I had a great experience with this company for a rather fast leak. For $295, a technician came out and spent a lot of time examining my entire pool and spa. He used compressed air so he could be underwater for extended time, and he found the main leak was behind my spa light. Included in that fee I mentioned is a patch job. They could not guarantee it (sometimes they give a 90-day guarantee), but it's been a few weeks and still holding! I asked the technician his thoughts on the longevity, and he said he's seen/heard of some patch jobs holding up for years. Still, they also provided me with an estimate for a more in-depth / permanent fix in the final paperwork, which was also full of great detail. They also told me that they clear slow pool/spa drains! We had a recent pool renovation, and I think there's a bunch of debris down the drains/pipes, so I plan to have them back out soon for that. I see some people didn't have a great experience, but I'm happy to report that I did. I was literally adding at least an hour of water to the pool every 48 hours before this fix. They got me on the schedule quickly and were very detailed. I loved that and would recommend them for your pool leaks and clogs. read more

moved here 5 years ago...i thought we had a leak...did the bucket evaportion test..it was normal evaporation...good to go...bought a auto water refill device to keep the level at normal range...all was good for 4 years...recently i had to change the hose on the refill device..turned off the hose..next morning pool was down 5 inches!...the week before got a letter from hernando water company "you are using way more water than you neighbors"..sprinkler system overuse? nope...got a well...hmmmm...ok...must have a leak..read reviews..called leak wizard been around 60 yrs!...had a tech show up the next day..Austin, great guy completely explained the situation...did a sound test..then did an underwater dye test with a snuba compressor, mask and weight belt main drain...all good...pool light?...bingo! the dye was sucking thru that hole behind the light like a tornado..went back down sealed it up with 2 part epoxy... wham bam thank you ma'am! leak sealed.. problem solved in under 2 hours for a $329 fee...plus he gave me a bunch of tips for future pool resurfacing when we do a renovation someday. very happy with the results..fast service and i would highly recommend this company...yeah some reviews werent good...but sometimes you have to consider the source...2 sides to every story.. i usually go with a local company thats been around the LONGEST..because theres a reason for that. read more

This is a terrible company. It charged me $2150 but failed to fix the leak in my spa. The whole experience was awful. They are dishonest. They first sent someone and charged me $275 and did a little patch, but didn't fix the problem. Then I called them again. They then said it needed $1875 to fix. I paid again. But they still didn't fix it. They said they can not do it further and asked me to look for another company but will not refund me. This company is the worst I ever experienced. read more

We hired Leak Wizard to do pool inspection after we went into contract to buy a house. On the phone, while collecting payment, Teresa was very pleasant and explained to us that they don't do deck repairs, they will look for leaks and inspect the pool. After the inspection we were told "there are no leaks". We asked for report of pool inspection and we were told there was no report. Teresa was short during this call. 2 weeks after the pool inspection, and after our 10 day inspection periods as over, we were at the property and noticed significant loss of water. We contacted our realtor who then scheduled Leak Wizard for re-inspection and Jeff did find a leak in PVC pipe after pressure testing. He also told us that there was a leak from the solar panel but it wasn't causing this significant water loss. This was new to us and not mentioned in their initial "report". Jeff quoted the repair at $1,500 and suggested we ask the sellers to cover this. This is way passed the 10 day inspection period but our agent asked sellers agent for repair, which they refused. At this point we could walk away an lose earnest money so we called the office and asked Theresa if Leak Wizard would help us with the repair since they missed leak during first inspection. Theresa said "no" and was very rude telling us that she could try to explain to us why they did not find it the first time by it would be a "pointless conversation" without asking what we know about plumbing.  After telling her that her remarks sounded offensive, she become more rude and said she would not continue conversation. We had to have the "$1,500 leak" fixed in our own or walk away from contract losing our earnest money. Overall the experience with Jeff during the follow up visit was good but we feel the first inspection was not done thoroughly and the office manager's altitude on the phone after initial conversation is substandard. read more

Cannot recommend this company highly enough. We had a very significant leak that suddenly appeared, losing about a foot of water every day. The first company that came out did not find the leak (which turned out to be under the deck), and weren't too interested in urgently sending someone out for a recheck. We contacted Leak Wizard for a second opinion, just randomly calling companies trying to get someone out quickly... frankly, just trying to find a company that would answer the phone. Their earliest available appointment was about ten days out, but Jeff came by on his way home anyway, within an hour of our call, and found the leak. So basically this company, which owed us nothing, moved mountains to get someone out in an hour while the other company, which already had our money, wouldn't promise someone for a recheck in less than a week... with a foot-a-day leak. Tip of the cap to Leak Wizard... hopefully no more leaks, but they're our company if we have one. read more

