back or bear responsibility for their mistake. We have paid them in full so they got our money and don't need to respond to us anymore. Please save yourself a headache and find a different company! read more

Save yourself the aggravation, take you hard earned money somewhere else. I waited 10 months for those guys to get their schedule figured out, because I really wanted ECO finish. They are busy because of the product, obviously not for workmanship. They did a poor job through out, We hired them to hook up the plumbing, they missed 2 lines and said the they were not stubbed out, we lifted the pavers and tracked to the stub out where was supposed to be. On the pool itself they did not finish water line grouting, or cleaning of the tiles, installed the instep tiles so bad that we cut our feet on it often, until this day I am waiting for them to install the water fittings. I provided them with LED light changing fixture and transformer and payed them 400,00 to get it installed, they simply changed the light bulb and did not install the transformer burning the 500,00 light. The job all together is bellow grade, disorganized, they should be ashamed for such a lack of professionalism. read more

We moved to a brand new development in Brandon,lots of pools getting installed. We chose FLA pools because of price and they had a lot of material options that were standard, other companies had less to choose from. As we watched other companies putting in pools in our development. FLA pools were as fast and generally faster then the rest. Their sub-contractors all seemed happy to work with them and spoke highly That said it's very challenging to get a pool in due to material shortages so expect delays with whoever you choose. It's been almost 20 months and my pool still not finished. Plumbing is wrong and pump is off brand that doesn't communicate so automation will be thousands of dollars more. The staff are rude. Because it's taking so long to finish, all my landscaping is dead and in addition, front pavement is cracked. Initially they even started building off the wrong plans and without HOA approval. They sometimes went months without doing one thing but when they want money they are ok with harassing me and threatening me. Just stay away from this company. Our experience has been similar to another review posted here. I wish it would have been posted sooner as we wouldn't have hired this company. A small part of the job they were hired to do was to clean and reseal our deck. They completely ruined our deck (we had a fan design on our deck) and had to redo our entire deck, having to cover up the design. I not only hate the new deck but we had such a hard time getting them to commit to getting the job done properly and we had to consistently contact them just to get empty promises! The workmanship was far from what you would expect from the average person. Many pictures were taken and sent to the owner and salesman which didn't matter to them. On top of that It took them 2 months to get the job done. They take absolutely no pride in their work and they simply don't care about the customer. Forget about them taking any responsibility for the delays or their terrible work! Save yourself aggravation! Do NOT give them your hard earned money. Horrible business! read more

DO NOT USE FLA Pools !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 4 months of pool construction (they said it would be 4-6 weeks!!!), they finally finished out pool at the end of October 2020. I could go on and on and on about all the problems we had during construction. They NEVER gave us construction schedule, even though I asked for it at least 6 times. When they first installed the tile, they didn't order enough (I had to point that out to them), so it was delayed about 10 days. Once they installed the tile, it was an inch off-of-level, which they didn't discover until a week after installation, so it was delayed another 10 days. They had to rip ALL of the tile out and re-do it. Once they poured the deck the first step into the pool was 15 inches, while the other steps were 9 inches--again, I had to point this out and asked them to fix all the steps. They were just going to install the pool liner with that messed-up step. After a few weeks, we noticed the water level decreasing about 1"-2" every week. We asked around and googled normal water-loss and evaporation, and we knew that this was far from normal, so we let them know that we probably had a leak in our brand-new pool--just a month after it was complete. Our pool cleaner confirmed the leak, because he noted that our salt level was decreasing, along with our water level. (If it was normal evaporation, the water level would increase, but the salt level would actually increase, because the salt would not evaporate.) Also, in December, just 2 months after completion, our brand-new heater failed. It took them SIX WEEKS to fix our broken brand-new heater. We also noticed that we had a crack in the deck that extended from the corner of the pool all the way to the edge of the deck (about 7'), but they just said it was normal, and they never even sent anyone to even look at it. For 3 months, we kept reporting to them that we had excessive water loss and that we knew we had a leak. Every week, we noted more and more water leaking. After a few months it went from 1" to 2" per week, to where we are now, about 1.5" to 2" PER DAY. Due to the leaks, our tile grout was falling out and we noticed some of the tile bowing out. So much grout fell out that FLA finally sent a tile specialist out to re-grout the entire pool. (They sent someone out to patch the cracked grout previously.) We hired an independent pool inspector. She confirmed that we had multiple leaks. She also said that the tile was most likely bowing out because it was improperly installed and water was most likely getting behind the tile, and pushing the tile & grout out. She suspects that we had a bond-beam break, because our gunite, concrete around the rim, and tile were all improperly constructed/installed. On top of all that, in April, our brand-new salt chlorinator failed. Again, it took them more than SIX WEEKS to come fix it. We passed all of this information to FLA Pools: That we had CONFIRMED LEAKS in our pool, and that we probably have a major structural issue (a bond beam break). FLA Pools has been adversarial from the very beginning. FLA Pools has done next-to-nothing to fix their shoddy construction. And most of the time, they completely IGNORE our communications. We are going to sue them for breach of contract. They took our $52K and NEVER delivered the product we paid for: A pool THAT HOLDS WATER. They are a TERRIBLE company! They don't know what they're doing building pools. And they have NO interest in fixing their mistakes!!! DO NO HIRE THEM. read more