Our in ground pool without attached hot tub was losing water to the tune of about 250 gallons a day. Over a typical month that's over 7000 gallons. Quite a bit of water, not to mention the additional salt used to keep the chlorine levels where they needed to be. I had another company check the pool for leaks and after 3 visits and a boat load of under water putty applied, we thought it was fixed and attributed the additional leakage to evaporation. It was not fixed and the leak only got worse over the months following. Leak Wizard has pretty good reviews, so I thought I'd give them a try. I'm so glad I did and I would highly recommend these fine folks to anyone with a pool leak. Teresa was my point of contact through the process and she was great. The technician that showed up was Austin. What a great guy. Side note, Austin, don't let your dog eat your glasses any more. Austin was thorough and explained everything he was doing, along with just being a great friendly and professional guy. He found the leak in the return lines at the bottom of the deep end and with compression plugs was able to isolate it and solve the leak. I check the pool level by where the water line shows on the tiles and in a week to the day, the water level has not changed. Results may vary for someone without a solar cover over the pool. It helps greatly with evaporation. The compression plugs are not the be all, end all repair, because the leak is underground, which will require digging and significant expense to repair, but it's no longer losing water. I adjusted the side jets/return lines and changed to smaller eyeballs for better water circulation and it seems to be circulating the water just fine. I don't think the deep end return lines will be missed. At some point we may look at a more permanent repair. I will go straight to Leak Wizard if we decide to take on that expense. There was one small issue that occurred and Leak Wizard resolved it completely. Our little ghetto water fountain that screwed into one of the jets broke as Austin was reassembling it. I provided the Amazon listing of what it was and Leak Wizard purchased another and had it shipped right to us. A perfect service recovery in my opinion. With so many companies doing the same work, one might be on the fence on who to hire. Make the call to Leak Wizard, you won't be disappointed. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Leak Wizard to a close friend or family member to take care of their pool leaks. Well done Leak Wizard! read more

I have paid to have Leak Wizard come out twice now. Teresa in the front office is always professional and communicates nicely. The first time Alex came, he had a great attitude and worked really hard to find our leak. We had sand actively flowing into our attached spa and significant water loss. After searching for a few hours he found nothing. He said he would come back with a senior tech. I paid him then although their facebook says "We guarantee to find your leak or you don't pay us a dime." The next day we had a puddle next to a near by tree. The air Alex forced into the line helped the water gather around the tree and we found the leak. I called them and told them not to return because we had to have the tree removed, even if they came out.. Short of digging up the tree nothing could be done. We had the tree removed and those pipes repaired. After a few months we determined that was not our only leak.We still had the same issues bubbles in the line and sand in the spa, just in a smaller quantity than before. So we called Leak Wizard back out. They sent Jeff the owner this time since Alex couldn't find anything. Jeff got there and was just crummy. Saying all out piping job was just terrible and it all needed to be ripped out and started new... because he didn't like it or understand it.. or take the time to understand it. We had this piping design drawn up to do what we wanted the pool/spa to do without replacing / repiping underground. Aside from it looking funky due to the original piping there isn't an issue with the piping. I've had numerous pool people back there. He dived the pool and dye checked the jets. He found leaks in the skimmer and light. In my opinion leaks Alex should have found the first time as he also checked all those spots. Said I found your leaks and wanted to leave.. WITHOUT ADDRESSING MY ISSUE! (Bubbles and sand) I asked him about it numerous times and he said bubbles in my returns were normal and sand in the pool HAD to be residual from the original leak. I know its not. Said it was due to my design of pipes. I asked him how do I get sand or air in my pool from a pipe design? He then told me for him to continue to look would be additional charges. I finally just told him to leave. He seemed like he hated to talk to me and only really wanted to talk to my husband.Talked down to me like I was an idiot. Asked me numerous times if my husband was coming back out. (He teleworks and was working).. He was the rudest person from the beginning.I'm sad of todays outcome. I really like Leak Wizard as a company even after they didn't find my leak the first time. Not anymore. I'll make sure to advise neighbors and friends against them. read more

I was in denial for a long time regarding my leak because I was afraid of the repair costs. Once I got over that I called Leak Wizard. The call to set up the appointment was easy and she explained that it was $250 to come out and find the leak. The $250 covers the cost of the repair the majority of the time. If is is something more serious they would quote the repair before any work was completed. He arrived on time and was able to find the leak fairly quickly. Even though he found the leak he still inspected the entire pool to make sure I didn't have anything else leaking. He was very professional and I was happy the $250 service charge covered my repair. No more leak! No more hose in the pool! I'm just sorry I didn't call sooner. When speaking with my pool company (Bay Area Pools) I mentioned that I had a leak fixed. They were very happy to hear that I used Leak Wizard. This Company charged me $295 to find a leak in my poole and or spa. Did not do a thorough inspection. Then charged me $1,500 to repair 1 spa jet. Did not fix the problem, spa was still leaking after they left. Called the company back and they recommended we replace the valves and any check valves that might be needed. We did so at a $1,000 and the spa was still leaking. We were told not to be concerned that we had a WARRANTY. When the tech came out today he admitted he missed one of the jets in the initial inspection that was leaking then proceeded to tell me it would be an additional $1,200 to repair the second jet. We already invested $1,795 plus $1,000 into to new valves now the company wanted an additional $1,200 to fix a leak they missed the first time. We told the Tech we had a warranty, he said that it was for the first repair only. Not Happy With This Service. We were taken advantage of, I do not recommend a company that puts the customer last and their pocketbook first. Stay away from this company. I had an appointment today 4/7/2021. The appointment was scheduled 3 weeks ago. I took off work to be home. Right before noon I called the office to get a timeframe on when they would be arriving. The office manager, Teresa rudely told me they were not coming and would call me back when they would have a better day and then hung up. I called back and asked why they were not coming and why couldn't someone call to let me know. Her response was "because we can't". No apology, or explanation. I would not give this company a dime of my money. The was I was talked to was unbelievable! No regards for my time. Update: I received a phone call Teresa Hood (the owner's sister) on 4/8/2021 (the day after the horrible attitude, lack of respect and unprofessional disregard to my business deal that THEIR OFFICE scheduled with me. She reached out to me to FINALLY apologize for her rudeness a day later because of the reviews I made against Leak Wizard on several sites. She apologized and begged me to consider taking down my reviews because it would hurt there business. Not only that, she continued to tell me that you guys were not at fault, and proceeded to give me unsolicited information that Olympus Pools owed them 6 months of payments and that is why you guys didn't show up to my home. (that had nothing to do with me!) She said she was at liberty to tell me that when I initially called to find out why you didn't keep my appointment. (Talk about business loyalty and commitment to companies that you do contact work for...WOW!) I was so lucky to have found Leak wizard. I have a new home and was filling the pool every 2-3 days since it was built. Pool company told me it was "normal" evaporation, which it was NOT. Bought a house with a pool recently. Have never owned a pool before, so when I discovered it was leaking I had a major panic attack. I was expecting a very long and expensive process to get the leak fixed. I have never been so happy to be wrong. Michael showed up and immediately impressed me with his knowledge and professionalism. This company is a joke! I had them come out twice to fix my leak and the issue was never resolved. What is really messed up is the tech Jeff Camp told me I didn't need a crucial part of my system to vacuum my pool and offered me $20. What the heck if I dont need it then why not right? Unfortunately I'm a naive 1st time home owner and new to pools. This part he paid me $20 for ended up costing me $100 and is a must have for my pool setup. The 2nd time he came out I mentioned it and it just happened to not be on the truck that day. At that point he tries to tell me it's going to be a $1500 fix. I already don't trust this guy or company so when my pool continued to leak why would I have them come out a 3rd time? All I wanted was the $80 that Jeff owed me for the pertinent part he said I didn't need. I never heard back at all. Fast forward to this week, I have another company come out and properly fix the leak and tells me there is no way $1500 in repairs are needed at all. Naturally like any consumer I call leak Wizard requesting a refund of my monies because the leak was never fixed and continued dropping. An hour later I get a call from Jeff calling me, the customer a con artist and a scammer! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I work in hospitality for a multi billion dollar corporation and this is not how people should be treated by any company. Watch out for Jeff and this scamming business that will just take your money then call and you you a conning scammer.