My mother's pool is STILL UNFINISHED AFTER A YEAR. They SCREWED IT UP TWICE. The only thing they're good at is DODGING CUSTOMERS WHO'VE ALREADY PAID THEM. They drained our pool just before Thanksgiving in 2018, and scraped the crumbling marcite immediately. They then LEFT THE POOL EMPTY AND UNTOUCHED FOR TWO MONTHS. The Eco Finish was then applied over a 3-day period during the last week of January. THE FIRST TIME THEY HAD TO REPAIR IT was about a month later (first week of March). I had noticed large areas of bubbles in the finish in the deep-end of the pool. We reported it to FLA Pools the next business day. Someone came to eyeball it and agreed that there were bubbles in the finish. We then played phone-tag for a few weeks, and there was talk of someone coming out to dive into the pool to examine it more closely, but claimed that the water was too cold (now going into April). Eventually, another guy came out, eyeballed the pool again, and agreed that we had bubbles in the finish. AFTER TWO MONTHS AND ENDLESS EXCUSES, they finally came out and repaired their work. Note that the only returned AFTER I THREATENED TO TAKE LEGAL-ACTION. THE SECOND TIME THEY HAD TO REPAIR IT was because we noticed that the Eco Finish was flaking-off of the area that they had to re-do -- to the point where you could see the concrete shell underneath. We noticed and reported it to FLA Pools in the end of July/ beginning of August. Someone was out to eyeball the pool within about a week, and they agreed that the finish was flaking-off. We were agreeable to having the work done in October/ November, we just wanted to make sure we were on the schedule. MY POOL HAS BEEN EMPTY NOW FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS. They scraped some of the Eco Finish off. We were told two weeks ago that the job would be finished "that week." Their people also LEFT MY POOL PUMP RUNNING-DRY for at least FIVE DAYS before I noticed it. We asked them for a Letter of Intent at the beginning of this third-round with them, which they never got around to supplying us with. They told us they didn't have the materials on-hand -- which is nonsense because this job has been scheduled for months and the color of our Eco Finish the the 2nd most-popular color in the area (as told to us by them at the beginning of this whole mess). They also poo-poo'ed us when we asked them to take some responsibility with the water/ sewer cost incurred by us because of their poor workmanship. The pool being left empty for such long periods of time is reckless and irresponsible, as there is both a young child and an older-woman who has some trouble with balance and walking living here (and they know this). Today they even accidentally called my mother because she shares the same last-name as a current client, and gave her the same excuses they've been giving us. I can only imagine what other kind of crap they'd be pulling on my mother if she was stuck dealing with these people on her own. read more

We have had a good experience with Pat at this company. He has been an excellent person to deal with. The workers always cleaned up at the end of the day and never left a mess. Our pool is almost 100% done. I'll post photos upon completion. read more
